In LcR, there is no preference setting to PREVENT the prompt to confirm deletion from my Disk … or at least I can’t find one.I’m an adult and I know what I’m doing and do NOT want to be prompted every time I want to delete a image from disk. Am I missing something? If this is “By Design”, is there any future plans to address this shortcoming?
Generative Remove Failed. When I start working on an image on a new day/the following day, I get the “generative remove failed” prompt. It just stops working for whatever reason. I always have to restart my computer in order for it to start working properly again. My current workflow is on a 2023MacBook Pro running macOS Sequoia Version 15.7.5
I asked a question about the different defringe tools in masks vs. global, but no one knew the answer. I am now requesting a new feature. Please add the mask Defringe to the global edits. It works much better than the current global Defringe and also is much easier to use without all the bad side-effects that the global one often has. Currently the kludge is to create a linear gradient that covers the whole image and then use the mask Defringe, but it would be easier to just make the mask version of Defringe in the global edit controls. Sure, keep the old one too for those who want to use that one.https://community.adobe.com/questions-675/defringe-mask-vs-global-1556459In a mask we can use the Defringe control and it works well. Sometimes I create a mask over an area using a brush or gradient solely to use the Defringe tool. Why is Defringe in a mask so easy to use, effective, and without the bad side effects of the complex Defringe in the global tools? The global Defringe tool r
La función de mascara en lightroon CC no me funciona desde que instale la versión macOS Tahoe 26.3.1. Adobe no me da una solución después de contacto von ellos en varias ocasiones. Estoy desesperado
I am experiencing a consistent 1-second Develop panel 'grey-out' lag in Lightroom Classic 15.x despite using a fully optimized Ryzen 9 7950X3D (34,745 Cinebench pts), RTX 5080 16GB, and triple Gen5 NVMe setup, even with Smart Previews enabled and GPU acceleration toggled; please advise on a fix for this UI synchronization issue
LrPublishServiceProvider plugin shows 'Publish Services: none' in Plug-in Manager, does not appear in Publish Services panel, Lightroom Classic 15.2.1
After updating to Lightroom Classic v15, AI masks stopped updating automatically when syncing develop settings across photos. In previous versions (14.x and earlier), AI masks such as Subject, People, and Sky would recalculate automatically after copying or syncing settings. In v15, a yellow “Update AI” icon appears, but Lightroom no longer updates the masks automatically. Each photo requires a manual “Update AI Settings” action, which makes batch editing impractical. Additionally, even after manually updating an AI mask, it sometimes resets or disappears. The mask object remains in the panel, but the mask itself turns completely black, with no selection inside it. This happens randomly across photos and affects various types of AI masks.
im currently trying to make the switch from lightroom mobile on my computer to lightroom classic. but, the photos from mobile won't sync with classic. it says its in the process of syncing, but it never actually syncs a single photo.
I just purchased a Nikon Z5 II, setup the cloud, which puts my RAW and JPEG files into Lightroom. When I go to a photo, all of them say The digital negative (DNG) file is incompatible with this version of Lightroom. I have version 5.5 What am I suppose to do?
I am getting this error message when trying to Export as Catalog: I’m running on macOS Tahoe 26.3.1 with Lightroom Classic 15.2 on MacBook Pro 16-inch, 2023 with 16GB of memory and about 197 GB free space on the hard drive. The target for the export is an external hard drive with 1.85 TB available. There are about 113 GB of images in the catalog (some are on external media). A few minutes after starting the export, the progress bar seems to freeze. About five hours after starting the export, the export process appears to die with the above message opening in its own window. I’m trying to export around 10,000 images. While the export is running, Lightroom Classic does not appear to be consuming a large amount of CPU or Memory.
When creating a smart collection I have the option to create different conditions but only to select either “Any”, or “All” or “None”. I would like that for each condition I could select if a AND or a OR should be applied.Example: I want a specific collection where I have used any of my main cameras and a specific lens, I want to be able to create something like Camera SN is abcd OR Camera SN is efgh AND Lens is xpto.
