Photoshop

The Photoshop for Ipad does not support the smart objects fully. This means I can double-click and edit an smart object without affecting the filters I have applied or the nested smart objects. Therefore, it is useless for me. I LEGIT SPENT $1099 AND BOUGHT an IPAD thinking it will be smoother than PC, plus my work (which is legitmate dependent on smart objects) will be loaded quickly. It turned out to be not working at all!

After editing a photo in Lightroom and then moving it to Photoshop from within Lightroom to make further changes, Photoshop is for some reason stripping the Fuji camera profiles from the file.  This does not apply to other camera profiles, only the default Fujifilm ones.

I am using PE 25.0 on a MacBook Pro running OS 15.4.1.  I make a lot of images in which I delete the backgound so that I just have an image of the person or object.  I search the images using finder in icon view to find the image that I want.  About one out of 20 of these icons show up blank in finder when in icon view.  If I created the image with no background layer, the icon will be white.  If I include a background layer of any color, the icon will be black.  If I switch to list view in finder, I can see the icon but it is too small to be useful.  I have tried deleting com.apple.finder.plist file and relaunching finder, changing the image in some way and saving a new copy and changing some of the finder view preferences.  Nothing helps.  Other ideas?

After I camplete cropping of my image, I look under adjustments for file size.  I see 8 MB.  Is this the actual size of the image when I save it to submit it to a website?

The Remove Tool requires multiple passes to remove multiple objects in an image. Changed the Image Processing to "More Stable" and rebooted. No change.PS ver 26.7.0

My situation is: My workflow involves really big batches of automated actions.   One set of such actions, for example, involves opening an image, resizing it as needed, then saving it to an external folder. Simple stuff, but done at a very large scale -- and slowly but sure, as these batches run, the RAM/Memory usage -- as seen in the Task Manager -- just climbs up and up, the further along I progress. Another batch action that gets performed is batch smart-object replacement -- where basically, a smart object template in a series of mockup images gets replaced with images in a folder, then saved. This, too, causes the same problem: The further along it progresses, the more RAM/Memory gets used up.   It was to the point where the Memory usage would max out bigtime and just get as high as possible on my computer -- grinding basically everything to a halt on my computer and slowing everything down bigtime. Only solution at that point is closing out of Photoshop, then re-booting

Sorry to bother everyone with this. All of a sudden Photoshop is not seeing the GPU on my iMac. MacOS is fully up to date and Photoshop has been running as normal up to now. Now, I can't do anything within Photoshop. I'm sorry if this insignificant but I am not too good at the technical stuff, just the creative!! Hope someone is able to help me out. I will have someone open Photoshop on another computer; will they be able to see my files? I have not uploaded my files to the Creative Cloud and am not sure if it automatically does that. Is there a way for them to not see my files?

Im teaching my students the very quick way to add a pop of color to a black and white photo with using a Black & White Adjusment Layer and the eraser tool.  It is working with no problems on every students computer except one.  On this particular student's computer....it will not allow me to erase or even use the lasso tool or anything to select an area to delete.  Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this?   I have restarted and I have checked her PS preferences against a working one, just to see if there is something there that is different but I have not seen anything.  Any help at all would be appreciated. 

This can't be an intentional update, so I'm posting as a bug....When using the Hue/Sat adjustment layer, I want to view the mask as I've always been able to do using the "\" key. Since updating, it temporarily resets the adjustment. There is a hide/reveal button already in the adjustment pane. There is the ability to turn the layer on/off. Why would anyone need this?How do I correct this? 

I cannot open my 3D file. I remember that it was working about 1-2 months ago, but I don't know why I can't use it now. I use PS 2020

This is rather trivial, but dId you notice that the Blend if sliders always skip the value 64?  I don't have a Windows machine, so this is macOS. 

I'm really confused as to what happened here, just normal text for a community paper header I whipped up, and a rectangle shape, but I noticed it translated in the exported .png too. Even stranger, there's an alternate text version that is otherwise identical at the top that doesn't feature this degradation.  Not a huge upset to my design, just going to swap the text out in the other drafted version, but really curious as to why/how it happened???? [photo is of psd file not png export]

Hello,  Until yesterday, when I used crop/generative expand, the image would not be changed in any way. The only change was the filled area where I extended the crop. All of a sudden, a decent amount of the image is being distorted as well. How can I change back to where the original image is not altered in any way and only the cropped portion is added.  I read about adding layers, but I'm a novice and don't know how to do this. I tried, but couldn't figure it out.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.  Thank You

Photoshop is the lease intuitive program. Nobody wants jagged edges. With photoshop, you're going to get jagged edges. Idiotic. 

Hello, I'm using the latest PS update 26.7 but I'm not sure when this happened - before or after the update as I haven't used the software for about 2 weeks.When I open any image no matter how big or small and I go to the top "Image" menu and select "Image size" a pop-up window appears saying "Could not update smart object files because of a program error." What smart objects? I'm literally opening a simple image in PS and not doing anything else but wanting to resize it and this appears. It has never happened to me before so I'm not sure what to do about it. Image>Canvas size works but Image size doesn't.

Situation: ANY layered file, no matter the size or file type. TIFF, PSD, PSB hangs at 99% while saving for a very long time. Whether saving back to Lightroom or saving to ANY drive. It happens with files I've created from scratch, it happens with photos that come from Lightroom. My drives that I've tested: M.2 system drive, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, External G-Drive USB-C, NAS storage system. Files generated with the "Export As" function do not take into account their suffix when overwriting existing files, resulting in deletion of the wrong file, though no naming conflict exists.   Scenario: Example.psd is a working file that requires exports in several sizes. In the "Export As" interface we export the original size to example.jpg Then we decide we'd like to also have a smaller variant so we export another file but this time select 0.5x in the Scale All section of the Export As interface. The export window shows the original file name without suffix, which creates a prima facie naming conflict. Actual result: The file example.jpg becomes deleted, and a new file called example.jpg@0.5x is created in its place. Expected result: Two files with different names and no prompt to overwrite since no naming conflict exists. Hi, Does anyone know how I can disable these 'Discover' pop up thats are now appearing in Photoshop please? I had a very simple task to do in Photoshop, make an image greyscale, close image. As soon as I converted the image a video popup started playing square in the middle of the screen, over my image telling me how I can rotate the canvas and not my head. Shortly after im getting some Kickstart your Project in the corner of my screen as attached image.  Is there a way to turn off all these 'helpful' tutorials? I have rich tool tips turned off but this seems to be a different annoyance. These pop ups have literally just delayed me working for 15 minutes trying to find a way to disable them.  Thanks.

HiIve only just noticed that when in Camera Raw Filter from photoshop (24.0.0) when i look at the highlight clipping (red) its not actually using 255,255,255 is pure white for clipping like i assumed. I know this as i have a colour on the screen which is 250,251,255 and CFR is telling me this is highlight clipped. I only need to know pure 255,255,255 for clipping, how can i change this?No wonder when i setup Photoshop to show clipping for pure white, the results were different to CRF>Hope that makes sence, Thanks for any explaination. 

Hello!I’m using Photoshop on iPad (latest version) with Apple Pencil 1 and iPad 10th gen.In all other apps like Procreate and Notes, everything works perfectly.But in Photoshop, when I draw, the line is visible only after I lift the Pencil, not during the stroke.I already tried reinstalling the app, switching brushes, resetting settings, turning off finger touch, and restarting the iPad.Please help!
