Photoshop

Hi at all, I have to create a favicon (ico.) file and have no idea to do so in Illustrator or in Photoshop. Help would be perfect.ThanksUrsula

35 years ago John Knoll gave the first public demonstrations of Photoshop with this image: (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tda7jCwvSzg)     To celebrate Photoshop's 35th anniversary, I asked Firefly to create an image of a woman sitting on the beach of a lagoon in a swimsuit with her back bare, which it refused to do on the grounds of “Guidelines violation”.   Out of spite, I asked it for an image of a woman in a swimsuit, thinking I could tweak it in Photoshop with Generative Fill, using the prompt "remove".But again I couldn't because of Guidelines violation:     The most disconcerting thing is that I was still able to do it with the Photoshop's “Remove” tool…   The final image was posted in the Adobe FEBRUARY CHALLENGE - Photoshop turns 35! without shocking anyone. Which isn't surprising, since it's hard to understand what's shocking about seeing a bare back on a beach, even a woman's back.     Why does one Photoshop's tool

Using Photoshop 2025 v26.41 - Mac OS Sonoma 14.3  Working with bracketed photography, two layers and then mask out to reveal or hide detail. I. have always been able to add multiple radial gradient adjustments on the same layer mask however, all of a sudden, when I attempt to create another radial gradient (on same layer mask) it pulls up the handles of the only one it will let me add. Seems like a glitch because a couple of times if I wait a while it might let me add another one, randomly so it doesn't really add up.   Attached is a reference of what the layer mask might typically look like, different areas of linear or radial gradients and different densities within it is as well. Any suggestions? I would really really appreciate any help.  I already reset the tool, reset the work space and even restarted the computer...scrolled to all possible areas within the layer mask options but can't figure it out 

I have a gradient that goes from blue to green. When I try to print it from Illustrator, it basially looks like the printer just switches from blue to green. If I take the same image and print it to Adobe PDF, it looks fine in the pdf. And then, if I print the PDF, it looks okay. What is really weird is, I printed the same image on glossy business card paper, and chaged the media type to "Photo Paper", it printed okay. I spent forever trying to debug this, and I think what it comes down to is going to Print > Preferences > Paper / Quality > Advanced and then changing the Color Management setting to Adobe RBG (the default is RBG Color Smart). It still doesn't quite look like it does on the screen, but I get that the screen isn't really "true to life" either. It reminds me of back when I made one of my first websites, and I had an LCD moniter with the brightness and contrast turned up, and when I looked at it on a CRT monitor (if that tells you anything about how

Generative fill is refusing to do a simple fill. It has worked for me and did a good job basically all the time. And now I just can NOT figure it out why it's keep doing the wrong thing. I do what I have always done. Select the area I wanna fill and it just keeps giving me the same thing like I just copy and paste the same thing. Give me a sliver of blue with white. I have selected the correct layer. I have restarted everything..... it just refuses to do this extremely simple thing that i have done dozens of times before. Whats going on????????Edit:I deleted all other layers. Still didn't work. I right clicked on the layer I want to extend and selected "convert to smart object"Then double clicked and then the fill finally worked. 

Photoshop CC is suddenly missing its ability to save as/export files as a bitmap file. This happened overnight, because I saved a file to bitmap just yesterday. What gives? I use photoshop on my iMac Pro.    {Thread renamed by moderator}

Hello community,I have a request for technical advice about Photoshop CS6 (version 13)? I have request from customer to update hardware of Photoshop installation. Can you confirm please that feature to deactivate and activate the product works well? Product is a legally purchased, albeit years old, installed on Windows 10. As I wrote hardware needs to be upgraded. I'm concerned whether it will be possible to do the deactivation and activation on a new pc. Either due to technical issues or version restrictions. Thanks so much for any insight or comment.

How can I resize multiple layers at once while keeping position in Photoshop?

When I import a series of pictures into Ps to create a Timelapse and then after resizing the document format I try to resize the images layer, Ps creates a Smart Object and when I try to pull the corners of the image to resize to desired format it gets me out of that resizing tool and I can`t do it no matter what corner or method. Any suggestions on this? Thanks in advance.

Lightroom to Photoshop photo transfer not working. Photo never appears and quiting Photoshop does not ask if I want to save the photo, reinforcing the fact that it never made it.Thoughts? LrC 14.2, Photoshop 26.6, MACOS 15.3.2

I'm a screen printer and we got a new plug in for seperating our art for print. The problem is it looks for "Layer 0" but photoshop defaults the image to "Layer 1". Is there a way to make it so that when a flat image is opened, it's name will default to "Layer 0"?

