Lightroom Classic

In the German UI, the menu item to access plugin functions used to be "Zusatzmoduloptionen". In LrC 14.5 it's "Plug-in Extras" (the English name). Intended change or translation error?   While I don't care about the actual name, it breaks my autohotkey keyboard shortcuts for LrC.

Pasting a long list of file names into the Text filter "Any Searchable Field contains" causes LR to stall for many minutes, not responding to many commands.   The only way to recover is to let LR run for up to 10 minutes or more (or recover from backup). Restarting LR or deleting preferences doesn't help.   Pasting the list into the filter "Filename contains" works as expected.   To reproduce with LR 14.3.1 / Mac OS 15.3.2:   1. Removing the person keyword associated with the name assigned to a face rectangle fails to remove that name from the rectangle, and when the photo is exported, that keyword still gets exported even though it's been removed from the photo.   The bug is not present in LR 6.14 (Win 11) or 10.4, 11.0, 12.0 and 12.1 (Mac 15.7.1).  The bug is present in 12.2, 12.3, 13.0, 15.0 (Mac 15.7.1) and 15.0 (Win 11 Intel).   A clumsy workaround for removing the person keyword and name from one or more photos at once, without corrupting the catalog: Place the selected photos in the Quick Collection. Select the Quick Collection. Go to People view. Right-click the face thumbnail for that name and do Move To Unnamed People.   To reproduce:   1. Select a photo and go to Library Loupe view.   2. Using the Draw Face Region tool, draw a face rectangle over any part of the photo.   3. Type "Jane" in the face rectangle's name box and hit enter.   4. In the Keywording

When the Camera Raw default for a camera sets the profile to Camera Neutral or Camera Landscape, toggling B&W on and then off leaves WB changed to Custom with Temp = 5001 and Tint = 10, regardless of the photo or camera. This doesn't occur when the Camera Raw default is set to Adobe Default.   1. Custom video export presets installed by LrExportSettings.addVideoExportPresets() don't appear in the Export window when LR's language is set to any language except English.     This bug prevents users of my Any Video Preset plugin from using it in any language except English.   To reproduce on LR 14.2 / Mac OS 15.3.2:   1. Brush strokes made with the Remove tool appear in the wrong place on a portrait image, rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise. This occurs in LR 13.4 / Windows 11, but it doesn't occur on Mac OS 14.5.   To reproduce:   1. The smart-collection/filter criterion Has Raw Details doesn't match proprietary raw photos with Denoise or Super Resolution applied in LR 14.4, even though the Develop > Detail panel shows Raw Details checked, and even though Has Raw Details matches Denoise and Super Resolution DNGs created by LR 14.3.   To reproduce on LR 14.4 / Mac OS 15.5:   1. The command Metadata > Revert Capture Time To Original truncates the fractional seconds of the original capture time. This affects people who shot bursts that were synced to LR Cloud by LR 14.1.   To reproduce on LR 14.1.1 / Mac OS 14.6. 1:   1. Import the attached JPEG. When copying Lens Blur settings from a master photo to a virtual copy, or vice versa, the Focus On Subject setting is ignored.    To reproduce on LR 14.5 / Mac OS 15.5:   1. I use the lightroom book module to make some pretty long albums (Like hundreds of pictures).  Earlier this week I installed the update, and now I can't filter the pictures in a saved book to only show unused photos.  This is critical when I'm using hundreds of pictures.  How do I fix it?

Lightroom Classic WIndows 11 14.0.1 Camera Raw 17.0Checking image at 100 percent using shift-PgDn there is a noticeable delay each time I move to the next section with no tools selected in Develop. But if I select Masking, Redeye or Remove, the move on shift-PgDn is instantaneous.I was one of the original beta-testers for Lightroom while it was being developed.

When Command-E to send an image to Photoshop, (DNG from iPhone), the image is much lighter. I've been using Photoshop since verion 3 and Lightroom since version 1 and have never come across this. In order to make it work, I have to Export as PSD, only then does Photoshop match what I see in Lightroom. Any thoughts? Mac Studio 2025, M4 Max 128 GB,  15.6, latest versions of LR and PS.    

Ich fotografiere seit vielen Jahren mit der Nikon Z6 und seit Anfang 2025 mit der Nikon Z6 III und u. a. mit 5 Zeiss Objektiven ZF.2.Mit der Z6 III werden 3 dieser Zeiss Objektive in Lightroom unter Objektivdaten mit 5mm f1 angezeigt, obwohl die richtigen Daten 35 mm f2,0 und 50 mm f 2,0 und 100 mm f2,0 sind. Mit der Z6 werden die vorgenannten 3 Zeiss Objektive dagegen korrenkt angezeigt!Die Firmware beider Kameras ist auf dem aktuellen Stand.   In den RAW-Aufnahmen mit beiden Kameras werden im Exif-Viewer die korrekten Objektivdaten angezeigt!   Folglich müssen in Lightroom Fehler in der Kombination "Profildaten" Kamera Nikon Z8 II und den "Profildaten" der genannten 3 Zeiss Objektive sein.   Wegen des Fehlers kann ich bei den Aufnahmen mit der Z6 III nicht erkennen, welche Aufnahme mit welchem der 3 verschiedenen Zeiss-Objektiven entstanden sind.   Ich hoffe, dass die Adobe Lightroom Systembetreuer das Problem lösen können.    

