Photoshop Elements

Hello. For some reason Text resolution is in pixels, it was an automatic change.  I can not find how to convert the text from pixels back to inches.  Edit>Preferences, only provides an option to convert units/rulers from pixels to inches. Thank you.

Adope elements 2022 - the organiser - wont start or report that there is a failure in display driver. ve tried to uninstall elements 2022, run the cleaner tool and reinstall. i gets the same problemEditor works and premier elements also worksCan you help??

Hi, I installed Photoshop Elements and Premiere 2021 in October just before the 2022 version came out. At the time everything seemed to be working. Then I got really busy at work so I didn't touch it for a while. Meanwhile, I updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I also bought a book that came with a library of about 500 MB of pictures (about 250 pictures). Now I have a bit more time but when I try to start the organizer I only get a black screen. If I click on it, I get a white screen and Windows tells me it's not responding and asks me if I want to close it or let it run.My computer has a Intel core i9-9900K CPU at 3600GHz (8 cores), 32 GB of memory. In Task Manager, I see it is using between 8% and 9% of the CPU, 17.6MB out of 32GB (almost nothing). No significant disk or network access. I have left it running for a couple of day. No changes.I reinstalled. Same thing. Anybody has a similar problem?Any idea what the cause could be and how to fix it? Tha

Can someone tell me why on Windows 11 when I try to use the moving photos option  The menu that pops up is very small and hard to use?  How do I fix that?  Also notice the issue when using the Nik Collection.  Peg

is so small as to be unreadable on my Yoga 14" screen It was perfect when i was working on it and up came the update message. I cancelled my project ot do the update and then after updating the UI is tiny and unusable now. possible to go back to previous version? Hate it now.

I have upgraded to PSE 2022 from 2018. Why can’t I see “live” results when I use the sliders for Hue/Saturation or Levels? In the older versions, you can move the sliders and see the change take place "live"... now, the only option seems to be to stop moving the slider and wait for the change to show up.  Thoughts?  Thanks!

Hallo an Alle da draussen auf dem Holodeck ;-). Versuche in den "Voreinstellungen" den Punkt "E-Mail" mit einem meiner Mailkonten zu hinterlegen...Allein es klappt weder mit Gmail noch mit Microsoft. Ich bekomme leider vom Dialog nur mitgeteilt, "Versuchen sie die richtige Eingabe"...das kann ich aber nicht zuordnen. Wo ist etwas falsch" Ihr Name" oder "E-Mail-Adresse" oder "Kennwort"? Klicke ich den "Hilfe" Button, lande ich hier....schade... Danke an Euch, die helfen können 😉Schlumpel

I'm interested in doing infra-red photography and have converted my old Nikon D40 by having fitted a IR Filter (720NM). The company that fitted the filter said that because of limitations in the D40 all photos will have a red "tinge" but I can correct this by altering the white balance in PE21However, after importing a sample picture (copy attached) I see in Camera Raw editor I have two options.Under basic is a drop-down menu for white balance none of the options make any significant difference. Further down is a slider for whites but again using this makes no difference other than to reduce the red tinge to a slight pink one.How do I correct this tinge, please?

Hello everybody, I'm new to PSE and am fighting a vexing challenge.  Any project in which I use a layer mask saves with a white masked forground or background leaving the rest of the picture masked.  All images look fine in PSE thus the surprise when I see the saved result. What am I doing that prevents the file from saving 'properly'.  Example file attached

I can't switch modes. e.g. from Guided to Expert.There is no top row showing modes above the menu. Is there a way to activate that top row so I can switch or some other way to switch?  I see nothing in the documentation or help on this

I recently updated the new version of photoshop elements. and there should be a new function in it. namely the free warp tool. however I don't have this in my list which is a shame because I wanted to use it. can someone tell me how this is possible. and if there is anything i can do about it. ps photoshop elements i use on pc

I need to move albums intact from 2013 Premiere Elements and 2018 Elements to 2021 Elements. How can I accomplish this?Thanks

