  I often get multiple same keywords in the same photo, due to similarity or pictures on the wall, need to be able to Allow searching for multiple same keywords in same photos Thanks  

When photos are missing during publish & export, give the option to locate them, much more helpful than saying some are missing and would you like to use a low quality image / thumbnail or cancel... think this would help a lot

Allow the saving of metadata to files to not include parent keywords There is an inconsistency, when publishing or exporting, only the child keywords are written to the files, unless the radio tick box is selected in the parent keyword to export.....I don't want the metadata to file to insert the parent keywords, please provide an option to disable this thanks

I use the secondary display feature a lot, often in either Grid or Loupe mode. It's a great productivity tool. What I'd really like is to be able to view the panels associated with the mode of the secondary display. Let's say I'm in Map or Book mode on the primary display and I'm using the secondary display in Grid mode. I realise I need to fix the metadata. I have the Grid display on the secondary monitor but there are no panels. To fix the metadata I switch the primary display back to Grid and edit the metadata. What I want to do is just fix it in the metadata panel next to the Grid display on the Secondary window.

I'd like Adobe to add icons to easily rotate or flip an image in the Develop module. These icons exist in Camera Raw's crop tool. Can they be added to the LR crop tool? Or the rotate arrows could be made available in the Develop module toolbar.   Rotating an image, particularly an abstract, can be part of the "develop" workflow, not just to turn a picture right-side up when viewing thumbnails in the Library Grid view. Having a one-click option is more efficient than using the Photo menu choices or keyboard shortcuts.  

Presently one can filter images by:   "Rating is greater than or equal to" "Rating is less than or equal to" "Rating is equal to"   I am asking that a fourth one be added - "Rating is not equal to"   I cull my images hard and mostly keep images that hold potential as solid images for my website and possible printing.  But I will have photos that aren't great that I still want to keep for whatever reason (something unusual or funny for example) and do a quick "show" to the family.  I make those two star.  At this point, no other images have stars.  When I am about to start processing the images with potential, I don't want to see the two star images.  At present there is no way to filter them out.  A "Rating is not equal to" would fit this need perfectly.   I could see where people might also use this for one star images early in the culling process or for four or five star images near the end of the selection process, depending on how t

I saved the metadata to a rather large number of files, only to find nothing had been written, was all the face tagging I had done. I eventually discovered that it was my USB port, which wasn't making a good enough connection to allow the MD to be written. Something to consider, now it's ok as I am using an internal HDD.....think Lightroom should verify that metadata is written, with an error report generated......could make it optional but can't see why it's not included anyway, thanks

It would be very helpful to have the ability to NOT import keywords when importing images. For example, I was reworking my large LR catalogue with older images that I had keyworded before I really know how to do keywords and all the mistakes (all caps, no heirachy, etc) came into my LR keyword list and made my keyword list unusable. As mentioned in a previous post managing keywords in LR is an exercise in frustration and dealing with all these mistakes in a 100,000+ image Library is untenable.

Sure would be nice if LR Classic could automatically read metadata in XMP files created in ACR/Bridge like ACR/Bridge can read adjustment changes made in LR. It's a pain to have to force LR to read the XMP metadate for each individual file.

In lightroom, allow the option in export, to export to a destination but maintain the original folder hireachy. And allow overwriting to original file, with a warning that a full backup of these files must be made before exporting in this way, would save a lot of copying and pasting afterwards.....I assume changing metadata does not cause jpg quality loss thanks

The 'Select subject' feature is really great. But to reverse the selection you need to first use this feature and then choose for 'Duplicate and Invert Mask'. Sometimes, the subject is already fine, but everything around it needs some more editing. Would it be possible to add a feature where I could select just that in one click, instead of 2.  A feature called i.e. 'Select all but Subject'?

Hi, Adobe Most users I engage with are not enthused with the 'catalog' concept in the current lightroom platform.  In fact some are looking to move waway from Adobe to other platforms ( Read Captur , On1, etc) because of this feature. It's not an economical workflow to have files constrained by this feature and have to work through this when Camera Raw can do the same editing while managing data with Bridge. It seems an additional feature with little or no advantage, but an additional cost on subscription. It would be better to introduce a dedicated 'Tether' tool - direct into file structure and improve the capture speed (Which is the advantage Capture 1 touts as benefit) Cheers  

One of the first things I do when importing images into LR classic, is pull up the shadows and pull down the highlights all the way. Then I <shift-doubleclick> Whites and Blacks, which automatically sets them as per the exposure of the image being edited.   I'm trying to speed-up my workflow in Lightroom Classic by importing using presets.   The problem is I can't find a way to incorporate the <shift-doubleclick>.   Even when auto-syncing, or copying and pasting Develop Settings, LR uses the values of the first image used, to make the adjustments, and doesn't recalculate the values for each image. I want it to behave as though I'm auto setting the Whites and Blacks for each image, individually. Is this possible, and how?   I'd appreciate any guidance. Cheers!   Andy   Macbook Pro, 14"

