Photoshop Elements

I've got PSE 2022 on a Mac Monterey 12.2I've organized my photos myself for 70 years now, and the PSE Organizer is a pain in the butt, popping up whenever I save an edited image and at other times.Has anyone tried uninstalling Organizer and continued to use PSE successfully? 

Hi all,I just installed Photoshop Elements 2025 on my rather old PC with AMD processor and WIN 10. I ran into the issue of the missing DLL ippcvm7, which apparently is from an Intel library. As a switch to a newer computer with WIN 11 was anyway on my list for 2025 I decided to do this asap. But: it is not clear to me if I need to buy an Intel based system in order to avoid the above DLL issue or if I could still use an AMD based system.I'll be glad for any advice on this Ralph P.S: I think, that good customer orientation by Adobe would have required it to clarify this compatibility issue since the problem initially came up in 2020!

I recently got my first Macbook after years of Windows usage. I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements Version: 21.0 (20230329.Git.m1.392a82c) arm64 Operating System: Mac OS 15.2.0After installing the Camera Raw plugin I can only open raw files (from my Sony a6700) using Adobe Organizer. When I try to open the same file from Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 directly, i get an error message: "cannot open this file". Again the Camera Raw plugin is installed and the same file opens without issues using Organizer. Also, when trying to import other raw files from my sdcard using organizer i get "the file is damaged or cannot be included in Elements Organizer. This happens with some raw files, i successfully imported other raw files from my nas. Anyone has seen this before and knows how to get around it? Thanks!

I have the 2023 and 2024 Elements packages on my computer and want to remover the older to save disk space. When I deactivate the 2023 version is also deactivates the 2024 version too. Am I missing something? Or do I simply "uninstall" the older package via File Manager? I just want to keep from messing with the 2024 version.  Thanks for any help. 

Hello. I have been away from photo editing for quite some time and hoping for an assist. I have a landscape photo taken on a cell phone that I would like to have printed on metal at 40" by 24".The image is 3.32 MB, 4000 x 3000, 12 MPWhen I open in PSE, it is 72 dpi. The lab prints at 300 dpi.I need to do some work on color and sharpness, crop, and get to the 300dpi.Can someone share a workflow for achieving this to not compromise print quality?It would be most appreciated!

I have Element 2018, old PC got zapped. Now element cd wont reload, I put in the redemption code but wont give me a serial number to complete. About fed up with Adobe, any ideas how I can reload?

Dear Sir and Madams,I'm aware that this topic has been discussed about, here, already. But for me it hasn't been resolved. So, please forgive me for starting a fresh thread.I do have a licence for Photoshop Elements 2019 (i.e. ver 17), and it works perfectly well with my Windows 10 Home. However, I've acquired a new laptop, and thus, I'd need to transfer the software to a Windows 11 (64 bit) environment.I chatted with Adobe Support on Friday, and got a download link and pakage. Sadly, while trying to ignite the installation process, I keep getting an error message which says my browser or OS needs to be updated (although those are up to date).Also, the download through my Adobe Account Registered Products menu is a dead-end. The package (exe) arrives with no problem - but the installation fails at the very beginning.The solution I referred to, earlier, was to install the Creative Cloud desktop app first, and then retry the PSE 2019 installation. Prints with my Epson XP-625 printer do not match the image on my monitor.  Images are edited in Elements 2025 using sRGB IEC61966-2.1 colour profile and the the monitor is calibrated with SpyderX.  The Elements colour management for prints is set to "managed by printer" with rendering set to "Perceptual" using the "Glossy Photo Paper" profile as the paper I use is not made my Epson. A print simulation in SpyderX shows the colours in Elements and the SpyderX print simulation to be pretty close.  However, when I do a print preview there is a colour shift and the print image is darker.  The print preview image is pretty close to what is actually printed (see attached screen dump). I have tried various brands of paper and also tried using Photoshop to to control the printer selecting the printer colour calibration profile that matches Glossy Photo Paper.  No matter what I do the colour and density of all the prints are all very close to one another and sh

Hi guys,I have the latest elements 2018 and I need to just make what I thought would be an easy adjustment. I need to remove a background of a picture and replace it with a solid white one. My picture is of a white A4 page worksheet for a project on a table. I need to remove the table and layer the image of my work onto a white background which I can then layer onto my powerpoint presentation slide. I have looked on youtube, found plenty for older versions, one or two for 2018, but they must be using different programmes, and basically none help. I have used the magic wand, it leaves a rough edge, i found a layer video where you select the white background color etc, but I cannot drag and drop the layer to the top to go behind the original image. Can someone please help and just walk me through a step by step instruction on what to do. Thank you.

I am not able to expand a photo stack, I have to use the unstack command and then reselect and and stack again. There are no arrows on the left or right of the thumbnail photo to simplify this option. "Set as top photo" cannot be selected.

