Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

Using Export -> Original + Settings for TIF or JPG files is not exporting the develop settings - in a readable fashion.   I export from Lightroom Cloud Desktop and then import the exported file into LRC (I'm looking to backup my cloud images). On import I do nothing but move it to a new folder.  There are no edits picked up from the file. This is for Light adjustments eg exposure, contrast or applied crops.    If it then use lightroom Desktop Local to browse the file it too does not pick up the edits. I re-exported the file from lightroom cloud and just viewed the file with the desktop local mode without importing into LRC and the same issue - no edits applied.   Looking at the exported files with exiftool they appear to have the edits listed - so I am totally lost as to what the problem is.   Note.  hello my subtract from maskhas not been working for about a year and I'm using the Samsung Edge 25 and I've updated everything and I've been using Lightroom for years and never used to have an issue in the previous years. I've now given up and I am posting an example of when I highlight the subject and then I clicked on subtract from mask, but the options to erase or the brush on the left hand side disappears when I highlight the mask.

I was forced to buy a new phone recently and just went for the base level Pixel 10, but I was surprised to find that upon uploading some RAW images to LR that they look completely busted? - Like the file isn't supported?    Which is weird because the profile says 'Google Pixel'? I assumed (probably incorrectly) that all Pixels used the same software from Google and it was only the hardware that varied slightly?   Can anyone she any light?

Hi,Bug 1)  I've been running into this issue for a couple weeks now.  Whenever I copy edit settings, it'll paste fine onto one image, but if I try to paste onto another image, it does nothing.Bug 2)  I also tried pasting onto multiple images at once and it turned a bunch of them weird colors until I let them update AI settings.  I think it might have something to do with the denoise features, TBH.The attached green image is after pasting settings, but before updating AI.  Normal looking image is after updating AI.-MattEdit:  I'd like to note that Bug 1 is intermittent.  I'd say it's like 1 in every 3 times I copy settings.  Sometimes it'll paste an infinite number of times, others I get one paste and I'm done.

The text box to enter link to YouTube page/channel doesn't allow hyphens.  But most such URLs have hyphens.  Same likely true of Facebook.

So it says Lightroom works on my device but it only loads in safe mode on windows 11 for me. It is allowed in my norton firewall and antivirus.    So I used the help in creative cloud where I went into the directory yes creative cloud, lightroom, lightroom classic and photoshop are all up to date as the AI asked me to check. They were and no it didn't work as the AI asked me. Yes, I opened Lightroom classic and photoshop fine but lightroom (cloud) still crashes when I open it. I rebooted and no that didnt work either.   So now I am at a loss as to what to do and I cannot seem to talk or email anyone.   Michael

When i edit on ipad lightroom, it's not sync to cloud. Always load to old versions from cloud

Ricoh GRIIIx camera matching profiles are missing in LR mobile, but present in LR desktop.   I'm running the latest version on both my iPad and iPhone, same result, but they appear fine on my Mac     

Hi I have noticed recently that all my raw photos from my phone are being stretched horizontally on import to lightroom mobile app for android. I have never had this problem before. The pics are unusable if editing on lightroom now. Can't fix the aspect ratio or the crop. Anyone else having this problem with raw files, and has anyone found a solution? 

Hallo, Mein ausgewähltes Preset wird beim importieren von RAW Bildern nicht mehr angewendet. Der Fehler tritt jetzt erst nach dem Letzten LR Update auf. In den Voreinstellungen habe ich mein Preset gewählt. Woran kann das liegen? Windows 11 Pro,  Gruß Uli  

I'm using Lightroom 9.0 in Windows to organize photos. I've learned that if I manually add keywords to a photo in the "Cloud" tab, the same photo on the "Local" tab doesn't get the keyword whereas if I add keywords to a photo on the "Local" tab and then copy it to the cloud the keyword appears in both places. If I had previously copied the photo to the cloud, I just need to check the box to overwite metadata. Today I noticed there's a catch: Overwriting the metadata removes all the facial recognition people tags from the cloud version of the photo. I've lost thousands of photos worth of facial recognition people tags by working on the manual tagging in "Local" and copying the manual tags to the cloud. Steps to reproduce the issue: In Lightroom 9.0 on desktop in the "Local" tab, copy a photo of a person's face to cloud On the "Cloud" tab, note that Lightroom identified a face Return to the "Local" tab, add a manual keyword and copy to cloud again, checking "overwrite metadata" On the "

When I tried to import HIEF photos taken with a Sony camera from the SD card using Lightroom for iphone, only the photos with portrait composition could not be imported. I would like to know if this is a problem that is only happening on my device.