I searched around for this topic for a while, but couldn't find the exact issue I'm having. So, I apologize if it's already been answered. I'm pretty new to Premiere and editing in general. Up until recently I have been editing in 1080p, and just made the decision to start filming and editing in 4k. The issue I'm having suddenly is with pre-rendering my timeline while editing. I do a lot of timelapse, so I learned quickly that the "red bar" on the timelime means you need to render it to get rid of all the choppiness to see the preview clearly. I had no problem with this when I was editing 1080p. But now with 4k, Elements will no longer pre-render. Whenever I try, the playhead will just jump to the beginning of the timelime and auto play. It does appear that exporting will render it like it normally would. I just can't render in my timeline while editing. I've selected "QFHD 16x9 29.97" as my editing preset when opening a new project, which gives me "Red Cinema" as my edi

Just installed Photoshop Elements 2022 Organizer to sort photos and have imported over 130,000 images.  Most are *.jpg files and not huge files.  I'm missing thumbnails in folders.  Prior to using PSE software, I'd put photo in 1 folder by Month/Year and copy the photos for printing to another folder with wider date range (where I'd print).  I'm finding Thumbnails missing from the folder with Month/year but may be in other folder for printing.  I'd like thumbnails for these pictures to show up in both places.  As far as i can tell, I have not turned on any filters.  During the process, I created My Catalog, Optimized, and Repaired it (and backed up just the structure at 13 GB).  This has not fixed the problem.  Should the software be able to display a thumbnail in 2 or more folders if photo is in multipe locations?   Any guidance would be appreciated.

After many years use I’ve suddenly received message “photoshop album cannot run because of missing or invalid registration information. Please reinstall”. But if I Reinstall will the thousands of photos I’ve catalogued in Album still be catalogued, or will I lose them. I know will still have originals in photo files, but don’t want to have to start from scratch transferring them all into Album again! 

Can anyone shed light on the possibility of installing PSE4.0 on my MacBook Air with Big Sur 11.6.2? I used to have it on a MacBook from 2008 which doesn't come back to life anymore. I still have the installation  CD-ROM with a serial number if that helps. I am trying to install from that CD-ROM. <serial number removed> While installing, a message shows up that there was a problem with the installation and that I should contact the manufacturer of the software. The installation cannot be completed.

I went to use File Info on a photo tonight and am being blocked. The error message is "Could not complete the File Info command because the Metadata library could not be loaded."I get the same message on every photo when I try to access the File Info.I have not done anything new or loaded any new software lately. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I'm using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 on Windows 10 Home version 2004 on a Dell PC.I've tried resetting the preferences and uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Same error message.

HiI am new to Photoshop Elements, and I have a question, hope some of you have the answer.I am trying to create some images with uniform canvas size of 1024x1024 and the picture itself should fill 90 % of the canvas size and white is 10% of the canvas size.Is this possible to do in Photoshop Elements? See attached from how its done in Photoshop

Just bought new laptap and purchased PSE 2021 (used to have PSE 2012).  The size of the font of the folder names in the panel on the left hand side in organiser is so small.  Can I fix this?  I tried the resizing to 200% in the Editor which was far too big and didn't fix my issue in the Organiser.  Has anyone successfully managed to fix the Organiser issue?  Is there anyway of scaling the font size to a comfortable size to view rather than too large or too small?  Otherwise I fear PSE is going to be unusable on my new laptop. 

Does anybody know the default location of the backup in Photoskop Elements 2022 - and how to change this location? 

Question regarding the Organizer - Albums - Album OrderI use this constantly.  soemtimes I wish to move the pictures for my website.  In Album Order, it sometimes shows numbers on the left hand side, but these quickly just disappear.  How Can I show the numbers of the photos.  Thanks.

In Elements 2020, I am trying to upload HEIC photos from my iPhone.   The instructions said to download an extension, which I did, and then clean media cache with Elements closed.  I don't know how/where to do this.  HELP!   [Moving from generic Start/Help forum to the specific Program forum...