Help required: I get Lr crashes when I move an image to the print module in LR classic.  2022 m1 max iMac studio with 32gb of ram. I noted that memory pressure was only at 40% at last occurrence. I notice that LR eats all memory when you start importing images. When opened, it takes about 1.5-3GB ram. Then import 100 images, and RAM shoots up to +17GB   Iv been doing some tests with smaller raw files, same thing, always goes up to 17GB ram usage. The folder i imported as test contains only 5GB of raws, and LR uses more then twice that amount to import those images? When you delete the images, 17GB ram is still in use. Then tested less images, like 30, and memory still goes up, but less, around 5GB ram extra, for images that on disk only take around 1GB. Importing more images, like +300 will not make memory to increase more then 17GB.   Solution? Import images, restart LR to clear memory, edit... and ram usage will stay "normal" around 6GB during edit after some testing. Thats 10GB less then just doing an import. Lightroom 14.3.1/Camera Raw 17.3.1 Windows 11 Version 24H2   For all non-adaptive profiles the histogram in the develop module's Histogram widget and the histogram displayed behind the Tone Curve widget match in shape and the tone curve works correctly (c.f. first screenshot).   As soon as an adaptive profile is applied the tone curve seems to be compressed to the first 3 quadrants and reacts overly sensitive. (c.f. second screenshot) Also when adjusting the tone curve picking the brightness values directly from the image even whites/blown out hightlights are not mapped to 250+ values but rather to 180+ (c.f. third screenshot).   Steps to reproduce: 1. Select a raw file (Canon .cr3 from a R6 II in my case) 2. Go to develop module 3. In the Basic widget switch to one of the adaptive profiles e.g. Adaptive Color 4. Go to the Tone Curve widget and check the histogram; the histogram only use the 3 leftmost quadrants 5. Now switch to a non-adaptive profile e.g. Adobe Color 6.

Hello,  still not working in LRC 14.0.1.  , I have old yellow badges but not new ones on last sync. collection. Any idea ?

The Edit Capture Time command doesn't preserve fractional seconds when shifting the time of multiple photos. For example, if you select a batch of photos taken with "continuous shooting", e.g. at a sporting event, and then use Edit Capture Time to shift their time by 60 minutes, the fractional seconds of each photo will be dropped and the photos will no longer be correctly ordered by capture time. To reproduce, take several photos that were all shot within the same second with the continuous-shooting option of the camera. LR will correctly transfer the capture time into their .xmp sidecars: [XMP] Date/Time Original : 2011:05:13 18:32:44.51 [XMP] Date/Time Original : 2011:05:13 18:32:44.52 [XMP] Date/Time Original : 2011:05:13 18:32:44.53 Then select those photos and invoke Edit Capture Time. Have updated to LR Classic CC 7.3  Develop module when using the crop tool it shows the last image cropped for about 1 second before showing the current selected image.

I think I found a bug in LrC when soft proofing. Typically when you edit a picture and then hit the compare button, you are shown on the left the original picture and on the right the edited picture, like on the top part of the following screenshot.But if you do soft proofing this comparison is broken, as you can see in the bottom part of the following screenshot, where I am being presented left and right with the same edited photo. I am working under the Edit menu to change the identity plate setup.  I have selected personalized and custom plate, and Show Status and Activity is selected.  I have typed the custom text I want to display and selected the typeface and font size.The issue starts when I select the complementary typeface for the module picker buttons and font size.  The font size starts off as if it's a multiple of the selected size, not the selected font size.  Regardless of typeface, it behaves similarly.It gets better.  Regardless of the size selected in the button picker, each time a different typeface is selected, the size gets bigger by what looks like the same multiple.  The size returns to the original (wrong) font size when the size is manually selected.Here's my machine:Refurbished and nearly new (two months old to me): Dell XPS 13.3" QHD+ TOUCH Laptop 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7560U at 2.4GHz with Turbo Boost to 3.8GHz, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD using the Intel HD gra

Since the last update opening photo in Photoshop by right clicking in Lightroom doesn't work anymore.   Working on a Mac Mini latest ver. of OSX

I installed the new version 14.4 today. Whenever I attempt to use the new denoise slider, I get this error "attempt to index a nil value".  And then, when I try to use the old-fashioned denoise, I get "image not loaded". I am working on a MacBook Pro with an M2 chip and I already reset Lightroom preferences. Anyone else having this issue?    

Started on a Mac all was fine.  Moved to my Windows laptop.  My pics are on a NAS.  Did a find missing folder and it found the folder find on the PC.  I have upgraded my Mac so I want to move back.  No issues moving over the catalogs and starting the app.  The NAS folder was available and mounted under the Network prior to starting Lightroom Classic.  Had no problems navigating with the folders prior to starting.  Of course LR classic no longer knew where the mounted folder was so I when in did find missing folder.  I was able to navigate to the folder on the mac.  However when I selected the folder on the Mac, I am getting "An internal error has occurred.  invalid path" error.  Even thought I had no issues navigating to the folder...  So, now I have thousand of photos I cannot get to inside LR Classic, but no problems getting to under the Mac...  version is 14.1.1.
