Photoshop Elements

My grandson has his student copy of Photoshop Elements 14 on our home computer.  I transferred all my apps, programs and data to a new computer and now the Photoshop does not work.  I can either de-activate it on the old computer and try to re-activate on the new, or uninstall it on the new and install Photoshap Elements 21.  If I deactivate it on the old machine will I be able to activate it on the new? 

I'm currently using Elements 7.0 and am going to updrade to Elements 2021.  Is there anything special that needs to be done?  Will it automatically pick up the Keyword Tags, for example?  Will I need to back up the files before loading the new version and reloading them?  I would appreciate any insight/help.  As you can see I've been usng the old version for a long time....

I have two computers in my household: one is too old to run PSE 2021, and the other is too new to run PSE 14. I currently have a license only for PSE 14. If I upgrade that license in order to install 2021 on the newer computer, can I keep using 14 on the older one? Or will the PSE 14 license get inactivated for all devices when I buy the upgrade?

Hi I have videos and photos loaded into Organiser 2019 on my iMac running Mojave. The problem that has existed in the past few versions of Photoshop Elements and iOS persist . The problem is that after previewing a video clip in the Organiser, the program hangs. Only Force Quit works. I have done the adjustments advised by Apple, i.e  ensure the programs have correct security access and cleared all relevant caches etc. This was all done done under Apple guidance. t worked for a while. Today the problem is back, and seems now to be only on the first viewing of the clip. At this stage there is no image in the organiser for the clip, and I usually get a message saying " Preparing media". The clip plays. You return to Grid of media, and it hangs. Do a Force Quit, start again, repeat. This time there is an image of frame for the video in the Organiser grid. Play the clip, back to grid, and it doesn't hang. As all software is current and supported. i need to get this fixed. It seems lot

Last year I updated my Apple Mas IMAC and recently i tried to open my Photoshop Elements 11 I'd transferred from my previous older IMac. However, it will not open and this appears:“Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor” needs to be updated.The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information.Upon examining the 'detail' it appears it is to do with the fact the the version is 32 bit whilst Apple requires 64. But on the original box the system requirement is '64 bit'. I am confused and there also seems to be confusion on the sites.One solution proposed is to reload and 64 will be chosen. Also since I have a registered product can I purchase an upgrade? Before I go and purchase a DVD machine to load DVDs to my new Mac have we a definitive answer please?RegardsDavid

How can I translate language on a png file in Photoshop Elements 2019? I received the png with Spanish wording, but I need it in English.

I am using PSE 11.  It has been a good fit for me, until I did something and I don't know what nor how to correct it.  When I am typing text, the leading is way off - and I cannot change it to be correct.  Even if I have it set at .01, I could easily fit three more lines of text in between the two I've typed.  Can anyone tell me how to fix this - in easy terms for a neophyte?  A screen shot is in the attached document.  Thank you!

I just installed Photoshop Elements 2021 Windows store in windows 10 pro . I would like to know if I can download Photoshop Elements 2021 from adobe stite and install it for offline install ?

I am using Photoshop Elements to retouch a purchased PNG file. I reduce the file size to 2.44M 800 pixels by 1067 pixels. I am trying to convert the PNG file to a SVG file for use with a vinyl cutter. When I send it through the converter (Convertio) it converts to a black and white file. No color. Am I doing something wrong in Photoshop? I have used the Convertio program with many PNG to SVG files with no problem. I just am unable to figure this one out. Hello, I made a big mistake in my catalogue. Accidently I added a new location to all of my pictures.As I detected my mistake I deleted the Pin and with that all assigned location information.Is there a possibility to redo the automated detection of the location based on the GPS data as made during the initial import of the photos?A reimport is not working. If I delete one photo out of the catalogue and import it again the location and Pin are added again.Any ideas?Best RegardsFrank

I can open Editor and Premier but when I click on Organizer - my cursor does not show up and only photos from 2007 are showing up.  Cannot toggle around to try to import any recent photos.  And it seems to lock up.  Can highlight the import or file tab but clicking on it will not open it up

I'm trying to put Photoshop Elements 10 on a laptop that does not have a disc drive. I've gone through all the motions until it asks for serial number. Unfortunately, it keeps telling me the serial number is not correct yet I'm holding the box in my hand. Since support does not have messaging or email, I am forced to post on this forum. My old computer crashed so I bought a new one. Geek Squad transfered my data. When I go to use the program such as editor, it wants me to buy the program, offers a free trial, etc. I already purchased the program but I can't seem to resolve this program and I can't use the program. I also can't find a live person to help me.

