Hey everyone! We are excited to share that Global and Contextual Audio Mute is now available in Premiere Beta (Build 36). This has been a long standing request from many of you, and we are finally bringing it to life. What’s New? With Global Mute you now have full control over how and when Premiere plays audio. You can mute the entire application or mute only the Program Monitor or Source Monitor depending on your workflow. Where to find it There are multiple ways to access these new mute controls: Transport ControlsYou will find a mute button directly in the transport bar of both the Program Monitor and the Source Monitor. The icon clearly shows mute and unmute states, and it works together with the contextual meters of your active sequence or clip. When mute is enabled, the contextual meters will gray out to give you an extra visual confirmation of the mute state. Universal Header BarWe have also added a mute control in the Universal Header Bar. This
We’ve taken a fresh look at the application, panel, and context menus across Premiere Pro and developed a new organizational system to bring editors all the same functionality in a more concise and discoverable way. Even on a 13-inch laptop, you’ll never have to scroll a menu to get your work done. Our approach to organizing the menus: Aggressively organize into submenus. Commands stay in the same menu as before, but the submenus mean the menu stays short and readable. Give useful names to the new submenus. Editors new to Premiere Pro can more quickly learn what the menu items do. Be consistent when similar items appear in different menus. Whether in the Project or Timeline panel, common items like “Label” or “Media File Properties” appear in the same parts of menus. Across the application, menus that were updated average a 40% reduction in height, with some menus shrinking by half. This is a big change to the feel of using Premiere Pro, and while we took time an
Dear Adobe Community and Product Team,My name is Volodymyr Kuropiatnyk, and I am a Director and Editor at TVP3 Szczecin, a major Polish television station. As someone who has invested a decade in mastering Adobe's ecosystem, I can speak to the critical importance of having comprehensive language support for all key features. Why This Re
We’re excited to announce a major update to our Content Credentials workflow in Premiere on desktop and Media Encoder. You can now use Content Credentials to add your identity to your work, helping you safeguard your creativity and build trust with your audience. What’s New? Sign your work with your verified name: Attach your real identity to your content, so viewers know it’s authentically yours. (requires a verified LinkedIn profile) Connect your social accounts: Link your social media profiles to your output, making it easier for your audience to find and follow you and your work. Ask generative AI models not to use your content: After adding your name or social accounts, you can request that generative AI models not use your content for training, helping to prevent creative theft. Participating models respect the “Do Not Train AI” request, but not all AI systems may comply. Premiere and Media Encoder can use your preferences from the Adobe Content Aut
I’m having a hard time getting my N-RAW footage to look right. I’m attaching a few pictures to hopefully explain. They show my project setting, sequence settings and clip settings. There is one photo with no changes done and one photo of Overide color space to Nikon NLog. The NLog looks completly oversatuated. I’d like to use ACEScct for more dynaic range but my highlights stipp look blowout even at sub 90ire. Any suggestion? Workflow help? Please and thank you.
Hey community! I’m working on a massive documentary project and my Media Cache is filling up faster than usual.Do you guys prefer to "Clean" the cache manually within Premiere, or do you use a third-party app to clear out the database? Also, how often do you reset your preferences for better stability during big edits?
Premiere Pro Beta has support for Open Timeline IO interchage format (OTIO). Our current implementation includes the basic information for interchange with other products that support the OTIO standard: names cutlist with clips at correct place in sequence source in/out durations starting timecode and timecode formats fps multiple tracks track names linear speed sequence markers (start time, duration, name, color) Premiere Pro's OTIO support includes Premiere round-tripping information as well: clip markers (start time, duration, comments, name, color). Seqence frame size Sequence sample rate When importing OTIO files created outside of Premiere Pro, some sequence settings may not transfer automatically and will require manual adjustment. To export a sequence to OTIO, go to File menu/Export/OpenTimelineIO. To import an OTIO sequence, go to File menu/Import or use the Media Browser. Please give OTIO Import and Export a try and l
The amount of additional data Premiere projects can potentially have keeps increasing with new features. I think the development team should look into streamlining this data when it comes to how/where it is stored because currently they are all their own entities next to the project file. To my knowledge this is the current list of ‘things’ that can spawn next to the project file.Adobe Premiere Pro Audio Previews Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save Adobe Premiere Pro Captured and Generated Adobe Premiere Pro Video Previews [project filename] .prin file [project filename] Masks folder (new with object mask) [project filename] .prlock fileThis is just becoming too much clutter around anybody's own workflow and folder structure. Proposal:Move all data folders into a single folder “Premiere Data Files” or similar appropriate name. For logical reasons .prlock and perhaps .prin can remain next to project.
