It would be highly beneficial to have an option for merged layers to automatically adopt the name of the bottom layer instead of the top layer. This small adjustment would save users valuable time by reducing repetitive renaming steps in workflows with complex layer arrangements. The bottom layer is often the most critical in defining the merged output, especially with adjustment layers or AI-generated layers. Retaining its name for the merged layer would add clarity and efficiency to layer management in complex documents. Thank you for considering this feature! Best regards
I have an idea of a fantastic new license you can offer to people, that use adobe products only rarely. You could charge 1 euro per day for usage of any Adobe apps. For people that use Photoshop few times a year is crazy to pay such a high money for products that they almost never use. Most such amateurs and casual users will install cracked software and they can have viruses because of it. That's bad for them. But you won't earn nothing when users install cracked Adobe apps, so that's bad for you too... So this casual license could have sooo much benefit for causal users and also for you.I don't want to pay such a crazy amounts for Photoshop, I don't want to install cracked software, it's illegal and it have viruses. Which means I don't have Photoshop install on my PC, I am sad... I once bought it for a month, but I then canceled, since I wasn't using it almost never, and it would be crazy to continue subscription .. But I want to have Photoshop, since I want to use it few times a yea
In the script option for Image processor to export bulk images together, there is no option provided to export it as PNG. This is a major lack for this feature. Please update for the same
So I'm not exactly sure if this is a bug or not but there is no right click menu for the selection brush. Every other marking or size changing tool has a right click menu to easily change the tools size, shape, etc. I have to go up to the bar to do this and I'm wondering why its the only tool that makes you do this. ..if this isn't a bug then its an idea to put it in as a feature.
Hi, can you explain to me whether is possible to make bar for generative fill prompt resizable? Prompts today are quite complex and it looks only way to compose them effectively is to do that outside of Photoshop and later copy them into "prompt window" for execution. I guess would be really handy to make prompt window resizeble or "openable" for editing with possibility of saving drafts and executing later after confirming final stage. It will be similar like saving presets for many tools (curves, color adjustment, …) and we can work inside Photoshop. In adition we can create our database of prompts on one place accessible from Ps. — Save and/or execute!
I am a concept designer who occassionally works on Illustrator but mainly Photoshop.Photoshop started making good and bad changes, but Fill feature is critically to me.please see below for my "Closed" line drawing I did with the brush.I am trying to color this object in dark gray.apply paint bucket inside the drawing.. TADA! What is the point of paint bucket tool here?.. applying background color to the entire layer?is that it? Is this a glitch? Many designers, digital painters I know like to block in the vague shape with the Paint Bucket tool. This change fundamentally changes the way I work, and simply adds multiple more steps to the painting process. I am not saying the Photoshop and all its features must stay as it always has been. But please, do not deteriorate what's already good. I already have seen complaints about the "Fill" function when I arrived here, I 100% agree with the professional photographer who asked for restoring Fill function.
After using the adjustment brush (example Curves to lighten) on part of an image and then wanting to make a second adjustment using the same control but at different settings (example Curves to darken) the only way to make a completely new curves adjustment with this tool is to use the button in the contextual menu bar. The "NEW Adjustment" option should also be in the options bar!
The subject line says all in a nutshell. With every new PS release, while features are appreciated, the stability/speed suffers big time. Crashes, hangs, not working menus ('Export As' looking at you), failing video drivers - it's all getting worse. I'm using AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT GPU with 8GB RAM, fully compatible and supported, latest drivers for W11, always factory-reset before install, yet the instability is huge.Adobe, please work with AMD and other vendors, try to iron out the video bugs. I really feel I'm running a beta-grade software, at best.Brief PC specs:PS v26W11AMD Ryzen 7 3700X32 GB RAMAMD Radeon RX 6650 XTM.2 nvme drive
Suggestion: Panning with the middle mouse button. This is a common interface option with many creative tool apps. Should be an option right beside scroll wheel to zoom!
See my screen recording.https://vimeo.com/1025737939/0ca76c6e16?share=copy I don't want my options for quality to be from 1 to 7. We are grown up professionals using this software. I want to be able to choose a detailed quality setting to reach a near-exact targeted file size. If I want an image to be 50k, let me get it there. You took this feature away a couple years ago and I assumed you'd get enough flack from the users that it'd come back, but I guess not.
Ok so it seems like cinemegraphs in photoshop should be automated. Could you create something where we can do this automatically or nearly fully automated with simple inputs? Or a way we can do it automatically wih Ai? Also the tweking of cinemegraphs I feel like can be automated as well. The objectives usually remain the same and people with insanley complex objectives can continue to do it the regular way. I just feel like with a straight video import ai should be able to take care of the rest.
I (and I assume many others) use Photoshop to draw various images/cartoons/comics and unfortunately, even with adding various details, and even with smoothing for pen tools, my drawings still look amateur.I was wondering if Adobe AI could fine-tune my (and others) comic/cartoon drawings to improve them slightly so they look more professional. I am not looking for Adobe Generative Fill because that feature1) creates items from scratch (instead of subtly fine-tuning what I already drew), and2) creates photorealistic images (instead of the comic/cartoon styles that I am using). This would be a more subtle tool and a finishing touch instead of Generative Fill doing most of the work. This would be ideal because a subtle touch would hopefully ensure that the resulting images are still owned by their respective artists (who did most of the work) rather than the AI tools that created it (and the vague legalities regarding AI-created art). In addition, since this tool would be sub
Currently, in PS, the user can only load one selection at a time. So, if you want to load, say, two selected areas, you need to use Load selection twice, with the second one having, for example, an "Add to Selection" operation. This would be made a lot easier, if, for example, the Ctrl key could be activated to selected multiple items from the saved selection list. An even better facility would be the ability to load combinations of selections using any of the currently available operations assigned to any of the individual named selections in the available list - in this way, for example, it would be possible to load Selection #1 with a plus sign and Selection #2 with a negative sign - to load Selection #1 minus Selection #2. This would be much quicker than the current approach which requires the second load selection to use a "Subtract from Selection" operation. It would also allow, say, 3 or more named selections to be quickly loaded in
Hi guys I want from photoshop to show me a preview for each font as a connected word not a seprated letters ; you can see what i mean inside attached photo .. please help me to fix this 😞
ADOBE when will you get this into the software?