I bought and downloaded Photoshop Elements but have never used it. Now that I am trying to use it, I am being promted to buy stuff. Why do I need to buy more when I already have it. I just want to be able to use what I already purchased.  Please help me figure out how.

Problem arises when I save an image for the web, either a .jpg or a .tif image.  Everything appears to work as normal until I choose save, when the save for web screen vanishes as does PSE 14.  This is something new.   The other anomaly I note is that when I attempt to save a .tif image in the save for web area,  the image appears as a .gif and I have to change that to a .jpg.  Anyone have a suggestion on what's going on?

how can I delete an album (empty but for one photo that does not belong there) in Elements organizer...and how can I create catalogues from my photo files?

I was just working on Photoshop Elements 2020, when I went to close out it had an update.  So I updated; but it failed.  Then I tried to open Photoshop Elements again and just a blank screen appears; see attachment.  I tried rebooting the computer but nothing; just this blank screen.  And now when I try to open it, I get "do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device - Elements Organizer 2019" ?????  Also, when I have the blank screen open, I open task manager and it shows four apps open (Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020; Elements Auto Creation 2020 (?); and two PhotoshopElementsLive (see attachment).  When I try to "end task" on a PhotoShopElementsLive, a line shows up on the blank screen "chromewebdata" (again see attachment).  Please help!  I need to use PSE, but it won't open.  I am using Windows 10 and tried rebooting.

I am using Adobe Photoshop Element 2019 The picture on the left is open in Photoshop The picture on the right is Windows 10 Not only is the Photoshop picture red....which we were NOT that red,  but blurry also What has changed in Photoshop? Can I make adjustments somewhere. Can anybody tell what the recommended maximum number of media files is?I have approx 140k images - including approx 10k video files.  It took more than one week for my six core, 16gig RAM PC to perform the face recognition.  Now I´m trying to create a backup of the catalog - after around half an hour it tels me, that my system has not enough ressources to complete the backup. 70gig free space on the main ssd 600gig free space on the data hdd5,5gig RAM used / 16gig total I didn´t found any information about limitations.    

Maybe a couple months ago I opened photoshop and it looked normal but when I started working on a project the screen would go grey when I clicked on the screen to work. For example when im erasing a back ground and dragging the eraser across the image the work screen goes grey. When I let go the image or regular screen comes back up. So I can then see what I earased. But I'm basically working blindly and it is driving me crazy. Any idea on how to fix this?  P.S. I am no pro. I know the basics. I am working on a Mac.

I have recently installed PS Elements 2021 and am workin through the Organizer to get my photos all imported. I tried the slideshow option just to see how it works. When I play it back within the program, I get a ton of fine green horizontal lines with the slideshow playing in the background. If I export the slideshow and play it on the same machine, it works fine. There are you tube videos complaining of the same problem for people using Adobe Premier, which I don't have loaded up. There solution is to use FnQ to access a quick look at how the laptop uses the video card/driver and then change it to 'auto'. I tried that but no change. I also went to the video card maker's site and downloaded a file that allows me to update drivers and change the main use of the driver. I changed mine from 'gaming' to 'studio' but that didn't help either. Any ideas? I'm using a Lenovo laptop with an i7 - 10 Gen processor. The video card is nvidia Geforce GTX with 6 MG. A portion of our logo has a particular shape to it.I want to be able to place another image into it, superimpose I suppose.Attached is the shape of our logo.  Sorry about the edging.  I want to be able to place another image such as the other one attached so it "replaces" the green in the logo. I think you do it with Masks, but not sure.  I have another software package that is old-hat, that can do it, but it would be better if I can do it in Photoshop Elements. 

When I start the update of Adobe Photoshop Elements, Internet Explorer is automatically opened. But I don't use that anymore, and I even had deleted it from my laptop.I only want to use Chrome, thus also for this update.How to solve this? Erna