Dear users, Beginning in the public beta version releasing on Wednedsay, August 14th, we’ll be making a minor change to how muting is handled in the effects control panel to simplify the process. In the Effects Controls panel, you will no longer have 2 ways to bypass keyframes on the Volume effect. The fx button behavior is unchanged. The control formerly called “Bypass” has been replaced with “Mute,” which will make the audio silent. If you were using “Bypass” in an existing project, you will need to switch to use the Fx button instead, otherwise your audio will be silent. If you wish to bypass your volume keyframes in the future, simply press the “fx” button on the left. In addition, in cases where Mute was activated via the Essential Sound Panel, and then individual channels altered, the Mute button in the Essential Sound Panel will no longer be checked. The mute effect will now be applied through the Effects Control Panel. &
I recently downloaded Premiere Pro 26.0 and when I went to manually mask something by using the Path tool no keyframes appeared. Whenever I move the mask with my mouse keyframes do not appear but they do when I move it with the arrow keys. Why could this be and how do I fix it?
Am I being thick or has PPro, since the introduction of the whole AI-powered roto/"Unassigned Masks"(?!) thing lost its ability to do simple masking? Until recently, to mask out a portion of a clip, I'd open the clip's Opacity in the Effect Controls panel, click the pen icon and draw a mask. That's it. But that's now gone, and it seems every reference I can find to masking now only refers to masking an effect. And there's the new AI mask/rotoscoping thing, which I'm not interested in this project. How can I simply add a mask to a layer - I just want a portion of it to show; the mask will not move, and I have no effects on the layer - it's effectively like a garbage matte. Am I missing something? This is from Adobe's help page (https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere/desktop/add-video-effects/create-masks-and-composites/create-masks-using-shapes.html😞...in reality, the maksing tools have gone:...and if I select the pen or rectangle tools from the tool panel, if I also ha
Creative Cloud on my machine (windows) only shows Photoshop Beta v. 25.4. V26 would be awesome for a project I'm working on, but I can't seem to find the upgrade. I have tried uninstalling in Creative Cloud, reinstalling from creative cloud and from an Adobe.com download. I am an Enterprise user at a company, is it possible my Corporate Information Security folks are blocking the update? Or could there be some weird error with Creative Cloud, OR is it just not rolled out to everyone yet? If so, I find it weird that I can't find or download 25.6 either.
In version v25.1 or earlier of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder, video formats that are hardware accelerated by previous generations of NVIDIA GPUs are already hardware accelerated by NVIDIA’s new Blackwell Architecture GPUs. No update to our applications is required. Now in beta is support for an exciting new feature, unique to NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs: hardware acceleration of 10-bit 4:2:2 media in both H.264 and HEVC codecs. These formats combine small file size and great quality, and now with hardware acceleration from Blackwell, great performance. Please note: Hardware acceleration is available for H.264 & HEVC 10-bit 4:2:2 media in the MP4 and MOV containers. Support for MXF media will be coming later this year. Full-range files are currently being decoded as limited range files. This is a bug that will be fixed in an upcoming beta. If you’re a Windows customer with a B
Was wondering if utilizing Adobe Portfolio encryption password will work for use of a website for multiple users - but I do not want the ether to garner access to the website as it is proprietary information? And if it is essentially ok to proceed forward, am I to understand if I create a password for the entire site, will I have to enter the password for each app (thus slowing down any production) and if someone has the access to my website, with the password, they would also have access to all the other apps and creative designs in my Creative Cloud?
Can't draw shapes anymore with masks in the latest Premiere Pro Beta. Started after the last update (v25.2 - the one that fixed the issue where nesting stopped working). Y'all really gotta stop breaking core features so regularly.
