I would like to have the Premiere Elements folder (Premiere Elements/ and the subdirectories) under my Videos folder in Windows 10. I see that I might be able to do some of it via 'scratch disks' but can I change a setting so that it looks for that directory and everything under it in a directory I specify (preferably Videos/Premiere Elements)? Would backing up and restoring the catalog to that location work? I can work with it as is.... I would just prefer it to be different. I will probably be upgrading to 2020 pretty soon so if the answer is different for that version please let me know
Please see this as constructive criticism, but the Premiere Elements 2020 is somehow not a great step forward. I try to export a 20 minute video (h264 Source) (FullHD h264) and after 8h the process is still not finished!!!My System (2015) is anything but weak-breasted i7 Quadcore 32GB Ram 2x 1TB SSD 2x GTX980 SLIYou have a button for hardware acceleration - why doesn't your software use the hardware that's there? Nvidia GPUs are not used for playback or rendering processes! I have now used 2 effects in the project - once VideoDenoiser (High Quality) and the shake-up optimization (detailed). These are without question not the simplest effects but I would have expected if you already offer hardware acceleration that hardware that is there is also addressed. Here everything runs via the CPU. Since CS2, I have been using Premiere Elements and Pro primarily the Elements because it is sufficient for my purposes. But now Blueray Authoring is completely missing!? Who has slipped
I'm new to adobe Premiere Elements and purchased 2020. My very first video is(mp4) is portrait. How can I convert it to landscape?
Good morningHave just upgraded to the above from Elements 14. This is showing on my laptop as well as the new 2020 version. Is it necessary to delete the old versions please?Thankyou
The main reason to switch to PSE 2020 (from 2019) was the support of H.265. But this support seams not to be existing in real life 😞 I tried a lot. And I tried everything mentioned in the documentation and in this forum. Maybe someone has an idea what I can try more than:- I installed the HEVC Package of Windows before I installed PSE. It is the only HEVC Package on my Computer- after I got the Message of PSE that HEVC is not supported, I cleared the Media-Cache- I reinstalled the HEVC Package, resinstalled PSE, clreared the cache ... everything at least 5 times the last days- PSE still says "no HEVC support".- I can play HEVC videos with windows player- I installed the most current driver of my nVidia GTX 1661 TI.- I disabled the nVidia- I re-encoded the videos (originals from iPhone) with handbrake and x265 codec ... noting worked for me. Has anybody an idea what I should try? Thanks!Torsten
When I hit the play button, the audio is heard, but there is no video preview on the window above. The screen has the add media button or whatever editing buttons you last used. There is never any playback. My videos are .mod files. My computer is old, but I had it upgraded to Windows 10.
I have a digital sign for which I need to create vids that have an aspect ration of 800 X 240. I cannot figure out how to create a project with that aspect ratio. See attached video. In another vid progran I use, no matter the project template, when I import a vid, it would ask if I want to set the project to that ratio. I then choose yes or no depending on the project. I have found there is no way to alter an aspect ration of any of the template designs. Also I am not asked to match a vid aspect ration upon import. Is there a way I can create my own video template design?
I have Premere Elements 12 running on an iMac with High Sierra 10.13. I want to crop a video clip, not trim. In otherwords, I have a video clip I like that has about 25% on the right hand side something I'd like to get rid of. I don't even care if by cropping it the display will show a big black box on the right hand side. It's only for a few seconds, but I'd like to get that part of the frame out of my video. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Rick
I purchased Adobe Elements a few months ago. I decided I wanted to get a new SSD because my original one was too small. I tried to transfer my apps over, but they did not work. I tried uninstalling and was still unable to put them on the new SSD. I decided I would just keep Photoshop and Premier on my original SSD, and save my work elsewhere. The issue is now when I go to reinstall I get an error Code: 199. I clicked the get help link, there was no error code listed on the site. I tried restarting my computer, but I still can't reinstall. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, i'd greatly appreciate it.
First issue I could not hear audio from internet while using google chrome which included tutorials from photoshop. Chnged to microsoft and culd hear the audio. Next could not hear audio in premier elements15 organizer. I coul hear the audio when I put the video clips into the editor. I could hear the audio a few months ago in chrom and in the arganizer. So can anyone help???
