Unfortunately I updated to a "banana-version" of LRC. I am no longer workable. Zooming to 33% results in an application crash. Using the new advertised AI-feature for removing distractions, the progress stops reproducible at 75%. I want the very stable and working older version back. How can I organize a rollback? All answers are welcome! My OS is Windows 10.
We're happy to announce the release of Lightroom Classic 13.3.1 What's new in this update? Here's my context: I created a collection made in LrC with photos that are synced with Creative Cloud.I can see this collection and its photos accross all platforms: Lightroom Web, Lightroom macOS Desktop, Lightroom iOS and Lightroom ipadOS.All development changes made on these photos in LrC are synced as expected with Creative Cloud and visible accross my whole Lightroom ecosystem. Here's my problem:When I change a development setting in every Lightroom but LrC, this change is not synced back to the photo in LrC. Here's my configurations: macOS 14.5 (MacBook Air M2 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD)Lightroom Classic 13.3Lightroom 7.3 ipadOS 17.5.1 (iPad Pro M4 512 GB SSD)Lightroom 9.3.1 iOS 17.5.1 (iPhone 12 Pro Max 256 GB SSD)Lightroom 9.3.1
Hi i have a new canon r10 and copied photos from this to my pc, when i tried to import to Lightroom but the thumbnail pics say preview unavailable when I do the import it says files appear to be unsupported or damaged. Apparently lightroom is up to date, what is required to fix this. Thank you
I am installing LrC on my Windows 11 PC, this is my initial install.I have run the Import function as described in the online instructions, to create the catalogue. No filters are on, include subfolders is ticked.Over 300 of my folders have not been picked up in the catalogue process. My folders are mostly labelled in the format "yyyy mm dd", plus a few folders with random names. None of the folders after "2021 10 09" have been included in the catalogue. Why are they not included and how do I get them into the catalogue?
Filtering folders and collections by entering text in the field above the folder or collection hierarchy in the panel on the left no longer works. When I enter a text, the result always remains empty. I'm not sure how long this has been the case. It could coincide with the upgrade to version 13.Filtering by color, synchronization or favorites does not work either.I have created a collection set to test this: If I filter for "Teneriffa", "Porto", "2022", "2023" or for "collections marked yellow", I should get hits. However, the results list always remains empty. Here, for example, is the result when I filter for yellow collections: Is there perhaps a setting somewhere that I have inadvertently changed?I would be really grateful if someone could give me a tip. BRThomas
The Issue:My photos refused to sync across devices, for some reason pushing a new sync then freezing at 140 images.Three agents, three screenshares, and no solution. They actually hung up when they realized they couldnt easily fix it.Tech Team Mirage:Agent #4 promised to escalate to the tech team.Weeks passed—no updates, no magic.Epilogue: Silence:This is my job. I need Lightroom to function. Im editing on my tablet to circumvent this all right now.
We've just gotten the new category "exported files". I have multiple user presets for exporting. Is it possible to make it so a user could choose a subcategory such as: exported files>instagram. That way we could search deeper and also make a "collection" of a specific type of export.? I suggest this because I'd like to keep track of what images I've posted to social media, etc.
I'm running Lightroom Classic V13.3 on a 2019 iMac using Sonoma 14.1.1. Since updating to the latest LRc version, the system locks up (unable to add or delete) when editing keywords for specific images. This problem seems to get worse the longer my LRc session runs. I generally do a shutdown w/o backing up and that fixes the problem for a while. I've also shut down with backup but that doesn't seem to resolve the issue. I've been working on LRc for nearly 2 hours this morning and this problem has occurred about 7 times; it was probably 40 minutes before this first happened in todays session.
I am using the latest version of LrC 13.3, Mac OS Sonoma 14.5, and Canon R5 Firmware v 2.0.0. When shooting tethered LrC is unable to detect camera. I have tried rolling back to LrC 13.2 and it worked for a while and failed again. However, EOS Utility is able to detect the camera, no issue. PS. I tried tethering to my windows laptop using LrC 13.3, the same cable and they are working fine. Anyone using Macbook facing the same issue and is there a solution?
I am looking for workflow suggestions when working with large quanities of images. I shoot action photography. One event my have 2000+ images in the camera. I usually favorite my images using Canon's 5 star rating in the camera. I don't believe there is a way to import only the starred images in Lightroom. If I am wrong, please help me discover how to do this. I rarely need to import all 2000+ images, so it seems like a waste of time and space. I tried using Bridge, but am not familiar with the application. I was able to filter only the starred images in Bridge, but then it appears I need to export them to a folder and then import them into Lightroom. There has to be a better way. No?
