The latest version of LRC prevents my scrren saver and display sleep to be invoked when LRC is open. If I quit LRC, the screen saver and display sleep work like they are supposed to.
On holiday I took several thousand images saved on SD cards. For some I inadvertently used the RAW+JPG setting. I want to avoid loading the JPG images to Lr Classic

HDR in Lightroom Classic: Essential Tips During Adobe MAX'23, Lightroom Classic introduced HDR editing capabilities, granting you greater control over shadows and highlights to faithfully represent your visual experiences in your images. However, before delving into these advanced editing features, it's imperative to verify that your system and display are compatible to fully leverage HDR editing. Additionally, understanding the proper export techniques is essential to capitalize on the benefits of HDR editing. ❶Does your set up meet the system requirements? Minimum and recommended system requirements for Lightroom Classic can be found here. Specifically, for HDR you’ll also need to make sure your display supports HDR. Are there any issues with Lightroom disabling an external hard drive so that Apple can no longer read it? If so, is there a fix? I have a 6 mo old Sandisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSD. I use LR Classic on an 2 yr old Macbook Air M2 chip on Sonoma 14.5. A few days ago all was fine - I had used maybe 20% of the capacity. Now when I attach the SSD, Apple tells me it's not readable. When I initialize it, the device name has changed back to the default SanDisk name, and the drive's 1T capacity is completely full but I can't see any folders or files. First Aid didn't pick up anything unusual. I've tried different plugs and ports, shut down/restarted the laptop, and nothing has helped. Not sure if the problem is Adobe, SanDisk or Apple in nature. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Hi everyone, my Lightroom Classic is opening up all my NEF files ,in the develop module, with +0,33 exposure, -21 lights and +10 shadows. Allways shows these same values that I have to put to zero when I start to develop any photo. I've tried to change preferences values but it´s imposile, always my LRC starts the develop module with these 3 deafult values instead of zero. Anyone who notices same problem? Thanks Arturo
Anyone else experiencing "lock-ups" in LRC when using masks after installing v 13.3? Ever since installing everytime I try to use making the system locks up and I have to do a force quit. Using a Macbook Air M1.
I understand what's in the referenced post. What I would like to do is as follows. Can you tell me how to do it.1. I'd like to safely delete all content (Photos) from the LR (Cloud) account. Can I delete the 1,000 photos that i can see in the LR (Cloud) account without them being automatically deleted from LR (Classic) ?2. I'd like to stop LR (Classic) , my iPhione or anything else syncing my photos automatically to the LR (Cloud) account without me specifically requesting it for say a small batch of photos.3. Subsequently, I'd like to be able to sync a batch of photos (eg my latest photos) to LR (Cloud) so i can see them and edit them on ipad for example. How do I do all that please?
Since the update to LRC 13.3, I am facing various performance issues (slow response time in Library as well as in Develop modules) and I believe that I have discovered steps which might lead to this issue:Whenever I add a large photo (big DNG file rcreated by AI Denoise or a Photoshop document) to a synced collection, it is seemingly synchronized with the cloud very fast and also the cloud icon in the upper right corner of the Lightroom UI suggests that everything is synced. I would expect normal performance as nothing suggests any activity. However, when I look at the system activity monitor I can see that Lightroom keeps using a lot of CPU for several minutes and its responsivenes steeply decreeses even for basic actions (e.g. changing the star rating, collapsing stack or similar). The issue disappears after couple of minutes and everything is back to normal until I add another photo to a synced collection. My assumption is that this might be caused by some heavy processing on backgro
