Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

I've been using Lightroom CC on my Ipad for 3 years now. I love editing this way but my 1TB storage is almost full. As I just bought a new Macbook Max 3 I would like to use Classic again and it might be a solution for the storage problem. I've downloaded the Lightroom CC library and I'm now importing it to Classic. But I'm a bit confused now.  The storage is almost full. If I sync a few folders from the last couple of years that I don't use that much on my Ipad, will Classic download those folders or do they disappear when I delete them in CC? I'm a travel photographer so I'd love to only bring my Ipad on my trips and the abbilaty  to share them right away with airdrop is a big plus for me that Classic doesn't have. 

Hello, I am using Lightroom Cloud, not Classic, and trying to use the person detect feature for masking. The file has been loaded to the cloud. When Lightroom trys to detect a person in the photo I get the following error........ Your computer does not have enough graphics memory to support this feature. This makes no sense. I have a 2020 MacBook Pro 13 inch configured with the dual core i5 processor and the Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB. I have 150GB of free hard drive space. I'm running Lightroom 7.1.2 downloaded from the Mac App Store , build 20231210-1901-9bac95f. MacOS is Sonoma 14.2.1  No other apps open. I do have a 4TB external drive attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Lightroom stars dont transfer from sellphone app to lightroom classic. Why? What can i do? 

I use latest LR on an M1 Mac with latest macOS and noticed the following:- I have LR set up to keep a copy of all smart previews an all originals- if I edit photos or add new photos the date of last change and the size of the .lrlibrary-file stay the same- looking inside the package shows the correct date and also the size of folder in which the originals are kept has changed Is this by purpose or a bug?   

I have a Mac Pro mid 2014. The latest OS was Big Sur 11.7.10 after which I'm unable to update to the latest OS, since Apple no longer provides further updates for this machine. This has resulted in my being unable to update Lightroom CC and Photoshop to their latest versions. Other than buying a new computer, which I'd rather not do (only LR and P'shop are now issues) what can be done? I'm paying annually for my Adobe Creative Cloud, but now can't continue to get updates! Any suggestions, please? Thanks

The Creative Cloud app on my Mac tells me that my version of Lightroom is up to date.  However, when I'm in the Lightroom app it says that it can't support edits to DNG photos that have either been uploaded from mobile or updated on the web platform.  For these photos the app says "This photo was edited in a newer version of Lightroom.  Editting it further without updating Lightroom will cause incompatible edits to be lost."  My Lightroom was purchased on the app store and is part of a payment plan where I pay every month.  How can I get Lightroom to update if Creative Cloud and the ap store say its up to date? (This system info says the Lightroom version is 5.5 and I really don't think that is the most recent).

Hi there! I have several Lightroom CC albums in my Library that I want to share with one or more people using the Enterprise version of "Lightroom with Classic" (so I'm assuming this is Classic?). We want to be able to view, rate, change metadata, upload, download, and edit keywords on images. I know this is a use case suited for a large Digital Asset Management tool like PhotoShelter, but we've tried that and it's overkill, and frankly not as user-friendly as we need for contributors. I'm hoping this is a solution. Has anyone else worked with CC <---> Classic album sharing/editing? Any advice is appreciated!   Thanks,   Alan  

I've been having issues exporting images in jpeg, custom dimensions to 2700px 100% quality to my gallery. I'm using android. Please fix this. Also if I can get the select background tool as well please. It just spins and spins for hours. See attached for screen shot

I have been struggling to export my edited photos from Lightroom, both on Android and PC. The application just shows exporting for hours with no success. This is a huge waste of my time and money. Does anyone have any solution? Or should I purchase another reliable application?

