Premiere (Beta)

Hello everyone, I am trying to create a stand-alone production in premiere pro using 2 different projects, I copied the sequences separately into a new production, when I tried to edit/"generate master clips for media", the option is greyed out, I am not using proxies, these are actual files. Any suggestions are welcome! Thank you.  There is a solution posted in here, but that didn't work because the user in that example was using proxies. I am using the latest version of Premiere pro beta (25.3.0). Thanks in advance.

Not exporting In-N-Out points on the timeline.

When I click on an existing porject or try to create a new one, the "opening project" pop up stays frozen on the screen. The little beach ball of doom pops up but then disappears and the app stays frozen. Nothing opens or changes. I've tried updating Beta, I've restarted my MacBook, I've cleared my media caches and reset my Premiere, I've updated my MacOS and uninstalled/reinstalled the Premiere app. I've tried working on my hard drive and on the MacBook itself, but the results are the same (as above). Any ideas or suggestions?

We’ve just introduced Dynamic Audio Waveforms to the Public Beta as of Monday, November 25th (build number 25.2.0 x029...this may appear for you later in the day if you are using a Mac this is now available for both Windows and Mac versions). Audio waveforms will reflect adjustments to volume on clips, a long-requested feature.   More specifically, you’ll see live feedback on waveforms when you use the following:  Rubber band and keyframes on clips (clip and channel volume, amplify);  Essential Sound Panel (Volume, Mute, Auto-Ducking);  Effects Control Panel volume parameter adjustments (Clip and channel volume, amplify);  Properties Panel (Volume and Mute controls); Audio Gain.  A Dynamic Audio Waveforms option is now available in the View Menu, can be toggled on and off, and is enabled by default. You can also assign a keyboard shortcut to toggle it on and off. This toggle will also apply to Waveform Scaling for Audio Gain adjustments

We’re excited to announce that hardware acceleration of Canon’s Cinema RAW Light format is now in the latest beta versions of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder. You should expect to see significantly improved editing & transcoding performance when using Cinema RAW Light files in the beta: smooth playback on the timlineline and export performance improved by up to 10x.   The initial beta release adds Cinema RAW Light acceleration for Apple silicon computers. Steps to reproduce:Create a comp, with some audio, in AEDrag that comp into PProPlay that comp in PPro...it has audio - I can hear it. Look at its audio (in PPro)....there is an audio waveformDrag the comp into a bog-standard timelineResult:No audio appears on the timeline Expected:Audio should accompany the comp on the timeline Even if I drag the audio only (from the audio waveform view) to the timeline, I just get the "grabbing hand with 'no' sign on it" icon, and nothing happens. The ONLY way I can get it to work is by dragging the comp onto the 'new sequence' icon, then copying & pasting it from that new sequence into the target sequence. System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v25.3.0.51    OS: Windows v10.0.19045, RAM: 127.91 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 32

Opening a clip from the timeline in the source monitor and trying to adjust the in or outpoint results in an instant crash of Premiere.   W11 25.3.0.47

For the past few Beta builds, the Paste function has been replaced by Paste Insert. Why is this?

Auto-ducking randomly stopped working. Reinstalled PPro, still happening?!Latest version of PPro.Macbook M1 and OS Sequoia latest version.Steps to reproduce:Select auto-ducking, select duck against diaglogue, hit generate keyframes, nothing happens.When selecting "generate keyframes" on audio that's already been ducked before this bug, it erases the keyframes and doesn't bring them back even when selecting to generate again. I have to CMD+Z back.

This has happened frequently.  Suddenly all playback stops for everything. Timeline will scrub, but it cannot play until I restart the machine. Nothing else will play, even outside of Premier, so it's crashed a Windows service. This time I'm editing an hour long multicam sequence with 4 sources.  In the master timeline, I made two cuts and ripple deleted the section in the middle.  Then it refused to play. It's happened before, often when trimming a clip.   See what you can find.  Do you know what service may be crashing?  I could dive into services and restart it. Using nVidia 2080tI with current studio driver. System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v25.3.0.47    OS: Windows v10.0.22631, RAM: 63.82 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 16

Since v25.1 swapping between large sequences in premiere has been painfully slowv25.0 vs 25.3 (same behaviour in v25.1 & 25.2, these are just the two versions I have installed rn). This is the exact same project file, using the exact same media/proxies etcI tried to start this project in v25.1 funnily enough but just couldn't do it, swapping between sequences was killing me. I've had this happen for two projects now over all 3 versions since 25.1 while 25.0 has remained rock solid. 1. v25.1+2. Windows 11 - 22631.4602, 7900x (and 9900x), 4070ti Super, everything on ssd's & prores proxies3. have 2x 1-3h timelines with constant edits, swap between them.4. I expect the sequences to swap instantly like 25.0 does, instead of taking multiple seconds to load before any inputs get registered.

The software keeps crashing. Adobe Premiere Beta version.

Hello, I am unsure if visual analysis performs scene detection for my footage? I currently import my footage into Premiere Pro and then perform scene detection to create clips which I then import to Premiere Pro (Beta) for analysis to help organise my clips. Nevertheless, I recently discovered that importing the footage directly into Premiere Pro (Beta) for visual analysis automatically creates the clips required for visual search. (Process A)Video > Premiere Pro > Scene Detection > Clips > Export > Clips Folder > Import to Beta > Visual Analysis (Process B)Video  > Import to Beta > Visual Analysis So, I suppose my question is do I have to perform scene detection for my footage before visual analysis (A) or does visual analysis automatically perform scene detection on my footage (B) ?  thank you 🙂  

I want to create a plugin for Premiere Pro Beta v25.3.0, but I'm unsure where to find information about this process.The error occurs because the newSequence object returned by activeSequence.createSubsequence(true) does not have a getVideoTracks() method or a videoTracks property.I need to find a method that can provide me with text. [2025-04-09 23:54:28:742] [console] Localization error: TypeError: newSequence.getVideoTracks is not a function[2025-04-09 23:56:57:880] [console] Localization error: Error: Failed to get video tracks: Failed to get video tracks: getVideoTracks is not supported and there are no videoTracks.

I just discovered an issue with the new color management pipeline. When footage is offline for some reason - either manually or the files have been moved to a different location - and Premiere Pro relinks them, the input tone mapping is reset to the default value. This happens on Premiere Pro Beta 25.2.0.74. I just noticed this because I moved this project and I noticed that every grading was gone. After some tinkering I discovered this was related to the tonemapping and than things clicked into place. See example here:   Basically the dropdown-menu and 3 sliders are not preserved. Is this on purpose or an oversight?

In the latest beta of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, the option to choose software rendering - “Mercury Playback Engine Software Only” - has been removed. Software rendering can cause poor performance and rendering in 8-bit, which can result in banding. In this beta and future released versions of our products, all rendering will be done using the GPU.    This change affects:  Premiere Pro - Macintosh Intel Premiere Pro - Windows Media Encoder - all platforms   Note that this change has no effect on Premiere Pro on Apple silicon computers, as software rendering has never been an option on this platform.    What renderer is being used by Premiere Pro is a project-specific setting. If a project using Mercury Playback Engine Software Only is opened in the latest beta of Premiere Pro, the renderer will automatically switch to a GPU-powered renderer.    We would appreciate your feedback on this change.    Regards, Fergus

Selection follows playhead (SFP) is acting up. When turned off, scrubbing is smooth. When SFP is turned on, the playhead hesitates on a cut. As soon as the clip is selected, it moves on smoothly until the next cut. W11 25.3.0.41 (also on pervious builds)   It takes too long for the SFP to select the clip.
