Photoshop Elements

Hi. I have just installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020, and when I import pictures embeddied tags on the picture the files appears under "Imported Keyword Tags". Many of these Tags are People and Places, and how can I move these over to the People and Places Categories? 

Hi all, I'm a current Photoshop user (ACE certified) but will be starting up a teaching class on Photoshop Elements at a local prison for a few inmates who are part of a visual arts program. They have very basic computer experience. Can anyone suggest learning tools/books for these guys. I cannot use internet or download learning materials in the prison and must only be in printed format. I need an easy to follow book on learning Elements for them. I have just downloaded the program so that I can learn the difference between full PS and Elements. Thanks so much. 

Just got Photoshop Elements 2020 and so far one thing is not working. The content move tool will not remove the object. Using windows 10.

I just downloaded PSE 2021 today on a Mac. It looks just about like PSE 2018 (long story why I purchased it) but in Organizer, I used to be able to see the metadata on each photo on the side of the grid. I'm probably just missing it but can someone tell me how to make that visible again? Thanks.

I've just moved up to Photoshop Elements 2019 from PSE 14. I had not really used Organizer when using PSE 14, but having read the raves about 2019's version, I decided it was time to start using it. It took almost 2 weeks for Organizer to finish building its Catalog. The media count shows more than 87,000 items in the Catalog.I continue to work on identifying "UnNamed" people as well as removing incorrectly identified faces in the "Named" area.  While the people recognition portion of the program works OK, it looks like I have a long way to go to get most/all faces identified.I'm experiencing crashes to my system if I work in Organizer for a while.  The more faces I identify, or removed incorrectly identified ones, the sooner the program either closes, locks up, or even worse, locks up my computer.  In hopes of reducing or eliminating crashes, I've used Organizer's Catalog Manager to move my Catalog off the C:/ drive to another internal drive (of which there is ample fre

When restoring a PSE 2021 Full Backup from a Windows 10 computer to a new Windows 10 PSE 2021 computer,1. What destination do I select?2. Do I specific orignial file structure or not?Thanks.....Ron

I have Windows 10 Dell laptop with limited space on my C drive so use one drive to store photos.Every time I start my pc or open Adobe Elements 2021 which I recently updated to from Adobe Elements 2018.  The App continutally starts downloading photos on to my laptop. I repeatedly click on Cancel download and block App in my settings but it keeps coming. It isn't clear on Settings what Apps you are trying to block or allow. How do I stop this happening without affecting functionality?  I do not have the space on my C drive so keep having to fix it. Thanks

I want to move photos from one catalog to a different one.  When moved to new catalog, the captions are lost.  How can I move captions with the photos?  Photoshop Elements 2021

I bought Elements 2018 in August 2018, Adobe says it's 64-bit, but when i try to install it on a new macbook pro (64-bit) the info for the app says it's 32-bit. Surely I don't have to buy a new version? 

I am working with my pictures in the Organizer in Photoshop Elements 2019 and have many albums and tags on thousands of imported pictures. But now when I open the program it looks like when I started using the program i.e. only the pre-defined functions but none of  the imported pictures in the albums and tags I have created. It is like I am in the training module. Hope someone know how to get back to my version. Unfortunately no back-up 

When I try to "Save metadata to file" to more then 67 files simultaneously, the command is greyed. Am I doing something wrong?Rik

Where can I find a link to download, in PDF format, a User Manual for Photoshop Elements 9? There doesn't seem to be a manual on the installation DVD.

Just purchased Photoshop Elements and when it is cycling through the start-up, it keeps getting hung up at PlayerMediaCore.prm. Is this a bug that can be fixed? Reinstalling does not help. Thanks.

