Premiere (Beta)

In the new UI present in Beta 24.4.0 (Build 20), when an audio track is collapsed to a certain height the FX badge, crossfade slider and name of track do not show. Here are tracks that are identical heights in 24.1 vs. the Beta 24.4  You can see how when the tracks are small I am able to see the track names, additionally by the changed color of the FX badge I also know the volume of the track has been modified. I can do this by eye without having to expand tracks in order to get that info. For those of us working on large projects with lots of tracks, we cannot afford to have giant audio tracks just to see track names, that info needs to always be visible if we want it to be. You can easily map Show Audio Track names to a shortcut key if you want to disable seeing them.

Tried to open Essential Graphics and it didn't work. So then I've tried to change to other workspace and it didn't have any effect.

Just updated Premiere Pro to 24.4.0 BETA (Build 21) And now suddenly all H.264 files are not displaying or rendering properly. They have a kind of purpulish hue and a lot of digital noise. ProRes and other file types look fine. Files play fine in VLC and Quicktime, rencoding to ProRes in Shutter encoder and importing into premiere is working as a workaround. MacOS 14 14.2.1iMac ProIntel Xeon W-2191B128 GB DDR4

Immediately upon clicking the "Transcribe" button the program crashes. And I mean IMMEDIATLY crashes with no option to report the crash. This is the ONLY reason I downloaded the Beta. 

I think maybe the classic colors disappeared in this update.

I use the Audio Track Mixer to apply effects to audio clips, then use the Track Fx Editor to tweak parameters. Often I'll toggle the effect on/off via the power button icon in the upper left of the Track Fx Editor to hear how my tweaks sound.  However, after updating to 24.2.1 (Build 2), I've found that the Track Fx (TFX) on/off toggle and the on/off toggle on the Audio Track Mixer (ATM) are now out if sync.  Turning an effect on/off via the ATM works as expected, controlling on/off toggle on both ATM and TFX. However, using the on/of control via the TFX puts the on/off toggles on the ATM and TFX out of sync.  This is wreaking havoc on my workflow as I now have to work within BOTH windows to hear the effects of parameter adjustments. This happens with both built-in effects (as shown in screen cap video) and 3rd party plugins. Happens within my current projects (started pre 24.2.1) as well as any newly created projects.  Anybody else experiencing this?

I'm using Premiere Pro Beta 24.4.0 on a Windows Desktop / Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64 based systems.  For the past couple of weeks, each time I open Premiere Pro, I get a NEW notice that says: :A newer ve rsion is available." I click on the message and go to the update page where both Premiere Pro and Photoshop show available updates. I update them at that time. However, the next day, I get the same notice. This strikes me as ridiculous. What is necessary to stop getting what I assume is buggy request?

1/17/2024 update to Premiere Pro Beta seems to have broken something. My "effect" didn't have this issue yesterday, but now it has. Check it both on my desktop and laptop and both have this issue. Steps to reproduce:    1. Turned off GPU acceleration to software. Turned it back on with CUDA, etc. Result: NothingExpected: Was hoping it would work. Rebooted yada yada yada, all the usual things, and nothing works System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v24.3.0.3    OS: Windows v10.0.22631, RAM: 31.64 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 32

Parameters in the intrinsic audio effects including Volume, Pan, and Channel Volume previously had the time-varying parameter (also know as Keyframing) default to ON. This meant that the Timer icon next to the intrinsic audio effects was, by default, turned on. Any change made to the effect slider in the Effects Control panel resulted in Keyframes being added to timeline. This effected Volume Bypass and Level, Channel Volume Bypass and Channel Volume, and the Panner or Balance controls.   As of today's Premiere Pro beta version, the default setting for time-varying (Keyframing) will be off by default. If setting keyframes for these effects is a regular part of your workflow, just remember to click the timer to on before you add keyframes from now on. This will not effect existing projects, only new ones. This change reflects customer feed back and also makes the Intrinsic audio effects behave like all other effects in the Effects Control Panel.  

