Lightroom Classic v15.6 brings a smoother editing experience with improved Reflection Removal, making it easier to clean up reflections in windows, glass, and water. This release also introduces faster masking controls with Check All and Check None options, along with support for new cameras, lenses, and important bug fixes. What’s NewThe September 2026 release of Lightroom Classic v15.6 brings meaningful improvements designed to make photo editing faster and more precise. The standout enhancement is Reflection Removal, which now delivers cleaner results when removing reflections from windows, glass surfaces, and even water. The updated technology reduces smudges and ghosting artifacts, helping photographers recover details more naturally in challenging scenes. This release also streamlines masking workflows with new Check All and Check None options in the Masking panel. When creating landscape or people masks, you can now instantly select or clear all available mask options with a sing
When presented with a New Post screen in the Adobe Community, you are given three options for Conversation Type: Discussion, Bug, and Idea. If you were searching in Discussions, the New Post window will default to Discussions. If you are searching in Bugs, the New Post window will default to Bugs and likewise for Ideas. Many customers instinctually report problems they are experiencing as “Bugs”. It is natural to think that a problem you are having might be a bug. A bug is defined, for our purposes, as “something in the software that is not functioning as it was designed to function”. Interpreting whether a behavior is a bug or not is not always easy, however. Here are some reasons why you might want to consider posting first to Discussions rather than jumping straight to reporting in Bugs: Most items reported as Bugs are not actual bugs. In a typical group of reported bugs, only about 3 out of 25* bugs reported turn out to be actual bugs. Of those, typically 2 ou
Bugs should only be reported for the latest or current version of Lightroom Classic. If you believe you have a bug, it must be verified on the latest version of Classic. New bug reports will not be accepted for older versions of the software. If you believe you have encountered a bug, it is important to first search the existing bugs to see if your issue and a possible solution or workaround have already been reported. If so, please add to that thread. If not, it may be prudent to start a new thread.Greater than 90% of the bugs reported are not actually bugs. Before starting a new thread, please read:P: Do I post in Discussions or Bugs? When logging a new bug report, it's required by the Lightroom Classic team for the information in the report to include steps to reproduce the bug experience. Once we can reproduce an issue, then we can start to investigate a fix. Bug reports without reproduction steps will be moved to discussions. If, after some troubleshooti
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the featu
I experience sync issues in Lightroom Classic for some photos when I add them to a Collection that is synched to the cloud. Only photos that contain Generative AI remove operations are affected. The photos were edited before attempting to add them to a synched collection.I am running Lightroom Classic 15.5.1 on an M4 Pro Mac mini that runs MacOS 26.7.I have found a partial workaround, but it is slow and time consuming. The affected photos appear in the Sync Errors group in the Catalog area at the top of the LH panel. For each of the affected photos, I have to regenerate all of the Removal objects to completely regenerate the data; I have to select each removal object individually to regenerate because there is no bulk operation for a photo. On some photos this may additionally have consequences for masks and I often have to also refresh the masks.Regenerating the AI removal objects does not by itself immediately fix the sync - Lightroom remains stuck. For the sync to complete, I need t
Installed this and my tethered camera setup no longer works. It appears to work as before, but no images are transferred. Canon R1, Windows 11. Anyone else having tethering issues?
When I try to start lightroom classic I get the error message ?:0: attempt to index field'_nglController' I cannot get it to start in any other way. Greg Hoglund
I want to purchase Lightroom Classic for personal use. It says 2 devices limit. Is that I can only download it on 2 devices or I can just have 2 logged in at the same time? Can we put the program on my daughter's school laptop, her desktop and my computer?
Ok, so this is a small issue but it annoys me; Using the remove tool, I remove something and press “Enter” on my keyboard. The tool deselects and I can move on to the next photo in the queue. When I remove something with the Generative AI Removal tool, I remove something and press “Enter” on my keyboard...but nothing happens UNTIL I click the cursor in the empty border area surrounding a photo. Then, and only then, the removal tool becomes deselected after pressing “Enter”. This is especially aggravating when working on horizontally oriented photos where empty border area is extremely limited in size. I hope that was clear. Let me know if not, and I’ll do my best to explain more thoroughly.
Culling thousands of images is very time consuming in wildlife photography. I am requesting three tools to easier determine sharpness. 1) this one is obvious, show the focus point in Adobe Lightroom. Often I want to prioritize a small section of the image such as a bird’s eye or face, if the focus point is not there, it is easy to reject. 2) Lightroom could easily train an AI model to check edge complexity within a specified area and tell me which is the sharpest between two or more images. Ideally, I could specify a different area for each image, but I could just crop them if need be. 3) I could follow up with an adjustable edge detection tool for two images, side by side, so I can see which has the strongest edges. As an aside, I have vitrious separation causing annoying floaters, making it very difficult for me to compere details in two images, but I can assure you that every wildlife photographer would love this. It would also be applicable to almost any genre of photography if I
In the Export dialog, provide the option to add a border. Nothing fancy - any colour so long as it's black - and give control over its width in pixels. And of course, make sure too that it is added after any sharpening. People simply shouldn't need to rely on plug-ins for this, not after 3 versions of the program. John
Please can we have an option to add a stroke border in the Lightroom Classic develop panel . It is time consuming to have to either go to print module or move the image to Photoshop to add it .