As some of you know I am in the process of gathering information so I can purchase a new computer. (My last post was very helpful in making up my mind on hard drives...I sincerely thank those who commented on that thread.) Video Cards are proving to be a real pain! Adobe in the past listed recommended video cards, but apparently they do not do that anymore, but if I am wrong please let me know. The local company that built my last 3 computers is wanting to put in a GeForce RTX 4060 WINDFORCE OC 8GGraphics Card, but are there cheaper, as reliable, other options? Please note: I don't do this as a full time business, but I do love photography as it keeps my mind, and body active. (I just want to keep the price down if possible without sacrificing performance.) Another company wants to put in an Intel Arc B580, but is Intel as good as Nvidia in regards to Photoshop? Everything I read says Nvidia or AMD. Any comments are greatly appreciated! Julius

I've been using Photoshop for a over decade, but this latest update has definitely caused some random issues that I simply cannot work with. For device information I am on a 13-inch Macbook Pro M2 (Ventura 13.5), and using a Wacom Intuos Pro M tablet (latest drivers)  I have a button on my stylus set to right-click. Since the last few PS updates whenever I create a path, I cannot right click anywhere on the canvas to select options like fill path, make selection, etc. I used to be able to as this process is almost a habit to me now. Right-clicking anywhere creates a new node which is then the start of a new second path. The only way to select the first path is to right-click on the path itself, which also creates a new anchor point, which THEN gives me the option to fill path, make selection, etc.Another issue is I have multiple artboards in a file. Typically I can select all of the artboards, even deselecting some that aren't needed, I used to be able to right-click and sele

Hola, si alguien me puede ayudar.  tengo una insta 360 y las fotos me gusta retocarlas un poco antes de compartirlas, pero ahora photoshop quito la opcion de 3d panorama esferico, hay alguna forma de seguir editando este tipo de fotos dentro del programa y exportarla sin que pierda sus propiedades de imagen 360°?  

After being apple user for the last 5 years i was so excited to switch to the new S25 ultra and back to android. I have used photoshop religiously every day on apple. Always playing around merging photo's & playing with styles.  I'm gutted that not only is their no creative cloud app! But photoshop is missing more than half its features that are on iOS!! What's going on ? Ios had 2 photoshop apps both with more tools! I can't even layer my work and cut out images.  When is it being fixed ?

Desde minha compra tenho tido problemas no desempenho, sendo assim, com lentidões, travamentos, bugs, glitch na tela, etc. Preciso muita de ajuda, soluções que resolvam isto.Nota: já conferi os requisitos mínimos do meu notebook, conferi que ele atende todos. Since my purchase I have been having performance issues, such as slowdowns, crashes, bugs, screen glitches, etc. I really need help and solutions to solve this.Note: I have already checked the minimum requirements for my laptop and found that it meets all of them. I also changed the performance settings, and honestly, I didn't see any difference 😞 

When I export this as a vector PDF, the character with the pixelated box underneath isnt highlighted. What do i do? What does this mean? Help ME

When saving a project, I named it "Pages3and4_8x10.2" to show the size measurement of the pages. However, it registered the . as the seperation between name and filetype, and accidentally saved my project as a ".2" document.It won't open in photoshop, and I tried a file unzipper but no dice. I also tried changing the name to have ".psd" at the end, but that didn't change anything. Can't upload it to a file converter since .2 isn't a recognized filetype, of course. Is there any way to recover this file? It's for work, so it's important.I feel like a rube for messing this up. never saving periods in file names again. orz

Hello, I was working on project. Two days ago it gaves me a strange message about a text layer issue, when I tried to interact with it, it crashed Photoshop. I succeed to delete the layer and continued working on my project. Yesterday, and until now, I can't open the file at all, it keeps giving me the same message even with all I tried. What can I do ?Thanks.

I am needing to purchase a new computer since Windows 10 is going bye-bye. My question is: With Windows 11, is it best to have 2 hard drives on a desktop computer, or will Photoshop run efficiently with just 1 hard drive? (I did look at the recommendations for running Photoshop on the Adobe website.) Please note: I am not a business, but as I get older I enjoy Photoshop as photography keeps my mind and body active. I also don't want the frustrations of a new computer having issues related to the computer system. Thank you,Julius

Photoshop 2025 v. 26.5 is crashing when getting to the "finding system profiles" part of the startup. I have tried the following with no success: 1. Reinstall PS 2. Clearing system preferences (ctrl +alt + shift when starting) 3. Removing all Adobe credentials 4. Used the CC removal tool, removed all preferences, re-installed everything.   Any ideas? Crash reports were submitted under the " account

I literally can't even save a file on my computer.It opens the save dialog in creative cloud and the "on my computer" button won't work. The cancel button won't work.  It says "something went wrong" when opening creative cloud save files with a "learn more" link that takes you to " make sure you're up to date" which the app is. I have to force quit the app and I'm sure the useless Adobe Help team will want to remote into my computer as they do every time to make me uninstall and reinstall. How many damn times do I have to do this every month? This creative cloud bugs are so annoying, it should NOT automatically open save in creative cloud if its so freaking buggy. Adobe please get your crap together. This is one of a HUNDRED issues I've run into in creative cloud.
