Lightroom Classic

Hi all,  My lightroom classic catalog has run into some major issues and im hoping to find a way to fix it ASAP.  My lightroom has of the past few months started to run slow. I know my laptop is old but I was not able to update my computer at this moment. For the most part I could deal with it lagging a bit because it wasnt major and there was never any issues that was concerning. Recently I imported photos in, added it to a collection and started to rate them. I noticed as I was rating them 1 star or changing some back to 0 rating. It wouldn't take away the 1 star. I didnt think much of it because when I do a second round of selecting it would go away. When I clicked on the fliters section to see all of the photos I rated 1 star it woudn't show me and said there were no photos in this collection even though on the side it showed 258 images in the collection. Additionally the "previously imported" section also said 258 photos and when I clicked on that it said

I am completely new to adobe and lightroom classic. I have just installed it and trying to select one of the presets on the left hand side and get the error message above 'Some Masking models failed to downlaod. Try again later' Please can someone advise how to rectify this.

Just upgraded to LR Classic 8 and running Mac 10.13.6 on a MBP.Now, when I create a virtual copy, I see a little flash of the black frame that tells me the copy is created, but I need to go to All Photographs to see it.  In the previous version, it appeared right next to the 'original' file, even if I was working in a collection.  Is there a workaround for this?  Is there a Preference I'm missing?

After moving my 2 external drives to a new computer with all my photos and catalogue the folder tree does not show in the Import pane until I press 'Import'. When I try to import all the images are greyed out, meaning they are already in the catalogue.  I did manage to import some, before I started to get the grey out. Have I done something wrong? I am desperate for help.

Hello,   The 13.3 version added thousands of old images that were deleted in the cloud for years. That was easy to clean but took me half a day. The main problem I have now is collection names are being switched by synchronization. Exemple to clarify :   On LrC 13.3 I have a "master collection" called "Shooting 1", inside I have a collection called "Bad" (not keepers) and another one called "Shooting one" (keepers). Same for a second shooting. So my collection tree is LrC is :   * Shooting 1     - Bad (1000)     - Shooting 1 (100) * Shooting 2     - Bad (2000)     - Shooting 2 (200)   After installation of 13.3 my tree is :   * Shooting 1     - Bad (1000)     - Shooting 2 (100) * Shooting 2     - Bad (2000)     - Shooting 1 (200)   And it doest that with my full synchronized catalog containing around 60 collections. I am teaching Lightroom in my local Photoclub, and we discovered something we think is a bug. Lightroom is case sensitive for a-Z, but in Norway we have 3 more letters. æøå og ÆØÅ. And these letters are treated as special characters. When I try to search for keyword, I have to search with correct case. This is very annoying. It will be the same for Danish users. Ever since the visualize spots slider was moved to be part of the Remove panel, it can slide too far to the right.  Drag it all the way to the right, and about a third of it cuts off, as opposed to every other slider which will not alllow any part to go beyond 100%.  It's not the biggest issue in the world, but it is sloppy attention to detail.  I am using the Windows version.

Hola, cómo están? Estoy teniendo problemas de rendimiento cuando edito imágenes en Camera Raw y Lr, no importa la cantidad de imágenes que tenga en el lote sino que se agrava la situación cuando empiezo a usar máscaras. La memoria ram empieza a elevarse y no tiene límites, llega a consumir casi el 100% de la memoria, lo mismo me pasa con el CPU (procesador), sucede exclusivamente cuando comienzo a agregar máscaras sobre una imagen. Hasta hace dos semanas tenía 16 gb de ram y ahora aumenté a 32 gb y me sucede lo mismo en la misma situación. lightroom classic .   My collections disappeared after importing files to new  external disk.  The photos are there ok but there seems to be no option to make new collections in the panels.  Does lightroom not transfer the collections you have made?   [Mod: Moved to the Lightroom classic forum]

Just upated  to LR 13.5, and it will not open. I have tried resetting preferences,  Alt/Shift and still nothing.  I can hear the hd spinning and that is it.  Ideas? Thanks.   8.22.24  Update:  Uninstalled LR and issue went away for a few days...As of this am, it is back.  Rebooted, tried Alt/shift, nothing.  

The keyboard shortcut for creating a virtual copy (CMD ') on a Mac does not work for me any more. Is there a fix for this?Lightroom Classic CC 8.2 Release Camera Raw 11.2 Build 1204643Thank you!