I recently changed my camera from a Nikon 750 to a Nikon Z6 11 and also upgraded from Elements 15 to Elements 2021. I used to be able to import raw files into Elements from my Nikon 750 and I can see and use those raw files in the 2021 organiser but I cannot import new raw files from my Z6 11. I keep getting a message saying file is corrupted or not supported. The files are ok as I can open them in Nikons software. I can import JPEG files from my Z6 11 so not sure what to do. Help please

Hello, is it possible in Photoshop Elements Organizer to select folders for import instead of files?

Hi.Running WIN10. Have 3 disks:C: 250GB SSD - System and applicationsF: 2TB HDD - Data filesG: 5TB HDD - Backup I was given Lightroom for Christmas, which has been installed. Need to move PSE14 Catalog across to Lr.I cannot find the location of the catalog, which I assume is a file named catalog.psedb. Have searched all 3 disks with no success. Complete backup of the catalog to the G drive was performed successfully in PSE14 yesterdayDoes anyone have any ideas as to how I can find where the catalog is located? Do I have the correct name for the catalog file?Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi thereI have an old version, no version number on the disk.  I want to download a current version, i do have the serial number but it does not recognise it, any suggustions?Thanks

I have been using Elements 6 for years.  Pretty comfortable with it but now I have a new laptop and I am not sure if it is going to work on my new one.  Or how I go about transferring it over.  When I bought it came on a CD which I still have.  Any ideas, suggestions, help would be much appreciated.Karen

Hallo zusammen,ich möchte meine Photos nach Orten kategorisieren. Leider ist die mapbox (OpenstreetMap) im Organizer gerade nicht die aktuellste. Orte die auf Openstreemap sofort gefunden werden - findet der Organizer überhaupt nicht. Gibt es entweder die Möglichkeit diesen Teil zu aktualisieren? oder kann man Orte in der Suche des Organizer über die GPS Daten erfassen?Oder kann man Photos einfach direkt in die Karte ziehen? Danke im Voraus Andreas

I have tried to download Photoshop Elements 2021 several times and each time Microsoft Defender SmartScreen blocks it.  I try to keep it, but then a blue box comes up saying: This app can't run on your PC.  To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher.  I tried to download the trial version, but my McAfee antivirus has it quarantined with: TIE/Suspect!23986AEAFA0B.  I was able to download Photoshop Premiere Elements 2021 with no problem.  Is there another way to download the .exe file?

Hallo, ich habe Photoshop Elements 2021 gekauft /Desktop DVD). Es lies sich auch soweit installieren. Der Organiser funktioniert. Wenn ich aber auf Photoeditor oder Videoedior öffne muss ich die Seriennummer zur Aktivierung eingeben. Bei beiden erscheint dann die Meldung die Seriennummer sei ungültig. Es handelt sich aber um ein original gekauftes Programm und die Seriennummern stehen ja auf der Hülle. Kann hier jemand helfen?

I am finding it very difficult to discover if my elements and premier elements 2019 can be upgraded to 2021. I bought 2019 and haven't used it because I inadvertently upgraded to Catalina. I am now using Big Sur. Can I upgrade to 2021 and will it be compatible with Big Sur? TIA

When restoring a PSE 2021full backup (134GB) from my old computer to a new computer, the program requests me to specify a location.  When I select Pictures for the location it converts it to C:\Users\RonGant\OneDrive\Pictures. Why is it storing my pictures, videos, and catalog in a new folder called One Drive? What location should I specify? Thanks.....Ron

Suddenly I cannot import photos from a card reader to adobe photoshop elements 12 because I get a message saying "device not found>" I can import from the camera directly and from the memory card to "pictures" on windows so I know it is not a defective card. Any thoughts.Thanks

I followed the instructions and Imported in Bulk from my MacBook - disaster! There was no way to choose or delete folders or sub-folders. I have 13,000 photos, but Adobe found 53,000 media files. I deleted all the folders Adobe set up, but now when I import individual photos to edit - much preferable to bulk import! - it says "already in my catalog." How do I delete everything ( delete my catalog) and start over? Thanks for any guidance!
