File saving question from SD card to your computer. I noticed that on my computer under the file where I uploaded pictures as a Raw file, once I imported them into Lightroom classic, it saved a duplicate picture under the computer folder as a DNG file. So instead of 600 something pics there was 1300 something in the folder on my laptop. I looked at previous folders because I didn’t think it had done this before and there was only the raw file in those. I only have about 8 sessions saved and the last 2 or 3 are like this but the first several only had the raw files and not a duplicated DNG file. I know after editing in Lightroom classic, that pic is saved as a DNG that I put into a different folder to finish in Photoshop. But, why is it automatically duplicating every picture into a DNG and having an extra copy in the computer folder ? I am just starting out and realize I need a new laptop with more RAM so I surely don’t need duplicates of these large files. I deleted the folder and the

I am, on every start up greeted by a dialogue box telling me 'You can only sync one catalogue at a time - you are currently syncing Catalogue -2-2-v13-3.lrcat'  "would you like to synce Catalogue -2-2-v13-3.ircat instead'.  (yes its the identical cat no, unsuprising as i only have one catalogue - How do i stop this from continually appearing at every start up please?Btw the dialogue box offers two opions - yes sync  or cancel, i have tried both but it still keeps appearing? Has anyone any thoughts please ?- thanks

I have been shooting a few thousands images with this camera and the images are way brightI have compared with my sony camera on the same exposure settings and the GH7 seem 0.5 ev or more offI noticed the baseline exposure value is 0.5 this seems incorrectWhen I shoot a grey card the camera aims at 45% IRE the raw files shows 52%Looking at the G9M2 and GH6 those cameras had a baseline exposure set to zero and so should be with the GH7i have defined a user preset on import to correct they otherwise too bright images

Problems with photo previews - Library moduleHello, good evening.I have a problem that I can't solve or find answers to.I've uninstalled and reinstalled older and newer versions, I've changed the smart views, and I still have the same problem.My photos, some of them, in the library module, the thumbnail disappears, the editing given to the photos disappears and they are only visible in the development module, but if I advance the photo, it disappears. The editing is recorded in the xml, because when I export it, it's edited, but I have reduced visibility and I can't make editing comparisons. 😞Has anyone experienced this?I'm about to delete the previews file, could this be a conflict with that file? 

I edit in mass quantities, but this has never been a problem. (1k photos)   For context, I edit based off color codes - yellow is Work In Progress, Green is Completed, Blue is COMPLETED CURRENT work set (set i'm currently working on)    I was and culling photos ( I moved all photos from GREEN to UN COLORED). While doing so, everything became unresponsive so I closed out the app and now the app won't load up now. There were some skeleton photos (no file attached, but preview still lives in LR) but thats the only thing I can see causing this. All my other adobe/computer softwares open fine, it's just lightroom.   PLEASE HELP!!!! I spent the past 4.5 weeks editing for the deliverable this week, cruicial photos are stuck! For the past few weeks, Lightroom Classic has been crashing every time I try to import photos. I've tried from drives connected to USB ports, from a NAS connected via network, and from the SSD connected directly to the motherboard. It always fails. It starts importing correctly, but after a while, sometime immediately, others after importing more than a thousand photos, it crashes. Sometimes it gives an error, other times it simply closes the program without saying anything. I've submitted the bug report dozens of times, but Adobe doesn't seem to be very sensitive to their customers' suffering. I've tried reinstalling LRC, changing the C: drive and reinstalling Windows. Always the same error. LRC is the only program that fails. The rest work perfectly. Do you have any solution for this problem? If I take an SDR image of the CIE 1931 Colorspace image In SDR the histogram looks like this. with a peak at SDR white.When I push the HDR button.  The original luma range is incorrectly expanded to extend above the luminance of HDR "paper white" which is at the vertical grey line in the middle of the HDR histogram. This is an incorrect mapping of luminance from the SDR original to the new HDR image being displayed.It also seems that this incorrect expansion of luminance varies with the image content. Is there an option that would correctly map the SDR image luminance values to the 0-50% range in the displayed HDR image when I switch from SDR to HDR mode?  That would be the preferable starting point for any HDR modification. It would also avoid giving me the false impression that a regular jpg image is a gain-mapped jpg HDR image when it is not (which has been driving me crazy all day).

I somehow had corrupted my catalog so I was able to use an older one. Fortunately I have the thumbnails and the keywords. So if I were to pull up a keyword, it will pull up the thumbnail, but if I go in to Devolop it, it says "File no found". If I go to the Import dialog and choose "Add" only and find the photos on my external harddrive, they are all dimmed out, and I can't add them to the catalog so I can develop them.  How do I "Add" them to the current catalog, but I don't want to move them or do anything else.Thanks.

Hi, just bought lightroom classic subscribtion and I want to intall it.I get this image.  (Can't install lightroom ClassicLightroom Classic can't run on your operating system. If you want to continu, you must upgrade)the system requirement is windows 11 21H2 or higher, but I have 23H2.somebody please help

So out of 215,000 photos 175,000 are listed as previous process version, is there any performance penalty for not updating these ?.