Hi All - Previews are unavailable and when I go to import files from my A7RV it says import operations were not performed and that the files appear to be damaged or corrupted.  I assume this is because the recent LR update doesn't support the A7RV but I could be wrong. Anyone have an idea of how to solve this issue or how long Adobe takes to release an update for the A7RV? Thanks in advance for any help! 

Steps to reproduce problem:1. Open Lightroom Classic 12.4 and import files from camera card.2. Select one or more of the imported files and click in Keyword window to begin adding keywords.3. After the first letter is typed, you will find yourself no longer in the Keyword window and the single letter you typed will have been entered into the Keyword list.4. If the second letter you try to type is a keyboard shortcut, that shortcut will run.5. If you re-enter the Keyword window a second time, it behaves normally. LrC 12.4, Mac OS 12.6.8

The Library filter is switching from Attribute to None when I Enhance a set of RAW files. Lightroom 13.4, two displays. Main set to Loupe, secondary to Grid.I assign color labels to selects and then filter by label in the secondary window..When I choose some of the filtered images and Enhance, the Library filter switches from Attribute to None as soon as the first new DNG is saved out. They do successfully group into Stacks.Expected behavoir, Library filter remains on Attribute, new DNG files have the same label and should be filtered in and shown as they are created. 

I am using the Mac (Apple M2 Max) version of Lightroom Classic, version 13.5.After updating to this version, I can no longer use keyboard shortcuts to rate photos in the second window.Is this a bug or are there secret settings in which I can reactivate this? Best regards, Bernhard

Suddenly upon import, LrC converts the NEF files to DNG files and saves them separately in the images folder. He never did that. How is this possible? How can i change this? 

Hi, I'm finding that Lightroom has started running slowly and, at times, is barely usable. I think this started after I upgraded from Windows 10 (64-bit) to Windows 11, although fellow photographers say they have no issues running Lightroom in Windows 11. I'm running Lightroom Classic 13.4. My main issues areit can take a minute to open Lightroom;the UI refreshes are so slow I can see individual menus and widgets being painted; andthe response time between moving a slider and seeing it affect the image can be seconds. I have created a 7 minute video of what I see when I do an edit that I consider reasonably straightforward. The video is 257MB, but I can upload it as chunks, if it is helpful. My questions are, is this the sort of performance I should expect and, if not, do you have any advice for me on how to improve performance? I have already done the standard things advised: a fresh install of Lightroom, setting the GPU to auto etc. I have also stopped many o

  I have 2 drives on my new Windows 11 machine C:  for applications (including Adobe) 😧  for documents, photos, LR catalogs, etc.   I also have 2 distinct LR catalogs on my D drive under PICTURES.  Land photos: MyLightroomPhotos Underwater photos: MyUnderwaterLightroomPhotos ONEDRIVE set up a new LR catalog on my C drive (automatically) which I don’t want and haven’t opened.    Question 1:  CAN I JUST DELETE the ONEDRIVE Lightroom Catalog on the C drive??? Question 2:  CAN I TURN OFF ONEDRIVE ALL TOGETHER? Question 3:  Why would the D drive catalog (“MyLighroomPhotos”) pull in my entire D drive (including all videos, documents, pictures, etc, including 141 (of 13,000) images from MyUNDERWATERLightroomPhotos catalog? Question 4:  I can use the command ”remove from lightroom” to get all the misc. documents, videos, and unrelated pictures out of my MyLighroomPhotos hierarchy/catalog – BUT - if I try and move the MyUNDERWA

Hi!I just updated my lightroom classic to version 10 and all my pictures transformed a lot brighter after opening them in the 'develop module'. First it looks like it is loading the preview in cache (normal exposure in lightroom 9). After that a new preview is made which appears a lot brighter (too bright in my eyes). Also the histogram is chaning. I also tried exporting a picture with exactly the same settings, the one exported with lighthroom 10 comes out a lot brighter / overexposed compared to the one exported in version 9.x.After some research it seems that this is only happening with the photos coming from my R5. But it affects (in a bad way) all my edits I have done in the past weeks. The photo's from my 5d IV and 5d III are not changing. Can someone explain how this could happen and if there maybe is a solution. Thanks a lot in advance!
