I have the beta version of Fuse CC on my computer. I hear Adobe is dropping support or ending its life. I would like to inquire about the license and whether I can use the still model for commercial purposes. By @DAveB833 1 Adobe already dropped all support 2 the licence has not changed and predates Adobe buying Fuse/ Mixamo 3 in short, yes you can use both characters and animations royalty free for personal, commercial, and non-profit projects  4 no you can't redistribute assets or use it for machine learning i.e, if I want a model i have to go get it from Mixamo myself and not from you 5 getting Fuse to run now needs a system without creative cloud installed i.e, you havee to hack the software however its still on Steam as a free download for older [32bit] systems... to get Steam running on old systems also needs some skill so if you somehow still have a working copy of Fuse i recommend locking it away from Adobe or even the internet ... 1 Mixamo shows gray because it knows you have a texture but can't read the file... by design Mixamo can read jpg or Png images but will show gray if you load for example a tif 2 just fyi Mixamo displays white when it can't detect any image at all   the small model will be because you didn't make a standard Fbx i.e, when Mixamo converted it some of the data was lost... another common mistake is models that have more than one file type i.e, the face is Fbx but the body is Obj   how to fix always = make standard file types [harder with Fbx because autodesk keeps changing their mind when deciding what their standard is] if you want to share the model (with textures) then i'm happy to try for you ... i see user error what you actually want is the main bone zeroed i.e, the one every other bones links to... but setting every bone to zero means they try to be in the same spot i.e, your software just did what you asked it too and this has nothing to do with Mixamo   1 what software are you using to display/ use the model? 1 its not a standard Fbx which is why the left side is different to the right... thats may or may not matter depending on what software your game uses and how fussy it is about using standards 2 the error message translates as your bones are incorrect which in this model mostly means you joined the feet together and the simple fix is to unjoin them [i'll remove your bones and include examples of how that rigs]   ... yes Mixamo likes sizes under 30mb and i would remove both shield and sword before uploading but remove the bones by making it a Obj file and test results if you really want to keep the weapons ... View more

1 the issue is the model doesn't have a standard vertor... where did you get it? 2 you say the lastest Dimension [which is 4] but you also say had this problem for months [which is 3] so i'm not sure what build we are talking about   step 1 - try a different model... do they all give the same preview result? step 2 - rendor the model you have in that screenshot with any of the standard lights... does it rendor correct?   ... well yes and no yes if you add animation then Mixamo will give you the option to remove 'skin' in the download however no thats not what 'skin' means in 3D models a 'skin' is the actual model i.e, hands torso and all not just the textures... the point of downloading without 'skin' is to just have the bones and their animation that way if you download a dozen animations for one model then you don't need 12 copies of the same model and can save a bit of space ... the type of Fbx file matters so imo your best workflow is; 1 download the model with textures as shown in your screenshot 2 open that model in a 3D editing software like Blender and adjust it i.e, remove the texture and may also want to make file changes because Maya needs to match its build to which version of Fbx it wants to use ... happy to help   some tips for next time; the software likes a low polly model under 40mb... whatever you made this model in used a low polly body in whats called open T pose so you may get distortion around the wrist when you place it into normal T pose i.e, hands should point up and down not front to back as it does in your model   next time you make a model decimate the extra parts like horns and hair to lower the overall file size without really changing how the model looks ...