I’m getting an AI Edits storage error when opening Lr Classic 15.2.1 and have followed the suggested fixes and non work. I’ve read posts saying to contact Adobe Support for a tool to fix a corrupt Lr Catalog. How on earth do you even contact Adboe Suppor??? All I am able to get to is the Community. How do I fix this annoying error prompt?
So I don’t use lightroom for anything that graphics intensive. It’s main purpose as far as I am concerned is to embed keywords into the files. But When I tried exporting an image, it turned my desktop black. I am sure this is probably indicative of a much bigger problem because who cares about lack of wallpaper on a desktop. Anyway, I googled that it was probably something to do with incompatibility with drivers or not having the latest version of lightroom. [BTW, I turned off auto updates because the updates always ruin everything and make everything unusable with all this AI bloatware… but I digress]. This time, I updated lightroom and it still happened. Is this reallyl a thing. And do I need to permanently turn off graphics card acceleration? Really? It keeps nagging me to turn it on too.I have the latest Nvidia driver from the Windows update site [or Dell or whatever it is]. No, I did not download the latest Studio driver from Nvidia’s website via their dedicated app because it seem
Identifying people in a large collection can become kind of a mess, because then I might have lots of people identified and struggle to find the right people. I wish there would be the chance to create folders to group specific people, such as Family, Friends, Work colleagues, BTT Group, etc.
Hi there,I would like to clean up some storage space on my Mac and I noticed that most of my Document storage is taken by Lightroom files. Could you please advise me/explain me which of these is safe to delete? There are many backup Catalog zip files, can I get rid of them all apart from the most recent one? What about the other type of files? Many thanks,Lucia
Have a problem with automatical adjustment of my photos in LR mobile. When I choose a particular photo that I took in RAW48mp for futher editing, LR automatically changing its saturation. Do you have any thoughts how to disable this "improvement"? I am using Iphone 17 Pro Max.
LRC 15.2.1 ARM64. In the removal section for dust spot removal there is no button present to apply the found dust spots.
I use the + and - keys to adjust my sliders when going through photos quickly for minor changes, in particular, for exposure. I find that sometimes (maybe 1 in 10 images), I can see the keypad change occur, but then just as quickly bouce back as if I had never made the change. This happens while still on the image, not when moving to the next. Is this a bug? If not, what can I do to stop this happening?
Hi everyone!I hope I didn’t miss any already existing bug / issue posts for this issue. Here’s the short version again:After upgrading to Lightroom Classic 15.2, I experience an increase in repeatable and reproducable freezes with following crashes. These occur always when zooming into an image and are instantanous. The resulting CrashLog from the error report tool is attatched as well as the Lightroom System Info sheet. Cannot figure out why the photo text will not populate with the metadata. I feel like I have googled and tried everything. Photos have custom metadata (even default items like exposure, file name, capture time, are not populating). I have checked the settings under Book Preferences and have tried the 'update Metadata based captions". I have closed and updated and re-opened. Please help!

This help page uses “Photo > Set Copy As Master”, though it’s actually called “Photo > Set Copy As Original” in the app:https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/photos.html (The command’s name changed somewhere between LR 6.14 and today.)

Save Metadata To File will unnecessarily write a huge .acr sidecar for a JPEG that’s been exported from LR and reimported. This affects users who regularly export with the Add To Catalog option. See here for a motivating use case:https://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/threads/exported-jpgs-with-an-acr-file.54565/ To reproduce on LR 15.2.1 / Mac OS 26.2: 1. Download and open the attached catalog, which contains a single raw, DSC08981.ARW, with Denoise applied. 2. Ensure the option Catalog Settings > Metadata > Include Develop Settings In Metadata is enabled (the default). 3. Select the raw and export it as a JPEG to the desktop, with Quality = 70 and the option Metadata > Include: All Metadata. 4. Import the exported JPEG with the Add Option. 5. Select the JPEG and do Metadata > Save Metadata To File. Observe that DSC08981.acr is created, about 10.3 MB (three times the size of the .jpg) (incorrect). 6. Delete DSC08981.acr from the desktop. 7. Edit DSC0891.jpg in Develop a
