Photoshop Elements

Long time user but rank amateur:Working with some old photos and some of the guided effects. I want to colorize an old photo however in Elements 2025 it appears with the left half of the photo as a "ladder" effect of pale gray lines top to bottom while the right half is "normal".I tried to include an example but when I previewed this query, the photo appeared "normal". This clutz thanks you for any help provided.

Could you please provide a simple way to add a hand written signature to photographs?  As an artist I would like to add my signature to my digital artwork.  I've seen quite a few video, but they are older and not clear at all.  Thank you.

Im Juni hab ich eine Abo für drei Jahre abgeschlossen und mit die beiden Programme auf meinem PC installiert. Als ich sie jetzt öffnen wollte, kam die Meldung, dass die Lizenz ausgesetzt sei und ich sie neu aktivieren könnte. Die Verlinkung führt mich dann zu einer englischen Seite, die mir vorschlägt, eine deutsche Seite herunter zu laden. Geh ich auf diesen Link erscheint "Seite nicht gefunden". Wie kann ich die Programme aktivieren? In meinem Konto sind die Programme auch gar nicht als ABO aufgeführt. Da ist lediglich die Rechnung von Juni 2025. 

im planning on buying a R6MKll mirrorless.  i currently use PSE 2020 and love it for what i do.  unfortunately, the new capture mode is c3 and elements uses c2.  can't use RAW in 2020 with the c3.  i know there is a patch but have no idea how to get it.  if i cant use raw, im not going to buy the new camera system.  any help is appreciated (im 80 yrs old so please keep it simple to understand)  thank you,   tom kimberley

My software started crashing each time I tried to create a photo collage.  I uninstalled the software and need to reinstall.  What is the process?  Thanks

how can i import text into an elements file that has an image open in the file and be able to manipulate both

I want to use Photoshop Elements (PE) 2025 to organize and access photos related to my wife’s genealogical project. I have a few questions.I will install PE on my MacBook Pro.Can I load my photos on an external hard drive and use PE Organizer to import the photos to the Organizer Catalog on the Mac?If so, will the photos be duplicated on the Mac internal hard drive?Or will Organizer Catalog use links to the photos on the external drive?Or can the Organizer Catalog be placed on the external drive? If so, how?I don’t want the photos to be duplicated (defeating the purpose of using the external hard drive).Thanks

Yesterday I purchased the Photoshop Elements 2025, long time user. I attached the cable to download photos from my Iphone, and when I choose Import from Camera or Card reader, the source says None Detected.  I have tried this several times with no change. Please help me. Thank you.

I'm trying to replace a face with another face  in an image in Elements 24 and so took a picture from my photos with the face I wanted to use, selected it using the lasso etc tools, then copied it into into a new image using the "image from clipboard" option under file.  So both images were open in the bin and I moved the new face image onto the image with the old face using my mouse.  It pastes just fine, and shows as the new face on top of the first image but without a bounding box to change its size. And it frustratingly won't move so that I can superimpose it over the original face.  What do I need to do to get that to move, and so that it has a bounding box to change its size?  I don't do this kind of thing in elements very often so am pretty clumsy at it.  Any advice appreciated.  Thank you

Ich habe gestern den Umstieg von Photoshop Elements 2021 auf die Version 2022 vorgenommen (inklusive Premiere Elements 2022). Leider musste ich feststellen dass Photoshop Elements 2022 die Schrift für die Menüs viel zu groß darstellt. Sowohl im Organizer 2022 als auch in Premiere Elements 2022 tritt dieses Problem NICHT auf. Vermutlich hat das etwas mit HiDPI-Monitoren zu tun - ich verwende einen 4K Monitor. Die verschiedenen Einstellungen dazu sowohl in den Photoshop Voreinstellungen als auch die verschiedenen HiDPI Einstellungen von Windows können das Problem nicht lösen. Zur Klarstellung: NUR die Inhalte der Menüs werden zu groß dargestellt, die Menüzeile ganz oben ist in Ordnung (siehe meinen Screenshot).In der Version 2021 gab es dieses Problem ebenfalls nicht.Es gibt auch schon einen Beitrag im Forum in englischer Sprache ohne eine brauchbare Antwort bzw. Lösung.Siehe auch meinen Screenshot.Wie kann das Problem behoben werden?Gruß aus WienJohannes

Add photo to picture  Floating Documents must be allowed for this to work! Click Edit > Preferences > General Ensure that “Allow Floating Documents In Advanced Mode box” is checked.  To prepare the photo for addition by removing background In Guided Mode, drag and drop photo into Photo Bin Select “Special Edits” from Toolbar Select “Replace Background” Icon 1. Click on “Select Subject” at right of screen 2. Click on “None” 3. Save as uncompressed PNG fileCaution: Do not save as JPEG!  Switch to Advanced Mode Drag and drop background photo into Photo Bin Select File > Place > filename of photo Size and place photo on background and click on check mark Click on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner of the main screen Click on Flatten Image Save the displayed photo in your desired format. 