Hi,I’m new to LightRoom, but have searched FAQs, and forums, and not directly found an answer to my (perhaps painfully newb) question.Use case: I have about 500 photos of my nieces mom. They want to pick out a subset of those photos, and the three of us to work together on the selection.My approach: I made a shared album with those 500 photos, and the nieces have started to “like” pictures.But, I don’t see how I can see their “likes” other than going through the 500 photos 1-by-1, checking to see if it has been liked.Can this be true? No “sort by liked”?Initially, I had hoped that the web ratings would reflect back on my photos in LightRoom CC, but that appears not to be connected, and possibly by design? Also, I see an icon in the web album indicating that a photo has been liked, but can’t tell from which niece the “like” is coming.Is there some much better work flow to address this shared selection use case?Thanks in advance for your help!Doug

I am currently using Lr 6. I just upgrade to Lightroom CC. During installation classic did not ask me to upgrade the  cataloq.How can I use my original Lr6 cataloq photos which is in my external HD . Do I have to transfer all photos to LrCC manualy

I use Lightroom mobile on my Mac computer with macOS Sonoma. When you open HEIC format photos taken by Apple in Lightroom Mobile, the image is distorted.

I have LR desktop Classic and I sync to my Android tablet (LR mobile app). I am no longer able to upload a picture directly from my tablet to Flickr. Until recently it worked fine (although only one picture at a time). Will appreciate some advice on what is causing the issue. TIA

Why can't I share photos to Facebook from mobile app? The screen just kind of blinks but won't do anything.  I did recently upgrade to iPhone 15, not sure if that is the problem. 

I am trying to figure out how to move my Lightroom Catalog to my new computer. All the videos That I see on this are Lightroom Classic. Nothing on just plan ol' Lightroom. So wheen I look at it it says everything is based on the cloud but I don't have enough storage to sync it. So I guess my question becomes; is there a way to move the catalog over to a new computer or am I stuck because it says the "cloud"? I am moving it from a Windows 10 pc to Windows 11.

In Lightroom Desktop (macOS) sometimes when using healing tools or brushes I need to zoom in to the image to better see what I am doing.  And then, I may need to move to a part of the image that is to the left/right/up/down of what is displayed on screen.  To do this, I have to close the masking/healing tab, which will then bring up the 'hand' so that I can move around the image to the spot I need to work on, then I need to re-open the masking/healing tabs and get back to work. Is there a keyboard shortcut so I can just quickly switch back and forth between the brush/object selection/healing tools and the hand tool?

I recently updated my computer (intel-based iMac to the new iMac m3). In the process, I lost most of my metadata. The keywords are intact, but the data for each photo are missing. Would you happen to have any ideas about retrieving the missing data?

Hi,I bought lightroom premium from google play yesterday, but today it shows that premium membership is not available. I tried to resort purchase but not working. It returns an eroor that The purchase found could not be restored because it hasa lready been claimed.I'm sure I'm using the right account for both google play and adobe account, please help me figure this out, thanks. Ted

I have a valid subscription from Google Play for Lightroom Premium.  It was last billed in May of 2023 and should be valid until May of 2024.  I got a new phone and want to activate it on there, having already wiped my old phone and traded it in.  I get the same pop-up that others have reported saying I need to be logged into the same account on Google Play and Adobe, which I am.  I tried to restore the purchase but it returns an eroor that The purchase found could not be restored because it has already been claimed. I'm sure I'm using the right account for both google play and adobe account, please help me figure this out, thanks. This is the most recent version of the app on a Pixel 8 Pro running Android 14 with all current updates.

I had a question about how I'm processing images and wondered if I'm losing any quality in the way I'm doing it.  I've had some times where I think some images look better than others and I could be from camera but I want to me sure it's not my flow on lr Ideally I start to finish (load, select, edit, export) on my computer the entire time with SD card plugged in. I'm wondering if this with less steps is giving me any better quality a lot of the time I'm on the go and might upload sd card on my phone, choose ones I like on my iPad for a better view and edit on computer later in the day. All made possible from the cloud , then I may download the final on my phone and I'm no longer with the SD card , does this matter at all? hope that makes sense, thanks for any insight