I have catalog A with keywords and associated keyword tag options (ex. Export Containing Keywords) and export them as a .csv file using Metadata>Export keywords>Include keyword tag options and then import that same file into catalog B with no keywords currently defined using Metadata>Import, will the keywords and associated keyword tag options get imported correctly to match catalog B?If catalog B has some keywords that don’t match any of the keywords from catalog A - same answer? If catalog B has some keywords that do match any any of the keywords from catalog A - I belive the keyword tag options will not get updated, correct? Thanks. P.S. I may now regret having multiple catalogs if I have to update each keyword tag option in each one moving forward. 😁
Lightroom was working perfectly this morning.. I come to load in new images and edit some while sitting here.. and as soon as Lightroom opened up - I tried to slide exposure (and other ones to test those...) and the slider immediately jumps one way or another. I have reset preferences, turned off GPU.. NOTHING is helping.. please help me!
I just updated to Lightroom Classic 15.6 Release: September 2026I now have an issue on the Develop and Print Tabs where whenever I select a slider on the right hand side of the screen (i.e. in “Develop” - “Exposure”, “Contrast”, etc.) the slider automatically moves to the lowest value, and when trying to drag the slider, the mouse location is not on the eyedrop of the slider, rather is a distance to the right away from it.I have tried disabling the GPU in preferences and have also restarted my machine with no change in the issue. Has anyone experienced this issue and have they found a fix? System:Mac Studio 2025 M4 Processor 128 GB Tahoe 26.3 8 TB Hard drive. Thanks in advance.
I know that you can select different aspects by keyboard arrow so it seems odd not to be able to open the drop down
My lightroom classic is suddenly EXCRUCIATINGLY slow. Everything is running slowly, but especially when trying to copy and paste settings (even if there are no AI adjustments being copied). I have been waiting 15 minutes on my current image and it's not even a quarter of the way done processing. It was working fine last week. Then one day I logged in and this started happening. I have not uploaded any images or anything in the meantime, so I know it's not a system problem ( I have a fairly good setup). This is causing me huge delays in my workflow and I've had to contact clients to extend their wait time for their galleries.
Is it possible to add comments to an album or collection as a whole, rather than just to individual photos? The "Comments" area says "Comments not supported here." I'm deciding whether to switch from iPhoto to LR 6. An important part of my photo organization schema is the comments I add to albums; for example, the weather at the time the photos were taken, or whether my identification of a species has been approved. I'm not sure if this is a dealbreaker or not, but it's pretty darn close if I can't figure out a work-around.
Please add the “manual” remove setting to the camera presets you can save for specific cameras. like the sample below. No, in-camera pixel mapping does not fix this issue. I have a couple of cameras with several of these black spots due to a sensor defect that I could just fix by using the remove tool (without generative AI) when importing. For some reason it is the only feature you have not added from the copy/parte settings to the camera presets settings. Just adding this feature would cut my workflow considerably since I would not have to hunt for those spots anymore.Thanks!D.
When you exit, it just sits in the background then begins to consume ram. Hard exiting from Task Manager seems to work, but upon restarting it shows it’s a process but never appears as an app in the foreground or background.
I have a Classic catalog of 43,000+ photos (version 15.6 on Windows 11) that has been syncing with Lightroom online however something has gone astray recently and I get Sync Error showing maybe after a handful of photos have loaded. I think it’s overloaded and clogged and ticking Sync Keywords a few days ago probably did not help.Sync Activity always shows the same approx 70 photos, all marked “Uploading”. Online there is no folder for Sync errors (or similar). I have unticked sync on all my collections and selected Rebuild Sync Data. I am told to that it’s recommended to Generate Diagnostics Report and contact customer care.Trying here to load that diagnostics report I get “Sorry, we couldn’t upload your file because it's too big. Maximum file size: 50 MB”. It’s 321MB…Advice on how to proceed appreciated! Thanks, Scott
Hello,I'm attaching the warning I get and let's see if anyone can think of what may be happening. I use Lightroom to save, classify and edit my photos. It's been a week since I saw for the first time the screenshot that I put in which it says: Lightroom has encountered problems when reading this photograph. You will not be able to make adjustments to the photograph. When marking them one by one to see what they had in common I have found that it happens to me only with t The photos taken with the M11-POnly the DNG and when I shoot RAW + JPG the notice never comes out in the JPG and if in the RAW.They are also photos that have been edited.I have seen that an unedited photo when editing it even if it was just cutting, then I got that warning But it doesn't happen to me with all of them... it only happens with some imports. That is to say, photos that I have taken on a trip and that have been imported all together they come out. I have checked the lenses and it comes out with all the ones
Hola. Tengo Lightroom Classic de pago activo, pero desde hace unos días se cierra al iniciarse y muestra el error 224. Uso Windows y he restablecido las preferencias, pero el problema continúa. Necesito ayuda.
Currently, selecting Custom Name in the Rename Photo dialog does not display the filename of the selected photo.Instead, Lightroom Classic reuses the last custom name entered, even when a different photo is selected. This behavior is confusing for users performing single-photo renaming because the command behaves more like a persistent naming preset than a traditional rename operation. For single-file renaming, the expected behavior would be to display the current filename of the selected photo in an editable text field, allowing quick modifications without retyping the entire name.Instead, when selecting Custom Name, Lightroom initially presents an empty field rather than the current filename. What makes this behavior particularly confusing is that Lightroom remembers and automatically reuses the last value entered in the Custom Name field, even when a completely different file is selected. For example, after renaming:IMG_20260920_123456.CR3to:IMG_20260920_123456.CR3_modselecting another