Hi,LRC 13.4 is nott starting  anymore, i can see the program runing in the background in the Task manager.i alredy tried:-starting as admin-re instaled Lightroom an CC-i alredy tried (Troubleshoot GPU issues | Lightroom Classic (adobe.com) solution 2)

Wondering if anyone can help or if this is a bug hopefully Adobe can fix it. What is happening is if I have a folder with images (let's call it main folder) and then there is a sub folder in that main folder with images and if I edit one of the images from that sub folder by bringing the raw file into Photoshop(via edit in Photoshop in LR dialog), doing some edits in PS and saving back as a Tiff file. What's happening is two copies of that Tiff are being saved, one in the sub folder and one in the main folder where sub folder is contained. Anyone know what's going on and how to fix it, or is it a bug? I did uninstall LR Classic and re-install it, but that did not work. My LRC sets these default settings when I edit a RAW file. How can I set them to zero by default?

I use Command Option Shift Backspace a lot to delete photos in the library on my initial first pass, while also starring photos 1 or 2 stars to begin with. While doing this (on a new M3 Macbook Pro -  so it's not the computer that's causing this delay), there is a significant delay while Lightroom appears to need to 'catch up' with what I've asked it to do. Has anyone else experienced this?

Everytime I want to use "mask" and click on this symbol, LR Classic shuts down immediately. It happens since approx. 2 weeks, it appears with any catalogues and fotos.- I use the latest Mac iOs version: macOS Sequoia Beta 15.0- I use the latest LR Classic version: 13.4- I have already tried to create new catalogues...nothing helps.The shut-down problem occurs ONLY when I try to use the "mask" function, using all other functions is ok.Does anyone have the same problem, can help or give tipps what to do??Many thanks in advance!

I'm running the following version of Lightroom Classic : Lightroom Classic version: 13.4 [ 202406181129-60d181b7 ]License: Creative CloudLanguage setting: enOperating system: Windows 10 - Home Premium Edition I've run into a problem I can't seem to solve. The adjustment slider is unavailable on some of the presets I created.  The documentation states: "If you are unable to select the Support Amount Slider option, that indicates the selected settings do not support the Amount slider." But, which settings are incompatible with the slider? When I created the preset, Support Amount Slider is checked.  

Just bought a Canon Powershot SX 70 HS and took some pictures in RAW withit. Trying to import them in LRC and I get 'empty folder'?? So LRC doen't recognize CR3 files from this camera type. But this in the supported camera list??

Suddenly, when I use the brush tool to create a mask on a black-and-white image, and then adjust the exposure slider the masked area, turns to a color instead of just adjusting the brightness. It used to just adjust the brightness, but something has changed and I don't know what. I need help to fix this. 

I have a 27 5k iMac with 32gb RAM. LR 2015.8 (CC license). Yosemite.My LR catalog is around 2.5gb. The files are stored on an external thunderbolt bay with few terabytes of available space.When I start Lightroom, it starts eating up memory up to the moment that it brings the computer to its knees. Please note this is happening without me doing anything, I just start Lightroom, without any module switch or action, it will just eat up all the memory, this takes few minutes to eat up the 32gb. I have purged the caches, optimised the catalog, no difference.I have reinstalled LR, no difference.Any idea? This started to happen all of a sudden. I am totally blocked and cannot work anymore...

Hi,ich habe Probleme mit der Synchronisation von Videos.Videos werden zwar aus der Cloud nach LR Classic importiert, löscht man dann Videos in LR Classic verbleiben sie aber in der Cloud. Also anderes Verhalten als bei Fotos.Videos können zwar in LR Classic in mehreren Sammlungen enthalten sein, werden aber leider nur in der jeweils ersten Sammlung in die Cloud synchronisiert.Es gelingt somit z. Bsp. nicht, eine zusätzliche Sammlung aller Videos von LR Classic in die Cloud zu synchronisieren.Meiner Meinung nach ist das Verhalten erst seit ca. 3-4 Monaten so.Derzeit muss ich die Videos in meinem Beispiel dann zusätzlich non mal in das gewünschte Album in der Cloud verschieben.Ist das ein Problem bei mir oder haben das andere auch schon festgestellt?

Hi all, I noticed that if I put the Dell U2723QE monitor to the sRGB setting on Win11, the colors look much less saturated compared to the Macbook Air M2 screen. If I select any other monitor setting (e.g. 6500K), the colors are overblown. As explained to me in this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/129o5sb/more_vivid_colors_on_dell_u2723qe_while_connected/ , Windows does not have good color management and oversaturates wide-gamut displays if not put into sRGB profile. But why is it undersaturated in the sRGB setting? It looks washed out compared to any other display that I have and use. Also when I edit photos in Lightroom, the images do not look as they look on a Macbook, iPad, or Android phone. They are undersaturated in sRGB settings on Win11. If I put the screen to a 6500K setting, I feel like the saturation in Lightroom on Macbook and Windows match. But everything else (like Discord, and Mozilla) is oversaturated on Windows. I think that this is because Li
