Is there a way to create an outer glow effect (like the fx in Photoshop) on text?

This bug has been present since about PSE15. It has been discussed recently in two distinct scrapbooking forums. - it's very easy to drag a category over another one, changing it to a subcategory in the keywords panel. - The solution was before to use the 'edit' menu choice for the subcategory and to choose the parent category as 'None - change to a category'. Unfortunately that no longer works.   I have no idea why the bug has never been corrected since that time; there may be some technical issue but in that case, the suggested solution should not been kept.   The workaround I have given is: " My workkaround tested with my Food category:- I created a new category with a similar name (Foods instead of food)- I selected all the keywords in the Food subcategory by highlighting the names, not the checkboxes; then dragged them into Foods- Same for the subcategories of food. You can shift click to select all then drag.After checking that Food was empty, I deleted it. I highly rec

Brand new user to Elements 2020, created my 1st collage image and went to print out and it will not allow me to print an 8x10 photo with anything more than 300 dpi, which is way too blurry an image. I have the print parameters set to 1200 dpi but get an error message stating " due to photo size it will print no larger than 300 dpi". I'm sure I'm missing something somewhere, any suggestions??

I'm so frustrated! I'm trying to save a file with many layers and it won't let me save in TIFF format because it's over 4GB. I tried saving multiple ways (LZW/ZIP and ZIP/ZIP) without luck. I also obviously can't save in PSD because that has a limit of 2GB. I currently have Elements 21 running on Windows 10. I used to work with Elements 11 and NEVER EVER had this issue. I was forced to upgrade because I could not install Elements 11 on my new computer. I assumed I was upgrading, but I'm not understanding why 21 has this limit and 11 doesn't. It's imperitive I save this as a LAYERED file. What can I do?

THIS IS FOR WINDOWS USERSThis is for people who don't want to see any old auto creations for any reason on that pretty start screen.C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\18.0\CAHeadless\Creations\That's the location for auto creations for PSE 2020.  PSE 2021 would be 19, isntead of 18.0.The names are radomly generated:  '7a8433fe-1476-4bd4-b1d6-03655626af55" for example. Just go in the creations folder and delete them

When I start PSE 2020 it has made auto creations. Unfortunatly the software picked pictures of my late wife on our last camping trip in April 2019, 6 weeks before she passed in May. She looks already very ill and I do not want to be reminded of this sad trip and her passing shortly after, every time I open PSE. I have since unchecked auto creations in Media Analysis but it still shows 5 creations and 3 are from pictures I took on that last trip. I tried ot get help from Adobe Support but was passed on from one agent to another and have given up. Can anybody PLEASE HELP, ths is very painful for me to look at these pictures. I am wondering if unsintalling and re-installing PSE 2020 would get rid of those auto creations.Thank you,Wolfgang 

I have just imported bulk files to my new Macbook. Some have arrived in multiples and when I try to remove them I get a message that "analysis is running" and I am unable to get rid of them. Help?

How do I delete photos that I no longer want from Organiser?

I recently reinstaled adobe elements to a different computer and when I put there my serial number it is not working. It either says that serial number is valid or that I am using it already on a different computer - which I do not.

THis must be an easy way to Dis-associate file extensions from the list of files that Photoshop Elements 2021 has. Many thanks

been using photoshop for my photography class, after this last update it wont get past the loading preferences part of the load up screen. i have tried restarting it and and downgrading a version, nothing has worked yet. If there is a way i can get this back up and working again that would be great.

I know PSE allows me to tag pictures by date/time taken, and for pictures taken on a phone or digital camera, that is already done for me. But for older pictures, taken on a film camera, I have to guess at the dates. Not too serious a problem, I suppose, but where it gets annoying is when there are photos on the same date. A wedding, for example. Now I know there was a wedding before the reception, but on PSE that makes no difference, and so as I scroll through my pictures, I see the reception before the events at the church. I suppose a solution would be arbitrarily assign times to the series of photos, but why lock in that X occurred at, say, 530pm, when it could have been hours before or after? Is there a way for me to re-order the pictures without making dates/times up?

I have a video from 1999 in wmv format, which plays fine on computer but once inside PSE there is no audio. Converted it to mp4, sound plays when launched from file explorer, but sound gone within PSE. is there a fix? 

I am trying to install the following products: Adobe Photoshop Elements V14Adobe Premiere Elements V15 These are standalone perpetual licences and I am trying to install these products on a user’s Windows 10 laptop these install fine however when I try and sign in and register the products I am notified of a new update however I am unable to progress as get a "The Update Server is not responding the server might be online or the internet or firewall settings may be incorrect" We are using a corporate network behind a Web Proxy. Both programmes are trying to connect to the internet directly however these will be blocked by our firewall policies. Can anyone please advise how we can get these products working? - I thought I would post on here as there are no support email addresses I could find.  Thanks

Is it possible to set a custom thumbnail in Elements Organizer for video files???

Hi.I run Elements2020 and have done back-up and restore move 46000 item catalogue to a new machine). The process only took a couple of hours but the Face Analysis is now running at only about 3500 per day! So the entire process will run for a week or more.Does back up and restore retain all the face information from the original catalogue?Why is it performing a very lenghty face analysis process?Can I alter the way a full backup is done in the future to avoid this again?Many Thanks.Mike

I would like to move my PSE folders from OneDrive to another location on my PC. Any ideas on how I can do that without losing links to my photos?

How do I super impose one image over another?

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but....Say I have a photo in Organizer that I want to fix. But the fix is beyond Organizer's abilities--e.g., to remove a small defect. So I use the Editor button to open the file in Elements Editor 2021 and Heal the defect.Is there some way this fix can immediately be reflected in the photo I have open in Organizer--the one I hit the Editor button for? The only option seems to be to save the corrected photo in Editor with a new name, and then add that new file to Organizer, yielding what are basically two copies of the same photo (the original and the fixed one). In OS X Photos, when I open a photo in an external editor (e.g., Luminar), all the changes are immediately applied to the original (non-destructively), but if it's possible to do the same with Elements (Organizer+Editor) it's not obvious to me.

I'm trying to simply type a paragraph in PSE 18. When I click on the type tool, I drag a box and I begin typing. In the past, it automatically wrapped and went down to the next line and I just continued typing. But now when I begin typing, it will actually go outside the box and will not continue on the next line. I believe there's a setting somewhere that says "no break" but I can't find it in Elements 18.