For the "Distraction Removal with Remove tool" in Photoshop Version 26 and above I would request that also Photos that are shot through a window or glass may cleaned up. You all know that scene you sit in a cafe and outside n the street something amazing happens and you want to make a quick photo of that through the big window, but then you realize that there are reflections and smudges on the glass and the photo does not look good. it would take hours to clean that up ... OR ... have something in Photoshop for that, please. Here are also some examples:
Say I'm processing a series of files, making similar but not identical changes to each file. I'll probably have a source directory and a destination directory that's common throughout the sequence of operations. These directories might be on different drives and with differing levels of hierarchy. This necessitates a relentless repetitious sequence of mouse clicks as I change from input file locations\ to output file location. It'd be useful if PS could learn what I was doing and helped me out here. Perhaps before I started, I could identify the two locations and PS could remember and use them automatically until I told it to stop.
A feature I've wanted for a long time in Photoshop is session restore, which some other image editing programs have. More than just a list of recent files opened, this feature would attempt to re-open files that were open when Photoshop was last closed, and also try to position each file's window/tab like they were when Photoshop was closed. This enables a user to stop work for the day, close Photoshop, even restart their computer, then seamlessly resume work later when Photoshop is reopened. This can be big QoL for users that often work with a lot of files open at the same time.Of course, files would still need to be saved before Photoshop could successfully close. For example, this test Photoshop session depicted below could potentially be restored if Photoshop was closed then reopened (all files would of course need be saved first): 🙏
Please make sure the "Save as" function includes the option of .JPG without having to flatten your image first. I panel artwork for large format printing and this is an essential feature that exists in the normal version of photoshop, but is not available in the beta version. Ok, thanks Amy Jordan
When I try to place text in an exact location on an image in Photoshop and I position it where I want it and release the mouse the text almost always moves, even if only a tiny bit. It would be so helpful if there were a keystroke I could use while placing the text (like the shift key for example) that when I release the mouse would leave the text in exactly that position.I have conracted Adobe asking if there is such a feature and, as of now, there isn't. Adobe please consider adding this feature to the next iteration of Photoshop! I'm sure many of use would find it very helpful! My case number for this call is ADB36933521T1J1BestGretchen McMahon
Nearly all other serious digital paint programs have some kind of randomized image "stamp" feature (Painter calls it Image Hose). This is seriously lacking in Photoshop. I can see a very sooth implementation by extending the Clone Stamp tool. You already have multiple clone sources - in its simplest implementation, it should be fairly straightforward to allow the user to define multiple clone sources and then randomize which one is being used each time the brush is "stamped" onto the layer. Add angle and size jitter and other randomization features like we find in the brushes palette and we're off to the races. A better user experience would be to define "stamp sets". This would require a new palette which would open into a kind of "tree view". For each Stamp Set you could add multiple pixel-based images, similar to the way you define brush presets. Their thumbnails would then be visible, indented under the Stamp Set in the "tree view". When a particular Stamp Set is selected, you have
Why can't Adobe preview .psd files with thumbnails in PC File Explorer???This slows down finding files so much!! And I don't want to have to open Bridge, so solve this; Bridge is too slow (memory hungry) and not intuitive enough. Blender can even preview .PSD files—they are not even an Adobe product, and it's free! They have figured it out. Why can't Adobe? What are we paying for?!?
Hey. I have been using Photoshop for nearly 17 years now (I was a teenager back then). I worked on Photoshop 5.5, CS4, CS5, CS6 and now CC. And I feel like filters (especially the Filters Gallery) really need an update. The filters do work but: • Some filters don't really suit today's needs. I mean, I'm sure other users might find these filters great for their use but I really feel like they're outdated. I wish we could have some of these filters updated (thinking of Mosaic for instance. The tiles are recognizable at first glance and they feel like it's been made in Photoshop 5) • Some filters (for instance Charcoal and other Sketch Filters) use the foreground and background colors. But whenever we open the Filters Gallery, we can't change them. We have to close the window, change the colors and retry. Sometimes my colors are inverted but it's impossible to switch. Of course, there are easy turnarounds. Usually, I make my colors black an
Dear Photoshop Team,I hope this message finds you well. As a dedicated user of Photoshop, I would like to propose an enhancement that could significantly improve the user experience: the addition of graphics acceleration support for older GPUs.Many users rely on older hardware due to budget constraints or specific needs, and the current lack of graphics acceleration for these devices limits their ability to utilize Photoshop's powerful features effectively. By enabling support for older GPUs, users would be able to have a better experience with the software.Specifically, if this graphics acceleration is added for zooming and panning the canvas, it could greatly enhance speed and ease of use. It seems that Photoshop does not fully utilize the available hardware capabilities, and this feature could help improve user productivity.Thank you for considering this suggestion, and I hope it can help enhance accessibility and performance for all users.Best regards,AA
i am lomo creative owner. i purchase adobe photoshop & light room Photography plan. But Apart from Durga Puja, I could not use photoshop because of other festivals.