Hi everyone, ive recently moved my workflow from working with lightroom classic and importing photos into an external drive to just importing the photos to the cloud on a ipad. However now that my online storage is almost full, i want to move a batch of photos into my external as backup and clear the cloud storage. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks
I'm trying to use Lightroom Classic but every time I launch it, it says "The Lightroom Catalog "Lightroom Catalog" is corrupt and cannot be used until it is repaired." As it repairs, it crashes halfway through and doesn't do anything. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this?
Hi, lately I noticed that LR doesnt show previews in the library module for many of my photos. It did not even build them without "force" - I had to select the image and then after some time, the preview was built. I deleted the complete preview folder, but the problem persisted. SOME photos got their preview rebuild nearly instantly when I scrolled through the library, others refused to show their preview. Task manager showed LR idling at 0.5 to 0% CPU (and I DO have a nice machein!)Playing around I at least found WHICH images are the problem: Metadata -> Develop presets. ALL images WITH (any) develop preset work as exprected, previews created ultra fast. All image without preset have problems with preview.Questions:1. Anybody else with this problem?2. Any "workaround"? Like adding a "dummy" preset to all images with no preset?3. Is it a bug or something corrupted in my catalog?

Hi,I know that starting with the May 2024 release of Lightroom Classic (version 13.3), listed Sony cameras are now supported for tether capture. Has anyone SONY camera users able to tether it? My current camera is Sony A7C II, firmware 1.02, Lightroom Classic v13.3, as promised but has failed to do so. Suggestion please...
I see a massive difference between a picture in Library module and Develop module. The picture in Develop mode is what I am looking for, with all the tweaks I've made, but the library view is close to as shot. I've attached examples below. It's not just one picture either. it appears to be across my whole catalog. I have turned on lens correction on import. It's almost as if Lightroom has forgotten my edits when I leave develop mode. Further, the picture exports as it looks in Library, not Develop as I would expect. I've tried exporting with different color spaces (Adobe RGB, ProPhoto RGB and sRGB) and nothing changes. I'm running the latest update for Lr Classic (13.2) and Windows 11 Home is up to date as well. I've searched through the community and haven't found an answer that fits for me , so I'm bringing my problem in with the hope someone can tell me what the issue is.
Video playback performance in Lightroom Classic CC is generally bad and usually degrades after attempting to playback a few videos. Playback is typically choppy, even with relatively lightweight HD files, and especially with UHD or 4K+ content. The video will often stutter when playing, sometimes skipping large sections of video, or playing at a low frame rate and other times completely failing to playback the visuals all while the audio finishes playing. Video in Lightroom Classic usually also appears very low quality when attemting to playback, usually playing at lower resolution with lots of jaggies / aliasing. Lightroom Classic has advertised a lot of useful video tools (see: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/video-lightroom.html) that are nearly impossible to use properly due to its inability to playback video properly. This issue has been persistent in LRC for years, across multiple systems and any catalog with more than a few videos in it.
How to reproduce: 1) Open the develop module2) Select a Collection3) Right click and select: "Export this Collection as a catalog..."4) Select a folder5) Select options to export raw files too6) Click on the export button7) Do something else, Lightroom may fail the export with "Lightroom was unable to export the catalog due to an unexpected failure." Hello Since its last update, LC is driving me crazy with metadata. I write, over and over again, the title and caption... and they disappear! It's random, some images keep the metadata and others don't. It also does strange things when trying to synchronize metadata (title, caption and keywords, mainly). Please Adobe, this is NOT serious and it is wasting an impressive amount of time. It's unfuriating!
Using LR Classic 13.3 (Windows 11) in Develop mode, I'm pressing Control+U to execute the Auto Settings function of the Basic editing panel. When I do so, a "Choose Folder" dialog is presented, instead of Auto Settings being applied to the selected image. (Since I'm not sure why it is asking for a folder, and what it would do to or with my images if I choose one, my response has been to cancel.) The same occurs if I have multiple images selected when I press Control+U. The Control+U shortcut is listed as "Auto Settings" in the Develop Shortcuts pop-up (Control-?) and in the LR Classic Keyboard shortcuts help page updated May 21, 2024. What am I missing?
I am trying to get a better understanding of what LRC does when I print an image. According to Adobe Help (https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/color-management.html), DRAFT printing is done using Adobe RGB, so I have to assume that for regular printing, ProPhoto RGB is used. However, my printer (Epson SC-P800) does NOT have ProPhoto RGB as an input color space option (in the "Mode" setting in the printer dialog). Given this discrepancy, how can printing using the setting "Profile - Managed by printer" ever be expected to give an accurate print?FYI: I am using LRC: v 13.3 on Windows 11-23H2Thanks, Adriaan Sachtler
