Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

Hello,The Lightroom guide states that when migrating a Lightroom Classic catalog to Lightroom Cloud, custom metadata will not be available after migration.What constitutes custom metadata?Specifically, where I have altered the capture date for a file (to have it reflect the actual date of a scanned image (e.g. 1970), rather than the date the scanned file was created (e.g. 2023) will the image file migrated to Lightroom Cloud show the date I had input (1970) or the date the file was created (2023)?Thank you

Hi,Some videos is displaying weird colors in the photo grid. All videos are from iPhone and is HDR videos. My hunch is that this is HDR gone wrong.See attached screenshot: There is a funny thing about timing; there is some delay in the coloring. It seems like thumbnail is loaded and then the color filter is loaded. Only - it gets the wrong filter or something.I've tried to disable GPU acceleration - my laptop supports basic acceleration on Intel Iris XE graphics.Everything I can think of (GPU, System, Lightroom, everything else) is updated to newest version from respective vendors.Any ideas? 

Hello,I'm using Lightroom Creative Cloud with 1tb storage. All my photos and albums are stored on the cloud. I don't have Lightroom Classic.I want to share albums with my family so :- They can easily access any of them, anytime- They can download high res images if they want to print some I tried to publish a portfolio, since I could manage rights there, it seemed like a great option. But Adobe portfolios drastically limit files quality on download, so it's a definitive no.I tried to share albums with a "public" link (only owners of the link can connect). It works well, but it has flaws : quality is a bit downgraded (not by much, but still) and all albums aren't accessible with one link only.Finally I tried the "Gallery" feature, wich looks great : several albums accessible from the the same page, and highest quality downloads. But I cannot manage the rights from anywhere and the url starts with "https://lightroom.adobe.com/gallery/..." as opposed to directly shared albums whose l

When I use Lightroom Classic this when exporting allows me to change the pixels per inch of an image, but my doubt is that when exporting in Lightroom CC version you can not change the pixels per inch of an image and automatically you export it in 240 dpi, is it so or am I wrong? and is there any section within Lightroom CC to change this, thanks and I hope for an answer,.a hug to the entire Adobe community.

I have an older version of Lightroom that prior to an update (years back) allowed for batch edits; Edit one image, select other images and hit sync. It was so easy then. That doesnt work anymore on that version. Go it. So I joined the creative cloud hoping to have this feature, however, it seems its still an issue. Problem: I edit one image, copy edits, and paste edits but it doesnt replicate the edits to the selected group of images. It only works on a single image at a time.Is this really a bug that hasnt been fixed even in the newest versions of LR all these years later?PC, Windows (Latest)what am I missing?

アップルストアのレビューに書き込みした「しんしんひんひん」です。わたしが言いたかったのはこう言う事です。画面縦向きで編集する場合は編集メニューが表示されますが(写真1枚目)、横にするとメニューが表示されません。アップデート以前は横向きにしても表示されていたので、画面横向きのまま編集できました。アップデート後は横にするとメニューが表示されなくなったので、数値を変更する場合、わざわざ縦向きにして変更しないといけない。手間な上、横向き写真が多い自分にとって横向きのまま方が画面も見やすく、その常態で編集できたのに、それができなくなりました。尚、レビューの回答で教えていただいた作業は全て試みましたが改善されませんでした。横向きのまま編集する方法があるのなら教えていただきたい。  

Hi I have  LR installed on a windows pc and had the hard drive. replaced.  LR now indicates that it is unable to move photos to the cloud as the DATA is offline. There is an option to Forget Volume that will delete the data that was presumably located on the earlier hard drive. If I do this Forget Volume will it have any affect on the copy that was installed on the lap top before the disk replacement ?Thanks RJ 

Hi, I moved from an old 2016 MacBook Pro (Intel Chip) to a MacBook Pro Max M1 (Silicon Chip). When using the cloud desktop version of Lightroom (v 6.5), I can no longer add photos directly from my Nikon D850 using an HDMI to USB C Cable. When I select "Add Photos", I see my Nikon D850 appear in the drop down menu as I did in the past. Previously on the old Mac Book, I would see the images come up in a grid, and I could select which photos I want to import. However, with the Max M1, after clicking on it, Lightroom can't find any images. Instead, I get the message "No images that can be imported were found in the selected source." I'm guessing this has to do with compatibility regarding the silicon chip. Is there a way to fix this? Any help is appreciated. Thank you

My partner and I both have the XT5.   Initially I couldn't preview my raw thumbnails, however, after trying various options, they are now visible.     My partner still cannot view the raw files from his camera's card as thumbnails, on his computer, or even on my computer which now shows mine.     I am now wondering if there is a difference on how his camera is writing to the SD card.    It doesn't make sense, otherwise, especially as I can't view the thumbnails of his raw images on my computer.    Any thoughts please?

Recently, I've been doing most of my photo editing using Lightroom mobile with the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro. It would be great to have the option to switch the editing panel from right to left. I'm left-handed, and when I use the Apple Pencil, I have to reach my hand across the screen to make adjustments. I've gotten used to it, but it would be great to see the adjustments in real time, without my hand in the way.  

