Versions are good but very awkward on iPad. They require a lot of tapping around in the UI to get very small tasks done which make them a very casual feature and far less usefull than what they could be. What I'd like to see are keybaord shortcuts (and potentially gesture shortcuts): - Open the versions picker in normal mode - Open the versions picker in 'named' mode - Create a named version (even when the picker is closed) - Cycle through previous/next (named) versions We can't duplicate photos or create variants on mobile yet and the advise is to use versions instead, but those keyboard shortcuts are urgently needed to consider them more as part of a normal workflow
Lr Android 8.3.1 introduced a new drop-down menu for undo, redo, versions, and reset. With this change comes the addition of an extra tap to undo - first you have to drop down the menu, then tap the undo. To me, this was particularly jarring because the menu's icon changes to "Undo" when you perform an action that can be undone, but tapping it doesn't actually undo anymore. Personally, I appreciate having all of these icons in a logical "history" grouping, but another part of me really doesn't like that now we have to tap into a menu just to do a simple undo -- previously, this was just a single tap and done. I use undo a lot, especially when messing around with presets and profiles. I am curious to know how other users of Lr Android feel about this change. Does it bug you as much as it bugs me?
Ok, this is just an idea... I've just installed the Lightroom (I always used the LR Classic) and I was playing with the HDR feature... I have a lot of questions! (bad english spoiler) 1. What is the best export format? I tried the avif, but I can't see on my iPhone or with finder on my Mac. I can't share an hdr photo on instagram for example, the avif file doesn't upload well 2. This is the idea... Is it possible to export the "View HDR" mask as a "mask", alpha channel or something like that? I'm thinking on print it or cut a MDF to put light behind the print, what do you think?
lightroom cc 2019 add photo button greyed out. I cant import photo
Adobe needs to add in iOS LrMobile an easy access to mask -> background. This requires more clicks then necessary as you need to invert every time eg. the motiv. Enough space is availiable to easily add that important mask.
One of the fastest way for me to cull albums on Lightroom Classic, is the caps-lock "on" flagging feature. When Caps-Lock is on, you can just fly through the album by using "u", "p" and "x".Also many of the keyboard shortcuts, such as + & - to adjust say "exposure" doesn't work at all in the Lightroom Cloud app. Why isn't this implemented in the Lightroom Cloud, nor the Lightroom Web? Also occasionally on apple m2, the arrow key to advance to next photo wont work until restart.
I would love to be able to filter by lens type, similar to how you can filter by camera body. Would make it easy to see all photos taken with my 50mm, 23mm, 90mm etc. at a glance. Would also want to be able to see my raw vs JPEG files without the cumbersome searching of “.jpeg” in the search bar.
Please make it possible to close the Schreen or exit the app while exporting, without the export to stop. It is really annoying to sit and wait and watch as the photos are exported.
I'm hoping it's a bug not a conscious decision to remove the hashmarks a attempt to show in my screenshot because it decreases the utility of the histogram tool. Please re-enable whatever the case and thanks very much.
Hi, If i do screen mirroring from my iPad to OLED TV (using apple airplay), with Apple Photos App i am getting HDR brightness for presented picture, even this picture was exported from lightroom to Apple Photos App. However, if i see Lightroomw App using same screen mirroring, no HDR is visibleon presented Lightroom pictures. It would be nice for HDR support over screen mirroring for Lightroom App, at least for presenting photos. Laci..
We really need an option to input tezmxt overlays in adobe lightroom for phones
When selecting photos to import on mobile or desktop flags which have been assigned in-camera (Sony A7RIII) are not visible on-screen. Once the photos are in my library the flags are visible but if they were visible on the import screen it would allow users to avoid importing unnecessary images.