I've been trying to understand better how the global luminance noise reduction slider values (0-100) interact with a mask luminance noise reduction slider (-100 to +100). In all cases "NR" here is just basic luminance noise reduction amount, and I'm leaving the global detail/constrast at default 50/0. My understanding/expectation was that the global and mask NR settings were directly tied to each other. So, they would essentially net out on a 1:1 numerical basis. If that were true, I'd expect that global NR 50 and a mask with NR -50 would result in zero net NR in the masked area. I.e., no difference in the image in the mask. That's not the case. Adding the NR -50 mask "sharpens" the masked area back up to some extent (removes some of the blurring effects of the NR), but it is still less detailed/blurrier than the original. There is some effect from the NR at play. Even dialing the mask NR adjustment down to -100 doesn't get me back to the original overall pre-NR state. D
I edited a number of photos in LR Classic, then created a collection from them. I can see all the photos on the LR apps on my iphone and ipad. Everything seems to be synched (and all the apps say that synching is complete). However, I had a dust spot on the camera sensor which I removed in these photos using the content aware remove tool and whilst they don't appear in LR Classic, they do appear on the mobile apps. Interestingly I also exported these photos as jpegs and the dust spots don't appear in those images.I think all the other edits I made to the photos have synced correctly.I have turned synching off and on again, closed and reopened the apps and LR Classic but the spots remain in the mobile versions of LR Also getting 'Waiting for settings' message on some of the collection on the phone app (not on ipad) Classic version 13.0.1Mobile app version 9.0.0Fully synced and backed upGreen tick on cloud synch icon (top right of LR Classic)Ventura 13.6iOS 16.7.1
Hello Everyone, i got this problem (as shown in subject) since i installed lightroom classic on my PC.i tried to uninstall it once but the problem still occured. I found one solution from youtube video that i have to turn off half of my CPU Threads from 12 to 6 (i use Ryzen 5 3600x 6 cores 12 threads) it solved the problem tho but it makes lightroom a lil bit slower than usual and it also has to be set every using the LRC.What i ask you guys is there any problem solver other than this?Thank you before.Peace!~Alqassam.
Hello, I take photographs with a Sony A9ii mirrorless camera. I download and organize my photos with Lightroom Classic (13.2 release, Camera RAW 16.2) on a Mac computer. If I take photographs and videos (using the same camera and on the same SD card) at an event on June 1 and download them via LRC, my photographs will be correctly placed in a folder marked 2024-06-01. HOWEVER, the videos will be incorrectly placed in a folder marked 2024-06-02. A day LATER. I have checked the metadata. Both the photographs and vidoes says June 1 but LRC insists on placing all the videos in a folder with a date a day later. Can anyone please tell me why it's doing this? Thank you in advance. Cheers. David.
Hi, whenever I start an export with more than about 8 images in it that I want passed to another application (e.g. PTGui, Photomatix etc.), the 'post-processing' application gets kicked off after the first 5-8 or so images have been exported, and then another instance is started for the next 5-8 images, etc.How can I make Lightroom wait until all of the selected images have been exported, and only then start the 'post-processing' application? Gary

Hi, I have heavy lags in Lightroom which I relate to the 13.3 update:- Zooms and moves lags.- Colour adjustments lags.- Precision tools like healing brush and clone tools are impossible to align with precision.- … It seems like everything related to the display being laggy. To me it started with the 13.3 update. I’m on Windows 11 Pro, Processor Intel i9 12900k, 32gb of DDR5 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060Ti 8gb. Windows is up to date as all drivers and software, Lightroom is v.13.3.1 and the graphic card driver is NVIDIA Studio 555.99. I clean all Lightroom caches, deactivate every plug-in and tried to set the graphic acceleration on manual all on, auto or totally deactivated
I have been using Lightroom Classic for editing a gallery of wedding photos and everytime I try to do a simple task, anything from clicking from one photo to the next or applying a preset, it lags significantly. I am working off of a MacBook Pro (Sonoma 14.5) (2.2 GHz 6-core Intel Core i7) with 74 GB available of 250. I have optimized the catalog and the catalog only has 3000 photos, which is a decent amount, but not much more for any other wedding gallery I have edited over the last 5 years... Any suggestions are helpful!
