Photoshop Elements

I have just downloaded Photoshop Elements 2021. I have a mac and am on Big Sur operating system I wanted to add Topaz and affinity plug ins. I put them in the plug in folder, neither worked and I now have a message when I open Photoshop Elements editor.  The mssage is "There is a problem with Generator.  Please quite Photoshop and try again.  If the problem persists , remove any third party plug ins or try reinstalling Photoshop." I have  a mac and downloaded Photoshop elements from the app store. I have removed the third party plug ins and tried deleting and reinstalling photoshop.  This has not worked and I still get the Generator message and cannot use my plug ins.  I did notice that the folder where the plug in goes hasThumbDatabase.db3 files in it dating from before I deleted the Photoshop Elements app. should I have also delete these files when I deleted the photoshop app? Can anyone help please.

Hi.  I have a PNG file that the color is b&w.  I'm trying to change color of the PNG.  Any time I try and change color, it just makes it default to gray?? I've also tried Edit>Fill Layer>Choose Color and I get the same result - gray color box/ Appreciate the help!!!

If I am importing files from my card reader and there are also new files in one of the watched folders to import, Photoshop Elements 2019 freezes.  I have tried specifying Cancel on the window of watched folder import files and have also tried specifying Import.  In both cases, the application freezes. I have to close PE and re-open.  When I re-open the application it gives a message that there were new files imported and do I want to see them on the screen.  When I say Yes, it then opens a window that says it is scanning for new files in teh watched folders. That process doesn't finish so I have to cancel it. Then I get to see the photos I was importing from my card reader.  It, however, doesn't delete them from the card so I have to do that separately later.

I have an old version of Photoshop. I use it to resize pictures for web optimisation only. I just got a Dell XPS laptop and uploaded it but the writing is so small it's really tricky to use. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I followed a few YouTube videos but it didnt' really re3solve the issue.Thank you

Both packages require Gen 6 Intel processor - I am running less;  2.93 gigahertz Intel Core i7 940, multicore -4.  Is this requirement realistic and I have to resort back to my PSE 14, or can I get away with what I have?

Due to a necessary re-installation of Windows 10 I had to re-install PSE 2019 as well.After that I tried to restore the catalog in Photoshop Organizer (PSE 2019) form an external disk drive. The Back-up File (*.tly) was found.But I received the following error:"An error was found while restoring a catalog. It's best to contact your disk drive manufacturer to update on the latest firmware for your specific drive. Then try again."The external drive works properly.I found an old article about migration from between Vista en SP (https://helpx.adobe.com/nl/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html)that mentions the same problem. Is there anyone whop can shwo me the way?But it didn't help me out.

Having finally managed to install photoshop elements 12 onto my Mac OS X 10.7.5 I find that the organiser does not work. It appears at the very bottom of the screen but everything is frozen and I have to force quit every time, also my video tutorials won't work, l get a message saying bad gateway... Please help if you can 

Am I missing something?I often have multiple tabs running in Photoshop Elements 14, but have never been able to discover why the software won't allow me to print out just one of the tabs.For example, if I have six different tabs currently in progress and I wish to print just one, when I execute the print command, Elements14 puts all in the print window! I can remove the unwanted five, singly, [you can't seem to group them] but Elements doesn't remember any of this if the print dialog is closed and re-opened.If I go back to the print dialog and select just one image in the print dialog, a blue outline appears around it; then I setup the print parameters, they get applied to all the tabbed images and all are spooled out to the printer! Then I have to command the printer to print the just one of spooled images, and quickly stop the paper feed or pause the printer to prevent the unwanted print-outs. Madness! In this respect Elements 6 was much more printer friendly. Any ideas, we

Every time I use PSE Organizer, I end with with a HUGE temp file folder that has a copy of every photo I worked with. The most recent version of this was 75 GB of space. Can I delete these files? I have in the past and then I get an error when I use Organizer (which does not affect my ability to use the program). The files are in C:\users\orit\appdata\local\temp

Hello everybody!I use Photoshop elements 19 (mac) and recently there has been a problem while editing. Maybe someone could help me? As soon as I use any tool (whether transforming or using the eraser) and click on the mouse, the image to be edited disappears (you can only see the gray background of the program) and only appears again when I release the mouse button. This makes editing very difficult. On this picture you can see the gray screen while the mouse button pressed. Does anyone have any idea how to solve the problem so that the image to be worked on is always visible? My wife has a newer iphone which takes pictures in the HEIC format.  I have been unable to import pictures in the HEIC format on my Windows version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020.  I know I can convert the files to the JPEG format and import, but I really do not want to do that.  I recently upgraded to from the 2018 PE version to the 2020 PE version just so I could import the lastest formats such as HEIC. Any suggestions?

I quit using Adobe CC applications simce I really did not need it.  I purchased Adobe Photoshop Element 2019 (APE 2019) from Amazon.  I also bought a new Apple MacBook with macOS Big Sur version 11.1.  When I tried to run APE 2019 I received this noticePlease download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager fromhttp://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager.This link does not work and every thing I tried to download AAM had to do with CC.  Can someone gave me a detail solution to this problem I am having? 

Fresh install of 2021.  i7 with 16GB memory running Windows 10. When a sky replacement is attempted, the 'Generating composite and matching color tone' dialogue box is displayed but progress stops at about 20%. The system freezes and eventually displays a program crash and error report box. and the app has to be closed using Task Manager. I tried switching off the GPU in settings but that doesn't help.  Tried running PSE as an administrator, but that doesn't help either. Any thoughts?Thanks Phil

I have two Win 10 devices, both with most current update. One still opens Elements 6. The other will not open it. Should I uninstall and reinstall? Any other ideas? I ran "troubleshoot" but didn't help.

how do i fix this problem?ive reinstalled everything including the printer driver and softare with no luck.  printing works on my other programs thank you  

I am trying to find out what advantages LR Classic or LR offer over PS Elements.  I have used Elements organizer and editor, plus upgrades since 1995. What benefits do I get by adding LR over Elements Organizer?

Hi I have photoshop elements 2020 ,on a MacBook Pro , and I have seen a plug--in that I would really like, it is called "Frozen White" it states that it can be used as a plug-in for LR and Photoshop, I wondered if it would work in elements 2020 , i would appreciate your views and thank you in advance        Keith

Automate crop and straighten - is this available in Photoshop Elements 2021?If not which product do I need to purchase? Have 1000's of old postcards to scan in to sell on EBay which are all the same size. Ideally would also like to resize to 600 pixels across and save for web at 'fine' setting. Anything to help automate the process would be wonderful.ThanksDavid

My "Attach missing file" gizmo in organizer says I have no missing files.  But after creating a collage and opening it to display in the organizer it opens to the "Files missing from Catalog" screen. The file looking for the missing file is Untitled-1.pse.  I've invoked the Find missing file utility many times to no avail. All the various combinatiins of photos selected for the collage are complete - no missing components. Any suggestions?

I installed Photoshop Elements - Nov 2019. My iMac is running catalina 10.15.6. The software has been used virtually everyday since installation without issue. All of a sudden it refuses to open! ( i can open organiser only!).Please help. Thanks
