Premiere Elements

The project assets window has stopped opening for any new project. (It still works fine when I open an earlier project)I havent changed PC or software (Windows 10, Premiere Elements 2020)Restoring workspace makes no difference.. Same with rebooting the PC The Project Assets drop down arrow next to the Add Media button (which does work) is stull visible, and highlights when the mouse passes over it, but doesnt reposnd to a click.It also wont open from the menu Window>Project AssetsAny ideas? 

On the Adobe website I read the system requirements for each of these programs: Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements.There appeared to be no greater system requirement for Premier Elements than for Photoshop Elements.Did I read that correctly? Is that your experience, for those who have used both?So if Photoshop Elements 2021 works well for me with my system, then should I expect Premier Elements to work as well?Are system demands of Premier Elements any greater than system demands of Photoshop Elements?I was sent to this forum by the Photoshop Elements Forum admin for this question. I currently have an HP Envy 700-406 computer with 12 GB RAM.  That seems to be doing fine in Photoshop Elements 2021 for the type of minimal editing I do. I am toying with the idea of adding another 4 to 8 GB of RAM and installing a 1 TB SSD.

I had a Windows 10  64 bit update on my laptop that disabled my former version of Premier Elements 15 that came with with Photoshop. I tried to reinstall it from DVD. I was able to install Photoshop but got the following error prompts in Premier Elements 15.Organizer Database is corrupt.Trying to recover it.Failed to recover.Creating new Organizer Database.The catalog could not be opened.It is either corrupt, or theversion is out of date andcannot be updated. Previous video projects opened and played, but I could not add new media. When I tried to move it from project assets to the time line, the program shuts down. I then downloaded and installed Premier Elements 15 again, and still got the same error prompt - so this new downloading rather than installing off the DVD didn't solve this problem. What do I do next to get past this problem? Thanks in advance for your help! And I've read all the related posts listed below but they do not address this specific

Hello,Premiere Elements is running extremely slow on my 2019 iMac, even without any media loaded into the project. Specs of my iMac are:3,7 GHz 6‑Core Intel Core i5 16 GB RAMRadeon Pro 580X 8 GB I would expect it to not be able to work properly with 4K material, but running slow right from the start seems pretty odd to me. When playing back short HD clips (around 3 mins) while browsing through effects CPU usage jumps over 100%, not to mention export when it hits over 500%. Installed the program twice with no luck. Adobe suggests trying to locate and change the content of the folder "~/Library/Logs/Creative Cloud/Creative Cloud Libraries", but it doesn't exist, so I'm not able to change anything. Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.  

So I tried using this tutorial - https://filmora.wondershare.com/video-editing-tips/premiere-elements-how-to-combine-videos.html .....but that doesn't apparently tell me what I'm wanting to do.... I have one video playing from the start, and then about 7 seconds in or so, I would like to have a 2nd video 'slide' into the left half of the screen and half both videos playing for the remainder of the video, each occupying 50% of the screen. Can someone give direct me to a tutorial on how to do that? Thanks!

 I purchased the Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premier 2021 and a new laptop. I’ve been working with Version 11 on my old laptop. I followed the directions to back up my catalog to an external hard drive and restore to the new laptop. In trying to import the backed up catalog to the new computer it changes the file name. How to I keep my previous format? Additionally, I tried to restore the catalog to the new computer but there is not enough memory to store the pictures. Is there a way to keep the picture on the external hard drive and the catalog on the computer?

I'm Running Premeiere Elements 2020 on a Dell PC, Intel (R) UHD Graphics 620The preview screen displays horizontal green lines over the video - even with a simple still text image it does the sameI've updated the video driver to the latest version from Dell but now I'm stuck to know how I can continue using the application Ideas welcome!UPDATE: I have a workaround sorted for this by using an old Dell driver. Hoping they update the new one in a way that works.

 premiere elements 2018 mov file shows as an audio file

Does anyone else have this issue and know the solution please? I have a GoPro Hero 9 Black. I record 4k 60fps.  I have the .hevc codec installed on my windows 10 64bit pc and on about 75% of occasions the files import into Premiere Elements 2020 no problem, but on others I get an error saying I need the codec - they are exactly the same file type as those that worked.  It's a whole batch that will fail, not just one or two.  Sometimes I change the battery and set to record again. The first batch will import, the 2nd won't. Everything is identical. These files open absolutely fine in every other program that can view video on my pc.   It's hugely frustrating to have to convert before I can use. Thanks!