I totally understand that this is a HUGE request.  It appears to me that: (all of these are simply emperically assumed and I could be totally wrong)   Lightroom Classic is mostly a very intellegent front end to Adobe Camera Raw's abilities Smart Objects within Photoshop and perhaps other Adobe apps are more or less ACR's abilities packaged into an object   I'd like to see Adobe Cine Raw which would essentially package Premiere Pro's Lumetri concepts along with the new "Canon Cinema Raw Light Source Settings" and there are probably other similar manufacturer specific panels that would be nice to include.  Adobe Cine Raw would be for color correction and possibly color grading -- but that's it.  Similar to ACR's original deployment before addings masks and other great features.  I think the Adobe Cine Raw concept could be leveraged everywhere like Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc much like ACR is leverage everywhere.   Then introduce Adobe Cine Raw to

We use artificial intelligence to recognize people, but what if we used it to simply rotate images to the correct orientation?  I have decades of images shot on cameras that didn't automatically orient the images and find myself manually rotating thousands of photos.  It would be very useful to have a tool that could analyze the image content and present a batch of selected images with a suggested change of orientation.  I would then be able to simply confirm the suggestions, either one at a time, or in large batches.

Lightroom should catalog psb files, just as it does psd files. I have many psb files that are not over the 65,000 pixels per side or 512 megapixel limits, but are larger than the 4GB limit on psd files, and it would be nice to see them in Lightroom.

On UltraWide screen (and on regular 16:9 if you mostly shot vertical frame) Its lots of horizontal free space and lack of vertical.  Please do option for toolbars can be two (and maybe three) columns for more toolbars can be aviable without scroling.    I also suggest that you think about optimizing the vertical space - now a lot of space is wasted on empty fields - somewhere at the edge there is a short text block (like windows title. top menu etc) and the rest of the screen this field just waste space.  Even on 16:9 you have much more horizontal space then vertical. On 21:9 its much more.   Fullscreen mode is better to save vertical space and it is good for laptops, but on a big screen monitor, especially 21:9, this mode can not shrink the window and gets a big empty space in the middle of the screen, especially if the picture being processed is vertically oriented. It takes a lot of widespread mouse movements (and it's especially annoying on a tablet) j

Incorporate astrophotographic file type 'decoders' into Photoshop and Lightroom.   With all the attention around JWST images it becomes glaringly obvious that Adobe has missed a trick here. Accessing and downloading the 'RAW' file data from Hubble and JWST is a labyrinthian feat in and of itself, so to find out that Adobe has no way of incorporating the file types into it's workflow is super frustrating.   Freely available software can do the conversion to TIFF format but there is, obviosly, a steep learning curve with new software. It would be fantastic if Adobe could create a develop module using familiar Photoshop and/or Lightroom sliders to facilitate the same task.

idea: it is a confusing user interface (since LR started to exist) and needs a lot of concentration to decide, how and when you have to lock/unlock, wether you keep proportions, or manually change the ratio.   Observation: One of my workflows (photo documentaries) is to use crop in fixed option (original ratio) most of the time. Some pictures in the postproduction need an unfixed ratio (panoramic, 1:1, etc.), which needs to unlock crop tool. But you have to be very concentrated and aware during workflow, WHEN to unlock, exactly, as all following steps depend on THIS decision and do need a lot of further concentration. A general change between un-/lock for all next steps/images is not possible, unless you select the un-/lock BEFORE first touch of the crop frame.    Every later changes of un-/lock just happen for the picture in process, but do a reset at the following image in the sequence.   Why not integrate a „forced“ manually change of lock/unlock at any step you

Why is there not either a tab or at least an entry under the HELP menu to the new discover capability? Having it there will act as a reminder that it exists and encourage its use. Seems like a really outstanding feature to have provided the user community!

is it possible to suggest the keywords from face detection ? and also once the face is tagged can it be writted to keywords , so each to search.

Unfortunately, halos often occur with very high-contrast images and edges. Often they are very disturbing and it would be nice to make them disappear by "magic". Manual editing with Photoshop takes quite a long time, depending on the motif.Since the ML or AI supported object recognition works relatively well, it should be possible to finally do something against these stupid halos. Therefore my suggestion: AI/ML based anti-halo slider that can be applied as a mask to the image.

I'm looking for help with importing location information from the maps module in Lighroom into the keywords suggestions - is there a way to do this automatically - for example a Picture taken in Rome Italy will automatically tagged (keyworded) with Europe/Italy/Rome  - The Location is already conveniently displayed in the Maps module - i assume that the cameras GPS feature has been switched on while shooting the Pictures.  Making other Metadata available like the camera used would be nice to have    Having the location automatically available as a keyword (suggestion) would save time and tedious work - up to now this  this step seems to be  needed  carried out  manually - for me it matters as would like to include the location for text based search for stock photography   best regards Stefan

Dear Adobe Community: I have used Adobe Lightroom since the very beginning. And over the years I have seen this program grow by leaps and bounds.  However the one improvement I would like for it to do is incorporate the use of QR codes to organize data into the catalog for volume photography. Schools, corporate head shots, large groups, etc. I truly think if Lightroom Classic had this ability it would take it to the very next level in terms of speed of organizing and naming of  files. I have seen work arounds for this task, but either a build-in or a True Adobe Plug-in that is sound with ease of use would be major. Just the fact printing a QR code of a data list or spread sheet with info already stored, and giving them to people to display in front of them upon taking a photo would be massive game changing and truly would take Lightroom and Lightroom Classic to MARS in terms of organizing photos.