I shoot large DNG raw files on a Leica Q2, usually on a 64gb SD card but sometimes 128gb.  I shoot until the card is full, then I import the images to Lightroom on my iPad via an SD card reader USB-C adapter.  A 64gb card holds around 800 images or so.  Whenever I try to import, it takes a very long time, and approximately half the time, it just crashes and I have to re-start, usually four or five tries before it works.  The import process just seems extremely buggy and unstable when processing large volumes of high resolution images.  I am happy to use my M2 MacBook instead, but I was really hoping that the M1 iPad Pro could handle this sort of typical prosumer level workflow dependably.  It works fine for importing fewer images that are smaller in size, but you think it should be able to handle an entire 64gb SD card's worth of photos, since that is a pretty typical (even low end) size photo shoot.  Surely they must be working on this issue--strikes

Bulk rename of videos causes videos to be stuck on computer and never upload. I used the new bulk rename feature and all of the photos updated immediately.  I was left with 39 videos stuck uploading. I left it fora day and there was no network traffic on my computer. To resolve this, I archived each video and added them each back into Lightroom. They immediately uploaded.

Hello,   Wondering if anyone else encountered this bug: When opening a video from Lr on my phone, it loads for a few seconds, black screens and crashes the app. Pictures are fine, editing pictures is fine, just videos. Any suggestions would be great.   I am using a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL.    Thank you.

Liebe Community,seit dem Update auf Lightroom 8.0 habe ich massive Probleme mit dem Maskierungs- und Cropping-Tool (Bildbeschnitt).Wenn ich Lightroom starte, funktioniert es für ein paar Minuten. Nachdem ich zwei oder drei Bilder bearbeitet habe, funktionieren sowohl das Maskierungs- als auch das Zuschneidewerkzeug nicht mehr richtig. Es wird weder eine Maske gezeichnet noch werden die Balken an der Seite des Rahmens angezeigt, um die Größe eines Bildes zu ändern.Ich muss Lightroom jedes Mal neu starten, damit es für ein oder zwei Bilder wieder funktioniert, bevor es wieder funktioniert.Ich verwende auch die neueste Version von Mac OS.Viele GrüßeNico

I can enable the setting, but when I exit the setting and return it is always turned off again.

I have a photo that has multiple older versions that were auto saved in the Versions tab. I recently applied Denoise to it from the Detail panel. Upon hovering over the older versions in the version tab, they're all previewed as if they had Denoise applied.   If you have time to move this post from Bugs to Discussions, then you have time to acknowledge it, along with my two other posts (1, 2) which were moved and still remain unacknowledged by your staff, despite there being staff activity on much more recent posts.

Mac OS Sequoia 15.5 / Lightroom desktop 8.4. If: I create a mask (e.g., Select Color) then choose intersect with Brush, the brush doesn't show until the mouse button is pushed and the size cannot be controled using the sq bracket keys although the slider works. Once the brush shows, it doesn't disappear until another item is selected. This problem does not exist in Classic or Photo Raw. This wasn't an issue prior to the update yesterday.

If you hover over a folder or album with an ampersand in its name, and the name is long enough to be truncated (therefore warranting a tooltip), you'll notice that the ampersand does not show up in the tooltip: an underscore appears instead.   For example, if the name is "Crate & Barrel" the tooltip shows "Crate _Barrel".

Since downloading the latest version of Lightroom for iPhone, I have been unable to post photos on Instagram. I keep getting error messages. I removed both apps and reinstalled them, but they did not solve the problem. The same thing happens on my iPad. I think it's a bug in the latest version of LR.

Lightroom 8.5.1Mac Studio M1 MaxMacos 15.6.1 Steps:1. Create new mask with a Brush >> the brush strokes appear as expected with a red overlay2. Close Masking and go to Grid view.3. Open same picture in Edit4. Open Masking and select the brush mask >> the red mask overlay is one moment visible and then disappears. It does not come back by toggling 'Show overlay'. Workaround:Go to 'Compare' view and back to 'Detail' view, the red overlay mask appears again and stays visible. I have tried resetting Preferences and reinstalling Lightroom, but this behaviour stays the same.Hope this issue will be resolved in the next update soon. Greetings, Peter Vrijlandt

Any star-ratings applied to RAF files coming from the new Fujifilm GFX100RF are not being recognized by Lightroom (nor Bridge). In-camera star ratings applied to GFX100RF JPG and HIF files are being imported recognized no problem.   I have tested with both uncompressed and compressed RAF files. No difference.   RAF files that were star-rated in-camera on my X100VI or X-T5 work properly; the ratings appear as expected in both Lr and Br. This problem only seems to happen with RAF files from the GFX100RF (for me).   As a sanity check, the star ratings are clearly visible in the RAF files using EXIFTOOL, Photo Mechanic, and FastRawViewer.I've tested this on the Mac, iPhone and iPad versions of Lr.