When I drop 60 FPS GoPro footage at a 4:3 scale it is distorted in PE 2020. See image. All other versions of HEVC or 60 FPS footage works regardless if it is Iphone or GoPro as long as it is not 4:3 scale and 60 FPS. Weirdly specific error. Please help to overcome this error. I purchased PE 2020 after having purchased 2019 just to overcome the HEVC conversion to Handbrake issue. It is weird that only a file in those dimensions has issues. Yes, the handbrake conversion process of the files with issues fixes it. To be clear, I am running PE 2020 in a very capable editing desktop. I just purchased PE 2020 so that I can edit HEVC footage. All of my footage works fine.
I'm a newbie working mostly with stills from an epic trip. I'd sure like to get the workflow right before investing a lot of time in my movie. If I bring an image into Elements it recognizes it correctly and shows clearly in the (static) preview window, but whether I render it or not it looks substantially degraded when playing, either in a small window or full screen. Exporting even to UHD format still shows substantially degraded images. (The source images themselves show beautifully on my 2560x1440 display.) Once I'm able to include images with minimum degradation the plan would be to rely on pan-and-zoom a fair bit, so resizing them in advance may not be practical. What preset should I be using? (Final output could be directly to an HD display or to Vimeo.)What am I missing? Thanks! I'm attaching a sample image. Even if I deliberately downsample the image to 1080 rows in height the left side of the brim of hat worn by the
I purchased Photoshop & Premiere Elements 14 (the 2015 version). Since I use Photoshop a lot, but only use Premiere very little, when I bought Elements 2018, I only bought Photoshop. When I installed that, it removed my Premiere Elements completely. 2 years later, I'd like to make another video. I'm sure I will have issues with the Organizer, but if I try to reinstall Premiere Elements 14, will it remove my 2018 software, or remove all the tags/names/pictures I have saved in Organizer? I'm having a hard time finding any information online to help me.
I’m trying to export a 1 minute video. The video only contains text and still pictures. It doesn’t have any "video” clips. I need to email it so I need it to be less than 25 MB.
I've tried CTRL+ALT+[DOWN,UP,LEFT,RIGHT] as indicated in the documentation to no avail. I've tried it with a text object, clip and graphic in the Monitor area. Still doesn't work. The shortcut for snap S does nothing. I've started new fresh test projects and I still cannot snap or align objects in the Monitor area. I mean, there should be a way to snap a clip to the centre in the monitor, right? Using elements 2019 by the way.
Can anyone help? I used Screenrec to record audio and screen recording video which is full-screen and clear in the original file, but comes out unuseable after rendering and exporting after editing audio in Adobe Premiere Elements. As far as I can tell the files types and export sizes/bitrate are compatible... but I am new to this. Original: Export:
Hello everybody, thanks to help me. We have issue with adobe premiere element when we close a project. It is not possible to open a new project.
Hello. I have a disk copy of Adobe Premiere Elements 10. I want to install it on my laptop, but it doesn't have a disc drive. How may I go about doing that if it is possible? Thanks, Tristan
While applying motion effects to still images I see that I have some options for both Temporal and Spatial Interpolation in addition to Ease in and Ease Out. Through lots of experimentation and trial and error I have been able to create unique motion paths using keyframes. However, it seems that though the shape of the keyframe marker changes when you set different options such as Bezier or Auto Bezier or Continuous Bezier, other than for Ease In and Ease Out, there does not seem to be any real change in what actually happens or my path options. Can anyone advise me as to where to go to get more detailed information on these options in both Temporal and Spatial Interpolation. I have searched every place I can think of for additional details with no success so far.TIA
Sorry for such an elementary question. But, I'm interested in editing continuous drone video. My pitiful current editor will not, with ease, edit center portions to create clips which can then be used with transitions. Will Premier Elements 2020 take an 8-10 minute continuous video and allow for clipping pieces out with relative ease? Everything I've read details "trimming". Current crap software will trim from the ends. Appreciate a quick word from the pros.
I have a clip that is a picture of an email and I want to highlight part of the text. I need to draw attention to the text. Is there a way to put a box around it?
