when working on the line in the curves tool (1), any change in one area result in massive changes in other areas (2). The pencil option is ugly and inaccurate (3). Could we have a new option, in which a diagonal line, divided into sections which will protect other areas of the histogram from changes in one zone will be displayed automatically (4)? 1: 2: 3: 4:Making these points yourself for every image is tedious and moves the line a bit as you determine the points. THIS IS TRUE FOR CAMERA RAW TOO!
generative fill in Photography plan (20GB) Use only 100 times It's too little. / Why limit? When buying genuine Restrictions should be waived for Photoshop. / The number of generative fill should be increased from 100 to 1000. Photoshop Devs: I'm currently using an AI tool called Expression Editor [link removed by moderator] which is based off an open-source AI technology called Live Portrait. In my line of work facial expressions need to be nuanced. Eyebrows, corners of lips, teeth, pupil direction, hand direction, and many more subtle facial details are critical. Currently your Smart Portrait filter is not powerful enough to do all these thing so I use Expression Editor and bring the output back into my file. Please consider mimicing their features. Perhaps consider embellishing with other neck movements (e.g. crane, lean back). I like how they use sliders for all their attributes so the exact expression can be dialed in.
Why not make zooming in Liquify as smooth and convenient as it is in the main Photoshop interface?I always use the "Z" shortcut and move the pen to zoom seamlessly. However, in Liquify, the zooming process is jerky rather than fluid, forcing me to use alternative, less convenient methods. This makes the workflow much less efficient.
Hi there, I think there should be a simple way to create a PDF based on the Layers within the file... This would be different than creating multiple files as would happen when doing the "Layers to Files" option because instead of creating several files, only one would be made that contains all of the layers within the project... Another way to describe it would be to convert each layer to a page within a single PDF document... The best solution I"ve found thus far is to use Layer Comps, but this tool is not designed for what I'm suggesting... Obviously there should be a separate window that opens when trying to do this operation and it would allow for a couple of different variables to be selected for or against... Each Layer should be visible in the Window and would be checked on or off depending on if the user wishes for it to be included in the PDF. There should also be an option to do a "Quick Export" that would create a smaller PDF file with less quality..

I love the lessons in learn (but they got moved recently). I use this to teach. Please make more 'Get Started' and 'Hands-on Tutorials' as these are an awesome resource for the web version. Please put these back in the default learn menu too.
this stuff too bright
Let's improve the Curves by adding RGB buttons to switch between the channels! Now, with the drop-down list, we have to click twice - first time to activate the list, second time to choose the channel. Buttons would speed up the workflow. 🙂 That's what we've already got in ACR.Showing the opposite colors is also a good idea, by the way.But it could be optional - some experienced users may find it distracting.
Just compare the Selective color and Color balance sliders. Which are more intuitive?) I believe, the Color balance is used even by children who can't read. 🙂And the monochrome Selective color... first you should read the text, then you should remember which colors are opposite... that takes more time & effort. Make the Selective color sliders gray GREAT again! 😄
Hi, We should be able to change the background in Photoshop to a medium grey in order to be able to verify the colour with our eyes and a calibrated screen. RGB 125/125/125 Thanks
New Feature Request. Situation - you have a section of your catalog dedicated to one event/trip. There are 1000s of images. You are working your way thru them and have processed (edited) a couple of hundred. When you are done with them you are exporting them to a website for sharing with others. Now you want to go back and refine some of the edits - and resavethem to the same website. But export does not remember the prior export name info - by image. So you have to 'just know'which folder you saved it to and what it was named. This is an important part of the image processing workflow. Pleaseadd a way to save the prior export file name - by image. Thanks. It is OK to reach out to me for additional information ifyou do not understand what I'm talking about. - Jim in the PNW
Hi, I just wanted to share an idea I had for the 'Selection Brush Tool'. Often I find myself holding shift with the tool to create straight lines round the edges of the area I am trying to select and then 'colouring in' the shape I have created for my selection. Would it be possible to add a feature that filled in the area that has a selection on outline. If that makes sense. So for example if I drew a square with the selection tool I could CTRL + Shift click (or something similar) in the centre of the square to add the full square to my selection. I feel like this would make a lot of my work waaaay more efficient 🙂 Thanks for taking the time to read! Tom
Maybe I'm getting old but I feel like the Hue Range slider is getting thinner and smaller. I know how to expand the pallet to make to expand the Width of the slider, but I'd like to also be able to expand the HEIGHT of the slider! Just makes the little grey bar between the top and bottom hues a bit easier to grab and move. It's just hard to slide with a mouse or pen which makes no sense because it's a super precise and useful tool. Just make it bigger please.
