Lightroom Classic

Hallo,ich benutze die aktuelle Version zum Bearbeiten, 50% Bildschirmhelligkeit mit einem iMac. Als Farbprofil verwende ich das voreingestellt "iMac". Problem ist, dass die Helligkeit der Bilder nach dem Export aus Lightroom (und nach dem imDruck) so wirkt, als wenn ich sie auf der niedrigsten Helligkeitseinstellung des Bildschirms bearbeitet hätte. (Export: JPEG, Volle Größe, Qualität 100%, Alle Metadaten, Farbraum: sRGB) Also alles ist extrem dunkel. Mache ich hier einen komplett offensichtlichen Fehler den ich übersehe (bin relativ neu mit Lightroom)? Ich würde ungern alle Bilder noch einmal bei niedrigster Bildschirmhelligkeit nachbearbeiten... . -.- Danke für die Hilfe!

Hey! I just came back after a week on vacation and opened Lightroom Classic to this message: As I couldnt press anything else, i pressed update. I am sure I already had the latest Version Of LRc (14.4) weeks before leaving right when it came out and everything was working perfectly. Now my Catalog is empty and when I try to open the previously saved version, also. My last backup was a few months ago, but the one shown here should be my previous catalog which is now saved in "Old Catalogs" but as I said, when I open it it is empty. Please help.Warm regardsRafi

I am unable to locate my catalog named Ircat-data folder on my MacBook Pro as I've looked several places and I'm not finding it.  I do not see a pictures folder. I've never had an issue before opening it and the last few times I've used lightroom.  It would not backup my files. 

I have done a bad thing I know. I acted in haste and should have known better. Hopefully someobody can help me resolve the situation. I have been using LrC on a WIndows machine for many years and have moved to a Mac. I copied my Pictures folder over from the Windows PC to an external drive on my Mac. I have a 'Lightroom Catalog' folder where the Catalog file lives, and a 'Lightroom' folder with subfolders for each year and my images. These were literally copied to my Mac external drive. I can open the Catalog file and view my images and work normally, so all was well I thought. Yesterday though I realised that the few images I have imported since moving to my Mac are not appearing in my Catalog 'tree'. This because they are being stored in the Pictures/2025 folder on my Mac internal storage. My Catalog seems to be accessing old files from my external drive as I would expect/hope and saving new files to my internal storage, but possibly not in my Catalog.I have never been very

LR Classic has become monstrously slow

Lightroom asked me to update today and now I cannot see photos after 2023 and all my albums have disappeared. Everything was backed up locally and to the cloud and yet the majority of my work is gone. I tried to open the Lightroom Library file which did nothing and I am left missing many photos from shoots and trips that were professional and personal. Is this an issue with the new version of Classic? Why must Adobe insist on messing around with the application. If you are making fundamental changes, be sure to inform your PAYING customers. I am at my last nerve with Adobe and the constant messing around. Can anyone help me retrieve my photos or is there a way I can go back to the older version.

Hi everybody. 🙂 I have a question:Is there any way to install Adobe Lightroom Classic on the desktop without having to install and use the (annoying for me) Creaive Cloud? I have a Creative Cloud subscription and can therefore use Lightroom, but I want to use Lightroom directly without secondary software running in the background.I have already tried to find a download link for a Windows 10 app - unfortunately without success so far. Also the attempt to install LR Classic via the Creative Cloud App and to uninstall the Cloud App afterwards unfortunately failed.Are there any ideas how I can realise a relaxed and pure working on my photos without all the other fuss around it? It is possible with Adobe Acrobat Reader, so I still have hope that I can do it with my photos, too. Thanks for your help!

When I quit Lightroom Classic, most of the time the backup gets to about 20% on the progress bar, then goes no further.  I have to force quit Lightroom Classic, even after many hours of the backup running.Every so often, on a different day,  the backup will complete after 2.5 hours.  There have been times when I've quit Lightroom Classic, deferred doing the backup, and then compressed the catalog using the Mac Finder. There are no unusual delays when using Lightroom ClassicI have the same library and catalog on a different computer in a different city.  The backup there takes 15-20 minutes What could be causing the delay?Thanks. My specs:Sequoia 15.5 Lightroom Classic 14.4 release I have one large catalog Lightroom data is stored on a OWC RAID 5, model ThunderBay 8, connected with Thunderbolt/USB4 The RAID's controlling and driver software isSoftraid 8.5  The RAID has a feature called Safeguard enabled: 

Hello everyone. I've been using LR for a long time, previously on an intel based Windows 10 laptop. It was a bit slow, but usable. Now I am using m1 macbookair, both MacOS and LR are up to date and the issue persists. Since couple versions ago - LR is not usable for me. My collection is huge, has photos on several external hard drives, but i mostly use one, with most current shots. Since 3-6 months my LR is UNUSABLE. I push the B key to add image to target collection - nothing happens. I push it again - nothing happens. After couple minutes - some photos appear in the target collection, others don't, because i pushed the button more than once. It's very annoying. Sync activity goes back to some photos on random external hdd (not currently connected) form way back - i haven't done anything with those photos but there are sync errors for some reason, because why not? Also - i create a collection - and it doesn't appear immediately.I create another one - after 20 minutes LR wakes up, that

I have approximately 16,000 photos in Apple Photos, all organized into albums and want to migrate the entire thing into Lightroom Classic, including the albums. Each photo has a title that matches the associated album name. I see posts about migrating to Lightroom but cannot find any any posts about migrating to Lightroom Classic.Was thinking of importing album by album (which I would turn into collections). Each album is associated with a year so would create folders for each year. Any ideas?Thank you for any feedback. I am realtively new to LRC.

