Photoshop Elements

Find by file name is confusing. I type in a speifice file name and ext and it gives me 15 to 20 file that have every varyation of the file name I gave it. I only want the one.  Is there a way to search they way windows explorer does. That is is returns only the matching file. Thanks,

I upgraded my iMac to mac os Monterey but my 2020 photoshop element software doesn't work anymore. I reinstalled the software and I saw an error now. Do I upgrade to the 2022 photoshop element?

Hi,   I lost my SSD drive "H:" where I had install Photoshop Element 2020. I tried to reinstall it on another internal drive and i got this error message : error code 176. I searched the forum for this error and I diddn't found help for Photohsop element 2020. My PC is an Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU supported by AVX, SSE4.1 not listed. Will elements 2022 work?SS.

Is it possible to have two installations of PSE2022?Two different computers?

Recently installed Photoshop Elements 2020 on a new MS Surface 3 laptop with Windows 10.  When I create a slideshow,  it goes immediatly to preview. The window with the icons for editing does not show up. It allows me to save the slideshow but the filename does not show up in projects. I've reinstalled the program and made sure that all software updates are current.  Problem still persists. Please help me. 

I want to create a custom ".aco" file in my color swatch library, and the only way I can figure out how to do that is take the "Photo Filter Colors" file (it has the fewest number of existing swatches), create a set of new colors from a photograph with the eye dropper and the bucket, delete all of the original ones, and then save the new set ... which seems way too complicated.  Is there a standard process for creating a new collection?  

How do I move my Organizer files to a new PC? I can move the images, but I need the tags to move also. I have invested too much time to lose this information. I am running Win 10 and using an older version of PSE. I will be upgrading to the current version of PSE. I have looked but not found any options in Organizer to assist with this move. I am new to this Community. What's with all the numbers and letters after my name??Don

In earlier releases of elements there was a way (via the file drop down) to access a file with images in oreder to create a "content sheet" of those pictures/images. The software would bascially read the folder and create layers for each one of the images.  Does anyone know if this is still possible using the editor (NOT the organizer) with the 2022 version of elements?

I'm an artist and I want to be able to use a grid on an image and a grid on a larger canvas in order to match the scale of the image with the scale of the canvas.  I am using Photoshop Elements. My plan is to draw each square of the image onto each sqare of the canvas.  How can I best do that?  Right now the Grids are not in synch. I know the basics of how to resize and how to grid.  I don't get how to make the image fit on the canvas. Thanks 

I'm thinking of migrating from an old stand alone version of Lightroom to PSE (because I don't want the subscription version!!). I've downloaded the trial version of PSE to see how I get on with my 28,000 photos. The question I have is what happens to the edits that have been done in Lightroom? If I include the sidecar files then I get the metadata but what happens to edits please? Will I just get the original files, or the latest edits losing the original? I'm talking mostly jpegs rather than RAW. Thanks very much for any assistance.

I subscribe to Photoshop and LR, but sometimes I like to do some quick editing in Elements 2020. I'd like to use a short type action I created in Photoshop in Elements, but I can't find it in order to copy it in the proper Elements folder. I've Googled for help, and the directory where it's supposed to be doesn't contain it, and a Windows file search of my whole system doesn't locate it either. It shows up without fail on the Actions list, so I'm wondering if it's encrypted somehow or stored in the cloud.

Hi There, I just replaced my computer (Windows 10) and reinstalled Elements 2020. When I go to the place where I ran the last full backup of elements, There is a folder with thousands of files withcatalog.buc.boXXXXX.jpgboXXXXX.jsonboXXXXX.xmpand 1 file boXXXXX.cache.When I start the restore in Elements, I show it the folder but it says there is no XXXXX.tly.All these files were placed in this folder during me last full backup. what am I doing wrong? Where is the XXXXX.tly file. Thanks Roy

Hi. My friend bought couple years ago photoshop with lifetime licence. The Pc with photoshop is still working but we need to replace hard disk because it has a lot of issues. I cant find any information about licence in photoshop. How can we retrive licence, or download again photoshop on new system. Is this working like for example windows. If you need to reinstall your system, you simply reinstall windows, tap your key and finish.  Thank you

Hi you out there,I've got a problem to successfully import files stored on Google Drive to Adobe Elements 2022 Organizer as, after import, the location path of the files is wrong. The drive letter is changed after import (here from "I" to "J"). Programs and versions:OS: Win 10 Pro 64-bit (v 21H2)Program: Adobe Elements 2022 Organizer (v 20.0)Google Drive (v 55.0.3.0) I try to import files that are stored on Google Drive via bulk import (as explained here).Therefore I added Google Drive to "watched folders". The import itself seems to be okay, the video files are imported and thumb pictures are generated. I can work with the files, open them, add tags and so on. Now, after restarting Organizer the following happens:I see all those thumbs, can work with tags inside the catalog but: all files cannot be found anymore because the location path in Adobe Organizer changed. I own Elements 2020. Bought a new personal computer with windows 11 and can't install elements. Get the message that the program is no longer supported. Foreign! Is this correct? Who can tell me what to do.Richard
