Photoshop Elements

I just bought Photoshop Elements 2024...quite the upgrade from PE9 (which I used for years).  Fairly easy to move between the two.  HOWEVER, when trying to type my text doesn't appear until I hit the checkmark...which makes it difficult to type longer things.I have gone through the internet to find an answer and one that they seem to say works is to hit EDIT>PREFERENCES>PERFORMANCE (and then do something in performace)...however, whenever I hit on performance my Photoshop freezes!  I have to remove it on task manager.I use my PE a ton and am needing an answer...anything? 

This function has stopped working - it worked fine the last time I used it. When I click on Places I get a message saying "Sorry, we couldn't find that page" and it directs me to the Adobe homepage. I'm on a Mac and I am connected to the internet. Any ideas?

I want to upgrade PH Elements, but my computer has intel  4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 Processors. The rest is ok Ram 32 GB etc. Will it work, or do I need a new computer? 

Mac running Sonoma. Stopped crashing after I immediately stopped the download process and changed the download file from /Pictures/Adobe/Other Photos.I was trying to access my photos app where I have 1000s of personal photos.I had no problems downloading photos from a file of photos downloaded for a course on using Photoshop Elements.But there seems no way to access the Mac photos app.I sent the crash reports to Adobe, but who knows if that will do any good. Very frustrated. I bought this app to be able to edit the photos in my photos app but this doesn't seem possible.   

I have a new laptop with PSE 2024.  My photos are on an external hard drive organised into folders for each year with sub-folders for different subjects.  What is the easiest way to import this structure into the Organiser so that each year is an album and each sub-folder subject becomes an album within the year's album please?

I've been using PSE for many years. Just started using PSE 2024. My general workflow is to start in Organizer, select photos, select Editor button, modify photos, and save.QUESTIONSThe first screen gives me an option to save in version set. I do not want to save versions most of the time. Can I change the default setting for version sets?The second screen asks me "do I want to replace an existing file". Of course I want to replace the file, if I didn't I would have said Close, Do Not Save. Is there some setting to change this behavior? 

The organizer opens to cover the full screen.  Note that it isn't a maximized window, it is just the size of the screen.  Most buttons (e.g. the Import button) are not responsive.  If I click the maximized toggle in the upper right hand corner of the window, it loses it's mind.  The window moves about 1/3 of the way down the screen, and portions of the window are now off screen.  Then each time I click, it alternates between full screen and about half the screen.  None of the buttons work. One interesting note is that organizer screen covers the task bar (which is at the bottom of the screen in Windows 11).  No other app does this except a video player in full screen mode or PowerPoint in presentation mode.  My taskbar is not set to autohide, so it should always be visible. What's really interesting is that I turned on a screen recorder in order to send a video to this group.  The resulting video file from the screen recording

HiI purchased PSE 14 cd back in 2016(ish). Now trying to downlaod on to new laptop using serial number. I get error message saying "this serial number is already in use". Any ideas?Mozart

Photoshop Elements 2024: How to get the latest version of CameraRaw. Menu Help Update cannot be clicked. Download CameraRaw only downloads version 16.0.0.1677 which Fuji X100VI does not support.  

Bent from Norway here. I am a keen user of Photoshop Elements 2024, and follow a lot of training videos on Youtube. In these they use the left or right bracket to increase or decrease the brush size. I have a Norwgian keyboard layout, and the bracket keys don't exist on my keyboard. Do you know whether there is a possibility to assign other keys as shortcuts on my keyboard, for this very useful feature? On my keyboard I can use Optio + 8 or 9 to create the brackets, but they won't work as keys to increase or decrease the brush size. I have been advised by an AI to look for the keyboard editor under the Edit-menu, but no such item is present there. The AI also asked me to look for a "Workspaces" item under the window menu, but nope ... it doesn't exist. Is there something I need to download, or doesn't it exist? Best regards, BentNorway

Where does Adobe Photoshop Elements store the faciale recognition data likefacename as I enter it in the face recognitionphoto or filename of the respective facecoordinates of the respective face, x, y, width, height or percentage of width/height of the photoI found a sqlite-database in the catalog with the main tables tag_table and media_table. Between the two tables are to intermediate tables face_segment_to_tag_table and face_segment_info_table, but I am not sure, whether this is the data I look for.Any comments on this or further hints?My aim is a report like this:facename; path/filename, x, y, %width, %heightor similar.Regards an thanks, AA  

So my computer is dead now with my photoshop in it, so I bought a new computer and I still have my Photoshop Element disk.I tried to install it to my computer but its asking me for a serial number but I dont know it,its been years.I thought signing in adobe would remeber me purchasing it and I can install it on my new PC.Is there a way to receive it?

Is Elements 2024 Organizer compatable with the iCloud?

Hello, I can no longer open a large part of my photos in Photoshop Elements. I keep getting an error message that there is a program error, how is this possible and how can I solve this problem.

     I've seen this posted before but not seen a good answer.  I have a trial version of PSE 15.0, 20160905.m.97630 x64  on Win 10 Pro, 64 bit. Toshiba Satellite laptop, 16GB RAM. I tried resetting general preferences, though I had never touched them.  In Guided Edit, in the zoom burst effect the add focus area button doesn't work.  Similarly, in the tilt shift effect, the analogous button, modify focus area, doesn't work.  By doesn't work, I mean nothing happens when I click the button and draw a line on the photograph as directed.  I'm pretty sure I'm using the tool correctly, as I've used it in several previous versions of PSE.  TIA, Rick

The problem: On reinstalling PSE 21 on a new computer, the most recent 12 months of photos are missing from Organizer. Details: I've been using PSE since about version 9. My Windows 10 PC died suddenly (but not while I was using it). My new PC (Dell XPS 8960) runs Win 11. I installed PSE 21, which I had been using before. Dropbox downloaded my Catalog folder, with all files, including catalog.pse21db. When I started PSE Organizer, everything was there--except everything I added since March 9, 2023--over a year of photos are gone. I'm not talking about gray boxes with photos that need to be reconnected because the new install has a different file path. (There is that problem, but that can be handled). There are just no photos (or gray boxes) for the past year's imports and cataloging. What I've done: I went into Dropbox and restored an older version of catalog.pse21db and downloaded that.  Same result. I KNOW that the last time I used PSE on my now-dead PC everything was

I used the eraser tool and got this wierd blurring action and not the checkerboard squares. I saved and closed the file.  Then I researched the community posts and learned that I should have unlocked the background layer.  So I opened the file, unlocked the background layer and tried again.  Nothing happened and no checkerboard squares.  Can this be solved?  I saved a few prior versions, but don't want to start over.

I have used Elements11 for a long time, but recently lost access after I had to return my laptop to Microsoft. I need Elements, so started a trial of Elements12. One of the things I loved in Elements11 was the Auto Haze Removal function, but was aghast when I discovered it was not available in elements12 when I downloaded a trial version. Is that the case? If so, can I still buy Elements11?

Installation nouvelle sur iMac Sonoma 14.4 24Go :Elements semble fonctionner parfaitement, sauf les "réglages, general" (idem pomme K) il est impossible de metrre un fonds sombre, ce qui fonctionne parfaitement dans Organizer (que je n'utilise pas). We've been using Photoshop Elements 2018 for Windows for a long time (obviously). My wife upgraded her laptop from Windows to Macbook Air. Since she's used to Photoshop Elements, I thought about getting an upgrade on Elements but from Windows to Mac.  Wondering if the backup we have from the Windows 2018 version of Photoshop Elements will correctly import into the 2024 Mac version of Photoshop Elements. Any idea? Though the Photos app that Apple has seems pretty decent.