Windows 11,  Elements Organizer 2024. When facial recognition doesn't tag a person, I use "Mark Face" , select the person's face and enter their name.  On a number of instances, Organizer creates a new Tag for that name, even though that name already appears in the Tags list.  Spellings are identical.  In another post "Duplicate Keywork Tags" the advice given is to select both (and in my case, sometimes three) duplicate tags by using the CTRL key.  Then right click and in the context menu use "Merge Keyword Tags".  No such choice exists.  There are three choices... "New search using selected tags", "Add to search", and "Apply to selected media". So, how do I merge duplicate tags?

How do i  free up my disk spase  when its full , whats  the most  direct way to do this, as i still have 216   MB  of free space , why wont it  run 

I'm having difficulty tranferring a photo to a sketch using Photoshop Elements 2022, my attempts using on line help and you tube have been disapointing,   need help moving forward   [Mod: Moved to the Photoshop Elements forum]  

I have thousands of files now that I have imported with P. E. v2022,. that put a different number on .jpg and raw files.  They were the same in previous versions.  I got a fix from a chat, but the menu references to make the fixes to not exist in my v2022.  I am trying to get a clean Catalog before importing to my latest version of Photoshop Elements.

I am running PSE 2023 and Window 11. My photos are saved on my c drive and when I went to save an edit it showed my the c drive folder.However following the latest Windows 11 update when I go to save as it defaults to One drive which I don't use. I then have to select the folder with C drive pictures to save it in.  I could not find File Handling under Preferences but Under Preferences it shows Folders for Saved Files C:Users\Nick\PicturesHow do I STOP it defaulting to One drive.?Thanks

I have been using Luminar Neo as a plugin with PSE2024 and, until Luminar's latest update it worked well.Since the update when I try to use Neo as a plugin I get a Windows error message which says 'Windows cannot find 'bad' make sure you have typed the name correctly and then try again'.I wondered if anyone has a similar problem and if anyone has found a solution.

cant sign in to my adobe photoshop elements. I write in my email, then password. Then it loops me back again over and over.I work on an Imac. Can someone help? I did get a new Imac.1) I have shut off computer2) I reset my password

When I add photos to the Organizer, I usually edit them.  When I try to saved the edited version and choose Save As, I get a warning that it has to be saved as a copy.  If I do that, I get two copies of the edited version in the Organizer.  I don't want two copies, actually three since the original is also there.  So, I try to delete one of the copies.  Both copies are deleted, and I'm back to the beginning again.I've used Photoshop for years, and it worked well until this version.  I didn't want to buy it, but had to since my last version is no longer compatible with the latest Mac OS.  Plus, I'm now stuck with a subscription instead of owning the version I just bought.I did a chat with an agent on Friday, August 1.  He couldn't explain or resolve my problems, so after an hour, he said he'd have a "senior agent" call me on Monday, August 4 at 1:00 pm.  I waited all afternoon on Monday for the call, postponing other things to be a available.

I have bought a copy of Photosop Elements 2025 replacing an earlier version.  Using a Mac Desktop.I couldn't get past the blank Installation page, and now I have lost all trace of the application.What should I do?

I bought the software from Amazon and entered in the code to be able to access the .exe download. But, when I go to run it, I get Sign-in Error, Sign in failed. Please retry to load sign-in window again. I am signed in to ADOBE's website, what am I supposed to do now?

Trying to reinstall 2021 Elements on a new Windows 11 laptop. The Elements program runs fine on my 4 year old Windows 11 laptop. I can start Elements ok on new laptop however, when I try to start Photo Editor I receive the Application error mentioned above. Also copied msvcr100.dll and msvcr80.dll from my old laptop to my new laptop windows/systerm32 directory with no luck. After copy I closed Elements and rebooted, same error. 

Hallo,wie so viele brauchte ich einen neuen PC, der Windows 11 fähig ist. Meine Version von Photoshop Elements 2020 (damals gekauft), soll nun auf dem neuen PC nicht mehr lizenziert sein. Ich komme nicht einmal in den Elements Organizer.Was kann ich da tun?