Issue with Masking Feature in Lightroom and PhotoshopDear Adobe Support Team,I am writing to report an issue I have been experiencing with the masking feature in both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.Every time I attempt to use the masking option in either software, a warning message appears, forcing me to close the program. This issue disrupts my workflow and prevents me from using these essential features. Here are more details about the problem:I am using the latest versions of both Lightroom and Photoshop. My operating system is Windows 11 Pro.My system specifications are:Laptop: Dell Precision 5550RAM: 32 GBCPU: Intel Core i9GPU: NVIDIA Quadro T2000Storage: 1 TB SSDSteps I have taken to resolve the issue:Reinstalled the software.Cleared the cache.Restarted the system.Despite these efforts, the problem persists. I would appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this issue and whether any specific actions are required on my part.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look
Hi, I have both a Z6II and OM1. When I set my raw deafults in LRC (under Preferences) I select the 'Global' to be 'Camera Settings'. I quit and restart LRC. I open LRC, import some photos from either camera, in the 'Apply during Import' | 'Develop settings' - I select 'None' (that is how it's supposed to work, right, if you want to apply the Raw Defaults set in Preferences?)(These files are already on the local disk but NOT in the LRC catalog - so it's an 'Add') I click Import. Once the import processes have finished, I check the assigned Profiles on the raws and = Adobe Color. LRC is not seeing my OLY Camera Natural or Nikon 'Standard' or any other picture profiles I might have set within the cameras, such as Monochrome. These profiles are listed BTW in LRC's Profile Browser. I tried this; Left the Raw Defaults at Camera Settings / imported from OLY OM1 but selected 'Camera Natural' from the Import dialogue dev settings. The result was awful -
For many years, and through many versions of Lightroom Classic for PC, I have been annoyed by a minor bug. Please can someone explain to me how I can get this seen by developers and a resolution included in an upcoming version? When I create a new collection (or collection set) using the context menu, the mouse cursor disappears. My workflow usually consists of creating collection sets for each shoot, with multiple collections per shoot, so it slows me down a lot. Here's a video showing the issue in practise. As you can see, the mouse cursor disappears as soon as you press ok / hit return, when creating the collection. I don't think OS or lightroom version matters, as it has done this whilst on Win 10, Win 11, and across different devices with different hardware attached. For example, I use RDP to connect to a Windows virtual machine, and it happens there too. But I'm on Win 11 (23H2), Lightoom Classic 13.3.
I've been copying my lightroom catalog and photos from my windows pc to my macbook and back for some time with no issues. Now when I copy from my PC to my Mac all of my photos show up as 'not found' - i.e. and ! appears in the top right hand corner. The path name in the catalog is the windows path name - D:/Photography/... and not the Mac path name. Has something changed here as I said it's been working properly for me for some time. Lightroom Classic version: 13.3.1 [ 202405311538-6d7c0308 ]License: Creative CloudLanguage setting: en-AUOperating system: Mac OS 14Version: 14.5.0 [23F79]
After the update to Lightroom CC 13.3 on my MacMini M1 (Sonoma 14.5), after some minutes of working, Lightroom CC becomes practically unusable. Even applying Presets, flagging files as "Picked" or adding them to a "Target Collection" takes ages. The overall system performance is OK, everything else e.g. playing Youtube videos, browsing the web, even writing this post is working as expected in parallel. No "spinning beachball" or anyhing like that. It seems as if Lightroom or the Catalog internally becomes very busy for some reason. After some seconds all actions that have been issues in the meantime are done in one go, comparable to some tasks that are queued and then are released all of a sudden and the game starts from the beginning. Also a restart of LR CC helps for a few minutes. I didn't have any issues before the 13.3 update, so I suppose it is directly related. Any ideas or suggestions on how to debug further are welcome.
Can some one help me? As recommended by another community.adobe thread, I recently deleted the Previews.lrdata folder because it was taking over 400GB of my 500 GB space on my Mac. Since then, Lightroom Classis is running crazy slow. It takes minutes just to click and drag photos to a collection folder.
How can I ensure raw files from my camera are imported to my external hard drive and not my C drive? The C drive keeps crashing with overload. Thanks/
I am running LRC 13.3.1 but all the 13.X version are really slow to export (3-4X slower) compared to 12.X on the same pics/system/setting. i am running a Macbook pro M1 Pro, on Sonoma 14.5 any solution? actually fujifilm X-H2 Raf to jpg take around 3 seconds, while before was less than 1 second to export, and thats really problematic when exporting a studio session with 600/1000 pics.... going back to 12.X is not an option since i have updated the main catalog and already used AI Erase on several photos. thanks