Allow for a key or setting to show a magnified view to make selection tools more precise. ShareX does this when selecting for screenshots
It would be helpful to have a toggle to disable the auto-connecting behavior of straight lines drawn with the brush tool while holding Shift. Currently, to start a new line without it connecting to the previous one, users must release Shift, press B, reengage Shift, and then resume drawing. This makes drawing with straight lines cumbersome, forcing users to manage key presses instead of focusing on their work, which becomes disruptive, especially when needing to draw hundreds of lines. I've seen the below threads also discussing this behavior: disable connecting dots shift brush Straight lines snapping together
Dear Adobe Team,We would like to request the integration of support for .alv (Levels Preset) and .acv (Curves Preset) files within the Creative Cloud Library. Our team manages over 1,500 PSD files, each utilizing levels and curves adjustment layers. When adjustments need to be updated, we are required to batch process all 1,500 files with the new values, which is an extremely time-consuming process.Ideally, we would like the ability to link adjustment layers to external files stored in the Creative Cloud Library. This functionality would allow us to update the adjustment file once and have the changes automatically propagate to all PSD files when opened. This feature would greatly enhance efficiency and streamline workflows for users managing large projects with multiple PSD files.Thank you for considering our request, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on its feasibility.Best regards,Petr Maxa, Take-Two Interactive
Our team works on multiple projects (all in disparate locations) that all require numerous images. Because we're often working on more than one project at a time, juggling images in different file locations is a chore. It would help us enourmously and save us a lot of time if we had an "open file location" feature like our other applications have (i.e., Microsoft Office). It could be a menu item, a tool on the toolbar, or maybe a clickable option that appears when you hover over a preview. Wherever it lives, we'd love it.
After Effects allows for the use of one layer from the same project to be used as a displacement map for another, with live manipulation of the values being displaced. Can we get some love in Photoshop for something similar? Even just removing the additional step of saving a seperate PSD before you have to guess what amount of pixels you are displacing the object(because there's no live preview for this filter) would make this less arduous. Live preview of the displacement would be a godsend.
Changing the pivot point of a layer/object works fine. But unfortunately after committing the transformation the pivot point always goes back to the centre of the layer/object. Because I do some frame by frame animation in photoshop, it would be very handy to make the pivot point stick to the transformed point. In After Effect & Affinity Photo the anchor point does. Is there a workaround or third-party addon to achieve this behaviour? Thanks for any answer. Greetings from Hamburg, Walter
Ich würde es hilfreich finden, wenn man mehrere Profile der machineprefs.psp anlegen könnte.Hauptsächlich geht es mir dabei um den Dateiverlauf. Davon würde ich gerne Kunden- bzw. Projektbezogene Versionen verwenden.
I would like a panel with a textbox that says "What would you like to do?"I would describe a task and the software would perform it, using some basic vision and the existing API built into Photoshop. For example:"Select every shape layer and the layer directly below it, and for each, put them in a group.""Add 'preview_' to the start of every layer name""Select the outline of every layer and add a layer mask to each""Copy the layer style from first text layer and apply it to every text layer""Repeat the last 3 operations performed on Layer1 to every layer""Distribute the selected layers in an evenly spaced circle around the center" Strictly speaking, I could open up a project right now, and every 20 seconds, think of another example. To me, this is a significantly more important feature than the ability to use AI to paint or draw for me. There's loads of things that can be done via Action (and I use them a lot), but Actions lack the ability to adjust on-the-fly, and take time t
1 Layer Effects that have their own Mask so that you could create an Effect then customize by Masking areas out.2 A Cast Shadow Effect that allows you to have a tight dark shadow and a wider feathered shadow and to adjust the values as needed.