I have a Creative Cloud subscription. I use Lightroom CC, but would like to switch to Lightroom Classic (cloud-based). I have a large number of photos I've been editing in Lightroom CC in Creative Cloud. I have these photos stored locally, too. Is it possible to change my subscription to Classic (cloud-based), while keeping my photos in Creative Cloud?

Hello guys, I downloaded Lightroom for IOS, I premise that I am an amateur who enjoys editing photos, I used the mask to correct the sky in a photo taken with iphone but I can't save this edit. I click on the tick to the right of "masking" but after editing it disappears, to make it reappear I have to go back to masking. How can I save the edited image to my phone? Thank you very much.

 Lightroom snycing is working very slow . Lightroom can't syncing 300 photos in 3 - 4  hours . How can I fix this ? All photos in desktop Lightroom but I can see on Lightroom mobile . Please help me ! 

Hola, I have photoshop on my phone and its Android I paid for subscription to use it for one year,And now I have a Mac book, and already downloaded Photoshop on a laptop,How can I access my one year subscription from my phone to Mac?I remember its said it's possible to do that, basically pay for one photoshop for android and also can access same photoshop and cloud on laptop,How to access it?Thank you 

I have had this issue for years now but I've never posted it. Whenever I have lightroom open, it makes my macs controlls for playing and skipping music not work. I don't believe there is a fix to this but I want adobe to see this so that they can fix this annoying issue. I know for a fact it's lightroom as when I close lightroom down, I can then pause/play and skip music. it doesnt happen with any other adobe app.

My plan should include both LIGHTROOM and LIGHTROOM CLASSIC. So why is Creative Cloud Desktop not giving an option to update LIGHTROOM? Instead, it only gives me an option to TRY

I'm not sure what is wrong with Lightroom.It has happened to my last two edits.When I want to share my edit to discover, the first time I get this error:it does not show any mask in particular that it had a problem with.If I try again, I get this error:My image is 1800*1200, much larger than the what is mentioned here.If try from the web page, it will show up on my page on discover but not in discover, when I selec t the image in my profile it says:the edit is still processing, it might take a minute and stays there for even a day!Any help? 

In the cloud button, it keeps showing "Some Photos Invalid". However, when I view what items have trouble syncing (by filtering "Sync Status" for "Error"), Lightroom shows that there were no photos that are invalid. How do I fix this issue? I also do notice that my photos are taking significant space on my hard drive, so it seems like maybe the photos are not uploading correctly and is still taking up space on my Mac.

I am using version 8.4.1 on Ipad.  I wanted to save my photos on an external SSD before I travel, but the Export  froze before asking me where to save the output.  I redid it again to try an see if it displays an error messages, there were none, but it took up a lot of storage and I cannot delete them even when I used Clear Cache.   This is what I did: I selected over 1000, click on the share icon, chose Export as DNG.  LRM thinks about it for about 10 minutes and I could see the pending message was counting down the photos, but it stopped at 999 photos and froze.  After waiting for about 5 minutes I stopped the app and repeated the above steps to see if there is an error message that I missed.     The result is the same, but it had used over 10 GB of storage for each export.   My question is how I could clear the space? is there is a limited to how many photos that I can export.  (I have exported 10 photos before and there were no issu

When I update to the latest version, when I click on the three dots, the screen freezes and I can't edit the photo. What should I do? 

i am soo much angry today ,after the latest update ,ligtroom ruins everything on my app everything.none of my presets are usable ,its totatly freacking me out.how the hell this can be done. i created the presets over the years and now whatever i change on the photo i created the preset it ruins my whole colour .even when i copy the same setting to the same raw photo its not the same colours.Man this is so make me crazy .immediately need help becuase i have hundreds of photos to edit. how come an update whole the system .  it even change my raw file color shift when i touch any tiny adjustment .please help man somebody help!

I've mainly been using LrC so, I was surprised to see that Versions, a great feature in my opinion, was removed from LrM now called ecosystems/cloud based. Versions gave you the ability to store different edits or versions of the same photo alongside the existing one in LrM. To view different final edits or even ones in progress of the same photo side by side was to go to Versions. To see one of them full screen or apply to further edit or save that's all you had to do was select it. This was a brilliant feature and extremely useful!! Why would this awesome feature (Versions) be removed I am left baffled and wondering??? If you have a fabulous feature, like Versions, that adds value, why would you remove it - just for the sake of changing something to make it seem new (updates)? It makes me sad that Adobe has jumped on this popular but unfortunate/unfavorable bandwagon of messing with a good thing just to change a good product to label it an upgrade in the software application world. Hello,I don't understand why sometimes Lightroom is very slow to sync, while in my preferences I uncheked all options to store pictures locally.On the other hand on the web application lightroom.adobe.com everything is fast. Does anyone have the best configuration to make Lightroom as quick as possible to make changes?I recently reset all of my ratings to zero and this caused the whole application to crash and is now unusable... (I should point out that I have 20k photos in Lightroom)