I'm trying to edit simple videos: no audio whatsoever, color and light correction only, speed/duration, and stabilization (previously nesting the clip for it to work). I have done this type of editing before and never had any issues. But since yesterday every time I try to use Warp Stabilizer tool an error pops up: 'unknown exception on frame 0 in Warp Stabilizer'. I can't find any help online, I have nested the clip, I have changed the scale, I have uninstalled and re installed Premiere Pro, updated.. everything I can think of. But nothing helps. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm using a Macbook Pro 2019 and working with an external hard drive.  Thank you. 

The Essential Sound panel can be very helpul. I don't think we need the giant waveform icon with "Tag your clips..." When the UI is already jamb packed, could you please tighten it up like this?     

What am I doing wrong? I cant see the Adobe Podcast AI version of "Enhanced Speech" in essential sounds. Ive tried on an M2 Ultra Mac Studio and a M1 Max Macbook Pro - and no dice. All I see is an older version of Enhance Speech (with no slider), that doesnt have any of the AI features of the new version.... Please help!!  

On the latest beta, if you scale an asset on the "Effects Control" tab, it won't scale in real-time. The work around is to highlight the word "Scale" by clicking on it and then it will but is not an optimal workflow. Same with "Position". 

I often add a reverb effect to the very end of a music track that I've trimmed; that way, I can use the reverb to make any abrupt ending sound deliberate and natural. But I have to keyframe the dry out/wet out from "no effect" to "lots of effect" at the end of the piece because I don't want the reverb to affect the whole duration of the track. It's mildly tedious having to switch between viewing the "Dry Out" and "Wet Out" keyframes (I usually add the effect to a Mix track so I can still view my clip keyframes on my other tracks). It'd be lovely if, instead of having to choose which ONE thing's keyframes we can see, we could choose MULTIPLE things. It'd be even nicer if PPRo auto-assigned (maybe user-overridable?) different colours to each keyframe "channel".  I'm sure this would apply to many other situations too. Good idea, don't you think?

Hi,i try to export my project to an external SSD. Just at the end of the process a window pops up with "unknown error" and "safe and retry". Of course i did, but it does not help. Closed and reopend. The changes to clips on the timeline are frustrating as hell. The new FX box means that it's virtually impossible to select small clips without zooming in. I don't understand the need for the FX box as most users will have the Effects Controls easily to hand in their workspace anyway and if supposedly making it easier to get to the ECs makes it virtually impossible to select short clips, this is just one step forward and two steps back. Please supply a fix for this infuriating problem that is ruining my workflow. 

theres a weird bug in 2024 beta where if i zoom around with alt and scroll theres a chance premiere no longer accepts input from the scroll wheel until 1: the timeline is clicked with the mouse.2: i zoom out/in a little bit more then scroll wheel re-enables

Current Beta on Mac. 24.4.16. My cursor changed from the solid arrow to this funny one and is not reactive, for instance when grabbing the end of a clip and turning into the rolling edit. And then after I came back from uploading the image here it went back to normal.

1. Warp stabilization does not work. "Unknown exception on frame 0 in Warp Stabilizer." 2. Sliding position and scale in the Motion part of effects does not show real-time changes in the playback window unless you highlight the "Motion" heading. 3. Color Matching crashes the program every time.

slip tool did not show previews in premiere pro beta. when scrubbing or trimming, the thumnails in the preview window not see but the action is taking place in the timeline area

Search bar/function not working.  I have several clips with keywords in the Description column.  I am literally looking at the text itself and when I type the word into the search bar, everything goes away with no results.  I tried Cmd+F and also tried to create a search folder.  Nada.I believe there's a 24.4 Beta update, but last time I used it, exporting wasn't working so I gotta stay in 24.3.Premiere Pro 24.3 Build 44iMac Pro 2017Ventura 13.6.3