We’re excited to push an early development preview of new masking workflows to Premiere Pro (beta). Whether you are color grading, applying effects, or cutting objects out from the background, these new masking tools are built to help editors work faster, smarter, and more creatively without needing to go to After Effects for simple tasks. Note: This beta is an early look at upcoming Premiere Pro workflows and is not intended to reflect general availability performance or polish. Please contact us with bugs, feedback, and feature requests to improve these features. Object Mask – Automatically identify objects and people in your footage using AI and isolate them with a single click. Plus mask refinement tools and fast tracking throughout clips. Redesigned Shape Masks – the traditional shape mask tools (ellipse, rectangle, pen) have been rebuilt from the ground up with many performance and UI improvements. Faster Shape Mask Tracking – the tracking algorithm has been
I continue to lose all hope with Premiere Pro beta. First I can't find the masking option in any of the effects, and now I can't create a simple shortcut. The default shortcut for "Render effects in and out" is supposed to be "Return" (or "Enter"). That wasn't working for me, so I went into keyboard shortcuts and deleted the default "Return" shortcut so i can re-enter it with the "Return" button, hoping it will sort of reset it. Now when I try to set "Return" as a shortcut, it just takes me out of the "Shortcuts" panel and back into my project without saving my "Return" button render shorcut. I was somewhat excited when Beta came out, seeing the possibities, but all the bugs I run into everytime I use it are very discouraging.
We've all been there - needing to open a .prproj in an older version of PPro, using the "rename it to .zip, extract it, edit the version name, etc" method or https://www.joshcluderay.com/downgrade-premiere-project-converter/ . When I tried to do this today (because the latest PPro beta is completely broken), it didn't work - ther resulting file (from Josh's automated method) didn't open in PPro 2025 (got the "it's too new" message) and when I did it manually, it just crashed PPro 2025 upon open. So Adobe - have you killed off this essential, much valued workaround? Are you planning to fix it with something akin to AE's "save as previous version" command (please)?
I have been running into some UI issues, first one, searching for effects doesnt work - you can type into the field, and nothing. This list of effects is also missing TONS of stuff, both default premier, and my installed boris BCC stuff.Beta:Production: Another issue: Entering values in certain places, like this crop dialog for CROP bottom:will not let you hit enter or accept the change update most of the time, but not all of the time.... sometimes when it accepts a input, it doesnt perform the crop either. sometimes it does. Here is a grab for when I exit the dialog by usign the mouse to click on another place on the screem the dialog stays active like its still waiting on input: Thje production version doesnt have these issues.
Looking at the latest Beta it looks like the Film Impact tools have become 'truly native' in that they have replaced their now 'legacy' Premiere Pro counterparts. When it was initially announced I already expressed some concerns regarding interopability. It would be really practical to see the effects also make it to AE because they seem very fast and have good appearance for what they do. But currently things as simple as - "Gaussian Blur" now does not translate over to AE and the Legacy one does. - Film Dissolve (Legacy) was later tuned to work nicely with ACEScct working space maintaining highlights but is now replaced by FI: Film Dissolve which looks dull like a display referred fade. (But at least the transition curves actually feel like starting at 0% rather than 20% like the legacy dissolves) The problem is that legacy tools will inevitably be deprecated so far from ideal to keep using them. Can Adobe say anything concrete about this problem? I would ho
When using the Firecut plugin in Premiere Pro beta, I experienced subtitle corruption. Any suggested solutions?
Is this new? If so why just these 4. Saturation numbers not properly displayed W11pro B32
Windows 11 Home Version 10.0.26100 Build 100 I believe I've followed all the correct instructions for this version here: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/object-masking.htmlThe problem: When I select any of the masking tools from the Object Mask on the toolbar, the results are the similar. When I use the Object Mask, I hover over the clip in the display window, and... it finds nothing. When I use the rectangle or ellipse tool, nothing happens when I go over the display. Is there a step I've left out? This could be a very useful feature for me since the studio where I record my video performances is so tight that it is impossible to get a shot of me playing my grand piano without the keyboard of my upright showing in the lower left corner...