Lightroom Classic Mac OS, 14.0.1 release, Mac OS Sequoia 15.0.1, Macbook Pro M2Max With cloud sync enabled and working ( there are images in sync queue)  it is impossible to appy Adaptive Portrait presets, its starts lagging,  glitching, masks won't appear in the masks list, the small dialog window which should appear with Portrait Preset progress is not appearing, then it can pop up a minute later, and stop responding. As a result user can't continue to work with the app, one has to force quit. I will try to attach a video of screen recording with this bug.  This is one instance of the same old bug filed by me long time ago (in July, after the first release of Lightroom Classic with revamped sync engine).  I tried reporting it muliple times but each and every time my topic was actively mismanaged by moderators:  it was relegated to discussions, then the title was edited by moderators to make it totally irrelevant to the core issue, then locked, then merged wit

I've been using my D700 to shoot tethered to Lightroom Classic and noticed a caveat on the list of available suppported cameras.  The pages notes inconsistency with burst shooting for specific models and the D700 are a part of that group.  I'm wondering how much longer I can expect my D700 to be supported within Lightroom for tethered shooting.  

Whatever the new update did to LrC rendered it unusable. It worked (as well as it ever does) 2 days ago, and now I can't edit photos because it hangs and hangs and hangs... Wasted time with 2 chat sessions, tried a couple of Preferences changes (which didn't work). They claimed that the update was "thoroughly tested"--obviously not. When they started suggesting that I try restarting my computer, I felt like I was in the bad old Windows days and just about went through the roof. This has only reinforced my hate for Adobe.  Anyone have the same issue? Any suggestions? Per guidelines:1. 14.4 Release, Build [202506051112-5918896a]2. Mac mini, 15.5 (24F74)3. Basic step to reproduce the problem: Open LrC4. Expected result: able to edit photograph; actual result: application hangs and hangs and hangs and hangs... Idea: 2. I have an issue with denose. When I try to perform denoise, the Lightroom Classic shows estimated time is 1 second, but actually it usually takes over 100 seconds. Could anyone let me know if this is due to my my laptop spec(I bought the PC just 6 months ago...) or if this is something that can improve? When creating a longer slideshow in Lightroom Classic, I encounter the following problem:I add my selected music, which is a mix about 30 minutes long.However, after what seems like a random amount of time,the music gets interrupted and jumps back to the beginning of the mix.

Since 14.4 all LrC functions have been very slow . In using a simple brush the display of the intended change lags significantly. Generative Removal tool generated error message and I receive frequent error messages that product is still trying to write changes to metadata in XMP. Collectively it is making it very difficult to get any work done. It is not a resource problem with my machine: Apple Studio M2 Max with 64GB memory and running OS15.5. These reported problems did not exist before release of LrC 14.4. Any known remedies?  

Is there any function assigned to the flag and the star icons in the touch workspace ... or are they just informative icons? Thanks

However, I’m not sure how to retrieve the "edited" status (or flag?) through the SDK.As a temporary workaround, I’ve been using the editCount value obtained via getRawMetadata. But this includes images that have only had metadata changes, such as rating or comments, which I would like to exclude.Is there any way to access the same "Edited" status as seen in Smart Collections or the Library Filter via the SDK? Or alternatively, is there a way to replicate that functionality programmatically?I’d appreciate any ideas or guidance. Thank you!

Je suis photographe pro et j'ai plusieurs projets nécessitant des catégories et sous catégories via Lightroom Classic que j'utilise depuis plusieurs années. Je fonctionne en créant par domaine ou projet des 'ensemble de collections' et sous 'collection'.Exemple : Je réalise donc plusieurs imports à la fois via la bibliothèque des différents dossiers sources en cochant à chaque fois “Ajouter à la collection” et en m’assurant bien que la collection cible est sélectionnée pour classer mes photos qui ont parfois le même nom (par exemple lorsque je donne des ateliers avec 10 nikon différents et où je derush par participant comme ci-dessus). Régulièrement (je dirais une fois sur trois ou quatre) les photos n’apparaissent pas dans la collection cible et sont seulement ajoutées au catalogue général. Je souhaite donc réimporter mes photos depuis la bibliothèque mais elles sont alors grisées car déjà dans le catalogue mais non classées dan

When I connect my iPhone to my computer, Lightroom Classic wants to import -- as if they were "New Photos" -- several types of pics that are not new.1. All the pics on my iPhone appear checked as if they were New Photos, even if they're already imported.2. Photos I already deleted on my iPhone appear as New Photos.3. Photos I edited on my iPhone appear duplicated -- in both edited and unedited form.4. Pics I've recently looked at on my iPhone appear checked as New Photos, even though they were uploaded long ago. This makes it very time consuming to import the right photos, leads to a lot of dupes, and results in me accidentally importing stuff I dont want to keep in LRC.  Is there a fix for this? Is there a setting I don't know about? Please help!

It's been a while since I used the Camera Matching Profiles in LR CLassic, so I was surprised to find that those now listed do not even closely match those in my camera. They used to, but now they seem to be generic. Does anyone have any idea why? I'm using a Mac with Sequoia 15.5, LrC 14.4, and an OM-1 OM Systems camera. Thanks!

Hi, I try to open LightRoom Classic but after three seconds the spinning color wheel turns up and won't leave. I have restarted computer, tried to use a different catalog, but can't seem to get through. What do I do now???