Hi, posting in this thread as I have issues exporting as well. I have created a family video with lots of snippets, photos and music. It's 1hour 22 mins long. Everything rendered well but when I go to export to a DVD on my Microsoft surface it says no burners available even though I have one attached through a usb point. I tried to export as an mp4 so I could share via a private YouTube video but it says i don't have enough space available to do this as the file must be pretty huge 😞 I successfully burned dvds on my old laptop with an inbuilt burner but could only use elements 12 on that as the new software isn't compatible and there are some files that the 12 version says it doesn't support so that's why I purchased the new verison which I just can't seem to export anywhere 😞 any ideas would be much appreciated! Sorry if I've not used all the correct terminology. Quite new to this!    Different problem, branched to new message... Mod

Hello!Does anyone else have problem with captured video, I have just captured an avi file in PRE9.when I try and import it to PRE15 I get the message. "unable to import unsupported file". Any idea why, please?

I was unable to create my latest video without agreeing to a trial use of Premiere Elements even though I purchased it months ago.  Now I have a watermark on my videos that I cannot erase following the steps outlined in another post.  I am also unable to see my plans or trials on my account.  I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the product.  Assistance would be appreciated. 

I have PE 15 and have an option to burn my project woth menue/submenues directly to BD disc or create ISO file and burn disc later using another software (I use BurnAware free software). I assune that 2021 package is more sofisticated than 2015. I also know that can't burn BD directly from PE 2021.Which options do I have to eventually burn my project to BD disc in PE 2021?I do not mind to use another software to do it if the project output file in PE 2021 is compatible with it. Thanks. Hey All, I am fairly new to the video editing world and am trying to understand a blurry video issue. I am working on a project that has 17 tracks and if I look at the individual video it seems clear, but when activating all the videos and trying to play them together, they are blurry.  I don't know if it's a setting issue or a memory issue. I am using Premiere Elements 2020 on an iMac (21.5 inch - 2017) with 8GB ram and 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 processor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  i pay now A 2021, same problem as in A 2019. version 17 and 19. I can see Debug lista point where i can chance false to true in this option i can open editor in A 2019. One i have try to open A 2021, but may handicapped  and it chance not formation in debug lista and not (Spam Link Removed by Mod)projects name in headsite. I have two different audio tracks on separate video tracks. I want to replace a section of the audio on 1st video track with a section of audio from 2nd video track. Clicking and dragging one audio track to the other audio track does not duplicate the audio track, it just moves it. If I copy the audio track I can't find a way to specify where I want to paste it. Is there a way to do this?

New Premiere trial install on new Dell XPS 15 laptop.  This is what I get, no idea why.  Any hints, comments appreciated.

Was importing 4k iphone vides downloaded from iCloud to do vide editing.Got HEVC and HEIF error from Adobe Premiere Elements Video Editor, followed istructions and installed both codecs, (had tp pay 99 cents for the HEVC)Installed, cleared Adobe cache. restarted app still getting error. Restarted the PC as well and cleared cache, still having same issues, any help will be appreciated.I know the codec is successfully installed because I'm able to play my iphone 4k videos on windows media player after installing codec.

I want to add special effects to clips for my video, but every time I try to "drag and drop" any effect the entire application freezes and I'm forced to use Task Manager to close it down. Thankfully it autosaved my work before messing up but it really feels like I'm not getting what was paid for if I can't use a whole part of the whole application.

Does anyone know if the 2021 version of Premier Elements allows you to randomly shuffle the photos or videos prior to creating the .mp4 video. with Photoshop Elements limiting you to 250 photos in their slideshow we have had to upgrade to Premier Elements. Unfortunately 2020 Premier Elements does not allow shuffling. thanksed

I would like get the wisdom of this forum for installing Adobe software on a new computer which is different from my current computer. I currently have a Windows 7 PC. I am thinking of buying a Mac. However, I would like to hold on to my Windows PC for sometime as I have got a lot of stuff on it. I have a combined Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 and Adobe Premiere Elements 2020 package for Windows. I have 2 questions.I would like to confirm that my license allows installation on 2 computers ?What if the two computers are different – one is Windows and the other is Mac ? Can I have the Windows+Mac installations with my purchase ? In other words, can the 2 computers be different ? One Windows and the other Mac ?

Hello, Using a HD camrecorder with memory cards, I produce video clip files which are numbered 1 to N on each card (.MTS files in my case). These files are transfered to AVCHD directories of my computer, obviously different for each memory card. Thus there are on my computer several .MTS files which have the same name, for example 00168.MTS, but are different in content and placed in different directories. In order to view, rate and select such MTS files prior to incorporation to a Premiere Element project timeline, I first import all MTS files from different directories to an Element Organizer Catalogue which class them by clip date and time. Using both 2019 and 2021 Element Organizer versions, I have discovered that, on some instances, the sound tracks of such video clips are either totally or partially replaced by sound tracks of  video clips wearing thge same file name (but situated on different computer directories).