Option to have just the DNG file after using the tool, instead of the duplicate stacked together. Tool to be available on mobile application. Option to have it automatically pick what level of noice reduction to process ( speed up workflow ) & on top of that being able to select multiple files to have the effect applied to. Thank you, hope to see these features considered and added soon 🙂
Greetings. I would like to write a suggestion/idea for improvement in the case of sliding controls. Would it not be possible to have a haptic response using a light vibration and to scale one step at a time. It would perhaps be easier and more accurate to manipulate the sliders. Now it happens to me quite often with the S-PEN that when scrolling down the menu, I accidentally pull a slider that I don't want to pull. There are unnecessary steps back in editing. Thank you, good luck. You are doing a great job.
There are instances when Lightroom Mobile might crash either due to low ram or storage. This might happen while you're saving 100+ for a wedding shoot and you discover that only 60 out of 100 were saved before it crashed. The only way would be to start all over and save all 100 images again though you already saved 60 because you have no clue what got saved and what didn't. It's a process. SOLUTION : Develop the Lightroom Mobile app so that there are indications of images saved from the app. For example there could be a blue box with tick on a photo already saved to the device gallery right inside the app. So if the app crashes you'd know which ones didn't save to the device and you'll continue where you left off. Please try to do something about this issue. I'm pretty sure its a hindrance to many creators out there.
I wish Adobe would create a "LR View" only app for mobile devices. No edits, no additions, no deletions or downloads. Such an app would be perfect for my spouse, other family members and friends that I give access to. Arend
Now that the iPhone 15 Pro has an action button that can be customized to run any app Shortcut, it would be great to be able to use it to launch the Lightroom Camera. However, there seems to be no such shortcut available at present.
Hello! Instead of just having the "invite and get link" could we also have an "invite and get QR code" on Lightroom like it is on Adobe Aero
For both android and ipad.. even on the ipad pro 11 this was always annoying, on the S9 ultra more so because you have to move so far to tap the X or check mark when masking on a tablet. I edit in portrait orientation. Moving the X and check mark button might frustrate users who've gotten used to its location, so what I am suggesting is to add an additional X and check mark UI buttons on either side of the masking/healing ui interface as in the screenshot attached, it'd be a great improvement to UI useability. Additionally is it possible to assign a pen gesture on the S pen to accept or cancel? Like the side button click for accept, double for no etc?
Lightroom Android - I'm using an S9 Ultra, switched from an iPad Pro. What I'm missing is pinch zoom in and out during the grid display, so I can display either larger or smaller thumbnails. It's just a nice quality of life feature to have that appears missing from the Android version unless I'm missing something here
I was excited to learn that LR Desktop had an option to make copies of all photos uploaded in the cloud on a drive connected to my computer. I like having all of my photos available on a local drive as well as the cloud. The biggest reason is that when I fill up my 1tb of cloud space, I plan on deleting older photos from the cloud since I won't need access to them all the time. However, I still want to keep them. We should have the option to leave any photos we delete from the cloud on the backup drive used in LR Desktop.
Subject line says it all. I'm trying to arrange my photos in an order that tells a story. I thought a simple drag and drop would do the trick but it seems no such functionality is available. Seems like a simple addition that would really empower me!
Currently in LR for iPadOS, you can only see the photos in a single album at a time. In both LRC and LR Desktop, when you click on a parent folder, you see all of the photos that are in all of the sub folders. For example, in LRC here are 2 examples of my folder hierarchy: Mtn Biking>Washington>Galby> Day. Mtn Biking>Canada>Whistler>Day. If I click on Mtn Biking, I see all of my Mtn biking photos. If I click on Washington, I see all of my Mtn biking photos from Washington. If I click on Whistler, I see all of my photos from just Whistler and so on. In LR for iPadOS, this doesn't work. I have to drill down to each specific album to see any photos and I can see only those photos. A lot times I want to look through photos of more than just one album at a time. Like in my examples, sometimes I want to see all of the photos I took at Whistler or Galby for example. This is one of the biggest annoyances I have with
I recently purchased a large set of presets and brushes from a site, but my computer cannot run Lightroom Classic or photoshop due to too little RAM. It would be great if Lightroom CC had an update to allow for brush presets to be used. [Mod: Moved to the Lightroom Ecosystem forum]
