Photoshop Elements

I have PE 15.  I'm finding that it crashes and shuts completely down (no message, just switches off) as I try and import photos.  It was allowing me to do several batches then quit, but has got to the point that it barely imports any before shutting down.  Any suggestions beside switching to a different product?

When I update a Caption in Organiser then Edit the photo when I return from the edit the Caption has reverted back to the original text.

Having recently purchased Photoshop Elements 2021, I am surprised to discover that it contains the same bug as Elements 13.In the workspace on the right of the Correct Camera Distortion tool, there is a button to rotate images right or left, calibrated in degrees. Not unreasonably, the subdivisions are not minutes, but are decimal and are in increments of 0.06 degree. So the incremental series turning clockwise is 0.06 of a degree, 0.12, 0.18, 0.24, 0.30 etc.So far, so good. The problem arises when wishing to rotate anti-clockwise, when the corresponding series should be 359.94, 359.88, 359.82, 359.76 etc. Unfortunately, someone at Adobe has not heard of the 359th degree and rotating anti-clockwise produces a jump from 0.00 directly to 358.94 and then onwards to 358.88, 358.82, 358.76 etc. This makes fine anti-clockwise straightening impossible, the only solution being to leave the Correct Camera Distortion page and improvise on a trial and error basis with the horizon correcton t

I am running Photoshop Elements 2020 on an iMac with OS Catalina Version 10.15.7.  I have recently started from scratch with creating a new catalog after losing most links from the previous version of elements.  I had loaded and tagged nearly 1400 photos but had not yet backed up the catalog.  Last weekend we had a power loss and on restarting my computer, the organiser showed the catalog on the thumbnail grid page but whenever I double clicked on an image to tag the photo it only shows a grey panel with a white question mark in the middle.  I can still edit the photos in Elements, but I prefer adding the tags in the organiser.After countless hours of searching and reading on this help board, I have tried the following to fix the issue none of which has worked:1.  Optimise the catalog;2. Refresh the catalog;3.  Repair the catalog - cannot find the repair button - possibly because I hadn't backed up the catalog?4.  Create a new catalog and import the s

Photoshop and Premiere Elements has been the worste purchase I have made in a long time. Adobe should recognize by all the unsatisfied customers that they need to fix their issues. My issue is, when I launch photoshop or video editor (premiere elements) it crashes. I was told to ensure windows was updated, it is. Uninstalled the prgram at least 20 times. Still does not work. This has been the biggest waste of money and Adobe should start refunding anyone who has purchased this horrible product. 

Ik heb de Canon EOS 90 D en deze maakt CR3 bestanden. Deze CR3 bestanden kan ik niet uploaden in Elements. Al mijn updates zijn bijgwerkt, maar toch werkt het niet. Wie kan mij verder helpen??? 

It doesn't start on Windows 7 any more since a couple of days. It used to run without problems. I bought it 2014 und have a License Number. When I was asked for the Number, it was rejected as false. Any ideas what is happening?

I have the Lightroom client, but as a hobbyist, I find that it is way more than I need and don't wish to migrate to the LightroomCC version. My plan is to purchase and download Elements and Organizer client and use that software to manage my photo library. However, I have tagged thousands of photos in Lightroom and don't wish to spend tens of hours retagging metadata in Elements Organizer. (I have edited very few photos in Lightroom and am not concerned about retaining edited photo data.)Questions:Can Elements Organizer and Lightroom share the Lightroom catalogue?If so, does Organizer search the metadata in Lightroom catalogue automatically?If not, can Organizer be setup to do this?If I begin tagging new photos in Elements Organizer, will this metadata be saved in the original Lightroom catalogue?Thanks in anticipation of answers. 

I want to transfer my photo tags list from Photoshop Album 2.0 currently on an old PC to a newly purchased version of Photoshop Elements 2020 now residing on a new laptop. How can I do this? Some instructions would be much appreciated. I have already transferred the photos across.

My canvas is blinking (image disappearing) when I'm using the brush tool. What could be wrong? 

In working with the magnetic lasso tool,  I come to realize that a magnetic lasso tool size of 100, for example, is not 100 pixels wide, why is that?

Whenever I change the foreground colour to use with a brush, the square changes to the colour I have chosen, but as soon as I apply the brush, it reverts back to grey. No matter how many times I try to change it, this always happens. The mode in image is set to RGB, not greyscale so I really don't know what to do. I've already reinstalled the program once and that hasn't made any difference. Any suggestions would really be appreciated as I've become really hooked on using this great program and want to expand my knowledge about using brushes but just keep getting really frustrated.

Hi, After losing all my photo folders in Picasa (which I have now removed from my computer) I have managed to retrieve them from my hard drive and loaded them into Photoshop Elements 11. I have dozens of duplicate photos but when I run the "find duplicate photos" section all it does is load the "similar photos" section. How can I remove all the duplicates?

I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and would like to add superscript and subscript text to a poster I am designing. The Ctrl + Shift + + shortcut does not work--I found this shortcut with a google search. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

I'm using Elements for the first time today.  I'm converting a directory with several subfolders from .tif to .jpg.  It looks like the conversion went OK, but the program said there were errors and created a MultipleFiles process log.  I opened the log file to see what happened and it's in CHINESE!  Where is the setting to correct this?  FYI, I tried pasting the text into Google Translate and the output is gibberish. 

Some of my images have a small red, it looks like some sort of timepiece, in the top left hand corner. Does anyone know what this signifies?

I have Photoshop Elements 21 installed on a Dell Precision Workstation running Windows 10 2004, 64-bit with 32 GB RAM and an Intel Xeon processor. I am currently working with a TIF file that is roughly 2.7 GB in size, attempting to straigthen it. When I select the function to perform this action, Elements seems to get hung up at about the last 30% and will not move past that point. Elements goes from using roughly 1.5 GB of RAM idle, to 3 GB of RAM opening the image, to almost 12GB of RAM when attempting to process the image before it comes to a complete stop.. I have already adjusted both the RAM that Elements can use (17GB) and have given it access to a drive that has well over 500GB of scratch disk space to attempt to resolve the issue, but have not had any luck. I have included screenshots as well as system information. Has anyone else run into this issue before?

I often upload many pictures, sometimes 50 or more, to a single Facebook page.  To do this, I open a folder onto Desktop, and then drag a load of pictures from Organizer.  I then upload from Facebook. I wonder if you could do this in a simpler way straight from Organizer.  I can do this for Twitter, just drag up to 4 pictures.  Thanks.  I am in the UK. 

HI I have loaded Photoshop Elements 2021, I have been a elements user for a number of years now. I have a new Apple mac air. the problem I have is when I download photos onto organiser I find that scrolling the photos simply does not happen or when it does it is very slow and alos the spining ball comes up.  Elements is working prefectly without scrooling issues. this is driving me mad. any solution you may have I would be very grateful. thasnk you \

I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue.  The Refine Selection Brush is deselecting instead of selecting in PSE 2018.  I tried reversing the selection to add to the selection, but that did not work either.  I open the same file in PSE 14 and PSE 15, and everything works as it should.  I figure I will call Adobe tomorrow and let them know, so they can fix this issue.  Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
