Photoshop Elements

I've just purchased and installed the upgrade from PSE2022 to 2023, running on Windows 11 21H2. When I position the mouse on the left, right, or bottom of the PSE window, I get the expected double-headed arrow pointer and can drag that edge of the window to resize it. However, I get no such pointer when positioning on the top of the window, and cannot drag to resize it. I can grab the title bar and drag it, and I can position the mouse mouse on either top corner of the window and get the diagonal arrow to drag both top/side at once, but I can't drag the top of the window only. If I open PSE2022, which is still installed, I don't have the same problem with it. I get the double-headed arrow on all sides of the PSE window, and can drag each side individually.

My "UPDATES"  item in help is grayed out.  Can't open Nikon z7ii .NEF files

After upgrading my C: drive to a larger size SSD my Photoshop Elements 6.0 will no longer load.  This is on a Windows 10 system and every other piece of software runs just fine.  Only Photoshop fails.  It is as if it lost the license key. There is no message or screen displayed... it just quits.  Any help?

Guten Tag,aktuell versuche ich Adobe Elements 13 (Einzelplatzversion) auf einem Computer zu aktivieren. Die Einzelplatzlizenz wurde gekauft im Saturn 2014; die Seriennummer wurde mit meinem Adobe Konto verknüpft und wird auch korrekt im Kundenkonto angezeigt. Benutze ich diese Seriennummer für die Aktivierung der Software auf meinem Computer wird angezeigt, dass die Seriennummer nicht aktiviert werden kann.Im Kundenkonto von Adobe ist KEIN Gerät verknüpft. Wie kann ich dieses Produkt aktivieren? 

is this upgrade possible or do I need to buy the full version on Mac with M1 chip

When using the executables for directly opening Elements and Organizer I get, fr lack of a better words, the attached "nag windows" which must be clicked on to access the programs. This is not happening with Premiere Elements. I would like to know how to eliminate these screens. I have tried all of the suggestions in cluded in this link Solved: Starting PSE15 - How to skip the "Welcome to Photo... - Adobe Support Community - 8728393 . Unfortunately nothing works.     

In Guided > Replace Background, there is an option at the end to "Auto Match Color Tone"...which matches the tone of your subject with the background image you added.  However in expert mode, I don't see what it actually changed.  There's simply a Layer mask but I can't find where and how much it adjust the color, tone, etc etc. Basically I'd like to perform "auto match color tone" manually in expert mode without having to go through the Guided menu.  

I shot RAW photo's by mistake and I'm not well versed in editing RAW (yet). I know how to convert them to Jpeg in PSE 2023, but they are still quite large and seem to retain the lack luster apperance of the original RAW photo. I assume I am just repackaging the unedited RAW photos and so they still need editing.. Is there a way to perform a "auto" edit and convert in a batch or do I have to edit each file before converting. Note, I usually shoot RAW+Jpg, just forgot to reset the camera after some experimentation with SD card speeds.Thanks in advance

I used Photoshop elements 12 and it was apparently deactivated by Adobe, which instead of starting the app run an advertisement for an update.However, I am still using the same PC that I used at the time of purchase of elements 12 and there is no reason for me to update the program. Can Adobe legally deactivate my older version?

I have noticed that Nikon Nef raw files converted to PSD files are about twice as large as those converted to TIF files. What is stored in the PSD files that's not stored in the TIF?

I am trying to use Gaussian blur.  I lasso it and all but when I go to Gaussian blur it says it cannot it as no pixels are selected.  I see Feathering pixels but no place to do this.  I have done this before quite a bit but not for a long time - PS 12.  How can I get in and use Gaussian blur?  Thank you very much.

I am using Elements 2019 and the Lasso tool.  I have an image that has two different sections that I want to select and remove.  I can select one section with no problem.  When I hold the shift key down and select the second area, the marching ants appear but disappear when I release the shift key.  How do I select both areas?Thanks,Mike

In the meantime, I am using a trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 and I am entertaining the idea of buying a full version. However, doubts are raised by the daily report "Elements Organizer encountered a problem and needs to close". I submitted the generated report in this form and nothing happens. So I don't know if I can install the mentioned SW on my PC. The PC has a standard configuration and OS Windows 10 updated.Please advise.     {Title edited by Moderator}

Just bought PSE-2023. Used PSE 2020 before.Difference is the brightness of the workspace (in Expert), which is too bright in PSE 2023. The workspace of PSE 2020 is much darker, which is easier for the eyes. I searched manuals for clue if this is adjustable, but can't find any. Can the brightness be adjusted ?With workspace I mean the desktop or main screen within PSE 

Here is what's happening. APE is closed. I have copied lots of video clips from my camera to a folder in my PC. When I next open APE, I find all the video clips have been added to my catalog. I don't want this to happen as I only use APE for photos. My videos are stored in another system. Clearly I have a switch somewhere that is watching for the video clips to be added to the machine. How do I stop this? I would prefer to manually add any clips or photos to the catalog.

I have tried to post this question three times, now.  Each time before something happened to shut me down.  Do not know what.  The problem is that I have downloaded Photoshop Elements 2023 and find that the format has changed significantly from the 2021 version I was using.  I just moved and my computer did not survive.  I replaced the computer and was unable to reload the 2021 version.  I had the routine down for enhancing my photos with the 2021 version, but that has gone by the wayside with the 2023 version.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  My old brain isn't too friendly with all the new technology.  I really prefer the 2021 format.

 Hallo zusammen, ich nutze Photoshop Elements 2019 und habe heute Camera Raw in der neuesten Version (14.5)auf meinem PC installiert.  Photoshop zeigt mir jedoch weiterhin nur die veraltete Camera Raw-Version an.Auch ein Upgrade auf 14.5 ist nicht möglich. In der alten Version wiederum kann ich keine RAW-Dateien aus der neuen Kamera bearbeiten. Was kann ich tun? Vielen Dank!!

How to fix pixelated font on Photoshop Elements?

I just installed Photoshop Elements 2022 a few days ago. It worked for a few days.Then when I started it, all of the menu desciptions were missing but it did load the image. I restarted and it worked fine.Now I get theCould not initialize Photoshop Elements because of a program errorI am running Windows 10 with all the latest updates. I have plenty of disk space and memory (24 GB). I did the Ctrl, Alt, Shift trick. That did not work. The Organizer works and Elements 9 runs fine.
