Photoshop Elements

I was previously using 2019 version. All was fine. I decided to upgrade. The 2021 version by comparison is now so slow. It seems to have to connect to the internet site before you can open the Photo Editor. What is going on here Adobe?  Why have you changed it in this way? Very disappointing!!!

I'm using Photoshop Elements 2019. I need to create a custom text box shape on a scrapbook page then I need to add text within the custom shape. I need to "draw" the shape of the text box so that it goes around elements on the page.  I cannot find a good tutorial in PSE to do this. I've seen PS tutorials but not PSE.

When I try to install the NIK suite to PSE 2021 I get a message to close PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe. Can't figure out how to do that. 

Is PSE 2021 written over PSE 2018 or is it a separate stand alone program? 

I've tried to deactivate software on my old CPU and load Elements onto my new. When I load my software, I get serial number is used by too many computers. I only have used this serial number on two computers.

I have Elements 21 operating on Big Sur.  I'm trying to position a photo at the top of the paper but having deselected the centre image box and put in the dimensions from the top of the page I canot see the repositioned image as once it moves outside the blue image locator in the centre of the page the image disappears.  This was so easy with Elements 6 as once the dimensions were entered the preview showed the relocated image straightaway.  Why can't I see the relocated image?  How is this an improvement?Has anyone else experienced this problem?  Regards,    

I have Elements 12 and would like to download a trial of 2021. Will installing the trial of 2021 change the catalog and prevent me from going back to using Elements 12 if the newer Elements doesn't work right?  Or should I make a new temporary catalog in 12 and import a few dozen photos into it and then have Elements 2021 open that temporary catalog?

I upgraded from 15 to 2021 on iMac, thinking I could add IPad as second device.  However, seems I have to but another copy of product.  I would rather use my iPad as the main device, so how do I swop?  Or is it possible to use on both.  

When working with "UnNamed" faces, I frequently look at the Media that Organizer associates with a face so as to positively identify the person.  Many times I add or confirm the name of that and possibly other persons in those media.  When I return the the grid showing the faces of "UnNamed" faces, the image above takes the place of the face of the person with whom I am working.  My searches for an answer are probably unsuccessful because I'm using the wrong terminology in calling this image a "Placeholder"..  So, chances are this question may been answered in other threads here, and I have missed them.  However, I have perused all illustrations in the online Adobe Elements Organizer, Help and tutorials" and haven't spotted this image, nor could I even find the use of  the term "UnNamed" in that source - which is the very term Organizer displays above the faces of the "UnNamed". So, am I doing something wrong?  And, can the "Placeholders" be dele

Kann mir jemand genau sagen wie unter Windows das aktuelle RAW 13.3 PlugIn in Elements 2021 installiert?  Der Hinweis von Adobe auf diese Installation funktioniert so wie beschrieben nämlich nicht. Die angegebenen  Dateipfade existieren nämlich nicht.

Hi! I need the minimum Camera Raw plug-in version of 12.2 to process RAF files on Photoshop Elements 2019. I've spent hours to find a workable answer but with little luck. Is it or isn't it possible to update the present Camera Raw (11.4.0.273) to 12.2 or newer? I've tried using the DNG converter, but I'm not very confortable with it. A Camera Raw update would fix the problem more effectively.  Thank you!

I am using an old version of Adobe Photoshop Elements which does not have the textstyle Imprint MT Shadow. What about the latest version of the program?

I usually have no problem reconnecting files, however it has become a big problem lately. The error says "cannot reconnect file" "file already in catalog". I have browsed and found the other file, but it still will not reconnect. Dreadful ? mark will not go away.

I have used 8 for many years.  I just got 2021 because I got a new computer.  I've had a stroke so things are a little slow but I can't get it to do what I want done.  In 8 under expert I could click and it would show several things I could do.  I used this alot.  It had a color bar and colorization bar that I could adjust.  Now I don't know how to get to that.  I don't know how to get to where I can change the color of a scrapbook paper.  Can someone help me? 

I’ve been using the Elements Organizer in various versions going back to Photoshop Album some twenty-ish years ago in different computer generations.  For years now, I’ve had a PSE 6 catalog, which has worked fine.  Now, I am trying to move that PSE 6 Catalog from a Windows 7 computer to PSE 2021 on a Win10 computer.  I did this via backup and restore. I started by reconnecting, optimizing and repairing the PSE 6 catalog on the old computer before running backup.  All well. The problem came with the restore on the new computer (to an external HD).  I’ve tried two different ways to restore, but both are creating problems. If I allow PSE to flatten the folder structure down to the final folder, then the new catalog comes out messed up.  This is because many of the final folders had the same name even though under different trees.  For example, I might have had a final “good” folder under a “2010 10 07” folder and a “2010 11 09” folder, et

I have Photoshop Elements 8 but it will not start, I keep getting the error message about some licensing issue. I've tried the suggestion others with the same problem have gotten, but the Adobe Licensing Repair Tool does not work. I downloaded it and started it up but it just froze. I think the tool itself is outdated too.I'm working on a Mac.Any help would be great.

I recently purchased a new laptop, an HP Envy x360 with a 15 inch screen and a 1920 x 1080 resolution. I noticed while working on an image in photoshop elements (2021) today that the image appearing in the program at 100% scale was significantly smaller than what the actual file is. then realized that everything in my photoshop is pretty small. Icons, fonts, etc.When looking for solutions I attempted:Went to Photoshop > Properties > Compatibility > Change Settings for All Users > Change high DPI Settings > Checked Override high DPI scaling behavior + changed scaling performance to System. This only made everything blurry and awful. Went into my computer's system settings for Display > Scale and Layout and it is currently set to 125% which is comfy for everything else that I use on the computer. When I changed it to 150%, everything on my computer became way too big, and everything in Photoshop remained the same size. (Too small.)When I changed the

I am having a problem importing photos using my HP Scanner.  Scanning is not working and Elements software totally freezes up.  I have to shut down computer to restart anything. 

It won't open and gives me an Error 150:30 message. What is this? How do I fix it?