Hi there, I'm a new user of Ps Elements 2021 (Windows). I'm unable to copy and paste.I have tried using the rectangular selection tool and also other tools, combined with hot keys or the drop-down menu method of copying (which is usually greyed out). I sometimes get an error message telling me "no pixels are selected" even though I can see a selection on the screen (but not marching ants - haven't worked out how I'd get those). Any tips?I have my layers on autoselect so I don't think it's a layer related issue.For background: I'm trying to paste PNG images into another file. The files were provided as part of a design course. My fellow students have been copying and pasting these same images in photoshop without any problems, so I must be doing something wrong!Thank you

I am having an issue with the haze removal function when editing a raw image.  If there is any yellow in the subject, it often turns it pea green during haze removal.  If I save the image as a JPG without using haze removal, then go back and remove haze from the JPG, it leave the colors alone. Also, in the raw image, when I select remove haze and look a the preview, the green is not there.  But when I hit "OK" to make the change, it puts the green in there. I shoot a lot of the Blue Angels as well as bald eagles, and both have yellow in them - so this is really slowing me down. I'll attach a couple of tight (grainy) crops just to show what I'm talking about.

Hi, I have Adobe Premiere Elements 2023 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 installed on my Windows 11 Desktop. The software has latest updates. However when I try to run Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023, it shows "Loading ..." message for few seconds and then vanishes. No software comes up for me to edit the photos. I uninstalled and installed it again but to no avail. Adobe Premiere Elements 2023 loads and runs fine.Any ideas how to fix the photoshop issue?

I did an upgrade on Premier Elements 2023 to 2025.  After completed it updated the catalog.  I go to check the tags and the majority show no media.  When I look in the organizer under media.  The majority of my photos and videos are not there.  Also places, events, people are not there.  What am I missing?  Do i need to run an import from my main pictures directory and if I do will all the tags be gone.  It found my catalog because a small portion of pictures and videos are there.  Windows 10.

I am able to install PSE 2025 on new desktop computer.   I still have PSE 2024 on laptop.  Adobe says I cannot have both.  So how do I use it when I go out with my laptop?  Or can I uninstall 2024 and install 2025 on that one too so I will have it (2025)  on different computers???

I have been searching this topic and see that it is occurring in earlier versions as well. I have tried all the fixes that have been suggested but they aren't successful.  Hope I am just missing something but does anyone know how to correct this.  Thanks

Unable to change text color or color of pencil drawing 

Trying  to install PSE 2019 on a new Thinkpad laptop running Windows 11 Pro with all the latest updates installed and the Adobe Creative Cloud program also installed. The PSE 2019 installations on the other computers have been deactivated.The attempted installations appeared to progress marginally for a long time before the error message appeared.After looking at some of the posts in this Community I installed Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x86 2013 and then the installation started slowly again and eventually got to maybe 70-80% and then failed. I would like to get this program installed so I've uploaded the install.log file to OneDrive:https://1drv.ms/u/c/f28dc6b71c34ae3c/EeWtda8xjppFppRrdFnK38sB4u43-p_IfdDojphHT5xmAg?e=eqEtsoI'm hoping someone can look at this and see what's causing the problem.Thank You  

HiI've just installed Elements 2024 for windows, but the layer menu is greyed out, any ideas?

I just signed up for a free trial of PSE 2024.  What happens when I am done with the trial?Will I be able to buy it or will I have to go back to my older version if I don't want 2025?  I am curious as to why 2024 would be availabe for 30 days if we can't do anything furtherwith it.  Thank you!

I had to re-install Photoshop Elements 12 (I had the serial number) due to having to reinstall Windows which deleted all non-Microsoft apps.  It seemed to install fine but now when I try to open the Photo Editor, it keeps asking me to log into Adobe to register it. I keep logging into Adobe but that doesn't help.  I really appreciate your advice as to how to fix this!

I’m running a bit low on hard drive space and decided to go through all my videos (many of which are large, 4K video files) and weed out my video collection. I opened the Organizer and set it to display videos only. I view possible candidates for deletion, one at a time. The problem I’m having is that, when I go to Uncatalog AND Delete the a file, the Organizer tells me the file is read-only or locked and it can’t delete it. I confirmed, via Windows File Explorer, that the application locking it is: Photoshop Elements Organizer! I guess that makes some sense, and what I’ve been doing is copying the file names in a text file and manually deleting the files after exiting the Organizer. Which, of course, is very tedious. BUT: Sometimes, the Organizer DOES delete a file. It’s happened a few times, but I have no clue as to why those files are exceptions. Does anyone have ideas? I’d love to do everything from inside the Organizer, but if I can’t, I’m probably better off just doing everything
