Premiere Elements

Hard drive died, retrieved all data, installed new hard drive, installed updated version of premiere elements (from 12 to 18), moved all files and projects on to new hard drive. I can see all the files and I understand they are not projects in my newly uploaded version. can I move my projects into the new version? all I get is offline content.

Hi all,I am interested in Premiere Elements 15, because I use Windows 7, AVCHD, Blu-ray and Intel Quick Sync Video. But does this program use Intel Quick Sync Video?

For those who have used both, does Premiere Elements pretty much match the capabilities of Final Cut Express HD? What are the pluses and minuses?

Finding it impossible to edit 4k video because of the laggy playback in the preview. Trying to render the timeline gets me nowhere, it just doesn't work. At all. Is it possible to use proxies with 2019 or no? I briefly tried Premier Pro and the timeline is overly complicated compared to Elements so I'd rather stick with what I know, but if it can't handle 4k video any better than this I need to find an alternative. 

Hi I'm working in 15 and struggling to burn my video to a DVD.  Gone to export and share, clicked Disc and DVD.  In type iv'e ticked Disc.  Now its saying no burners available, no burners detected.  Can you explain what I need so that I can complete the process through the program instead of having to download the ISO file from 15 to my laptop.  I have been able to burn my disc by selecting the TS folder from the ISO  in my documents on the laptop.  Appreciate any help thanks

I have a project in Premire Elements 14 which is a compilation of short films. I am attempting to create a disc menu but am having a problem when burning to Blu-ray disc.By following the instructions in Steve Grisetti's book (the Muvipix guide) I have set a blue menu marker for the start, and a red stopper marker for the end of each movie with the titles typed into the text boxes. I've selected a menu template on which the title of each film is displayed and when I preview the disc, clicking the play buttons plays each film and then returnes to the main menu page so all seems to be working correctly in the project.I have tried burnihng a Blu ray disc but when I play this via a Blu ray player the films do not revert to the main menu after showing and simply continue playing the next film on the list. However, a DVD that I burned works perfectly.I wonder if anyone can suggest what I might be doing wrong and how can I burn a blu ray disc which works correctly?  

I recently upgraded from PE 2018 to PE 2020 due to the claimed support for h265/hevc video on Windows 10.  I spent the 99 cents to download the recommended app from Microsoft.  I can import h265 content and things seem fine at first, but when I attempt to scroll through the preview timeline the entire program slows to a crawl.  Eventually the preview simply stops showing.  Even if I open a different project the program continues to hang.  Also, if I attempt to render the timeline the "rendering" dialog hangs on the very first frame indefinitely.  Also, the program gets botched so badly that the background service continues to run even after I close the program from the menu.  I have to end up manually terminating the lingering process with the task manager before I can start it up again.  My system can handle h265/hevc video just fine in VLC and the Movies app.  I can even play 240fps h265 video at normal speed with few hiccups.  L

I would like to Publish & Share my freshly edited video to a USB stick for future viewing on other computers and also plugged into the USB port on my "Smart TV".What would be the recommended Format & Settings?On laptops, I have had success with playing back the video on USB as MPEG with the Preset selection HDTV 1080p 24 High Quality, however it stalls when plugged into the TV.I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 12suggestions welcome ...thank you

Freshly installed 2020 version, and the moment a .mov is inserted to the timeline the program freezes. Works with all other formats, and the .mov plays otherwise in any media player installed. Cannot find a path so far to stop the freeze.

Running Elements 2020 on Windows 10 Pro. I have 18 folders containing 187 video files. Total size of all files is 356 GB. These are stored on a fast SSD.  Have tried importing these to Organizer. Organizer will display correct thumbnails for some files. But it shows the gray box with an hourglass for the majority. And when I double-click on one of the grayed-out thumbnails, then Organizaer hangs and stops responding.  When browsing the files in Windows Explorer, they display thumbnails correctly and play without issue.  I've left Organizer running overnight, thinking it just needed time to rebuild the cache. It still failed to rebuild the thumbnails.  Getting very frustrated with the product. Appreciate any help. Thanks. 

Way back when...I purchased the pkg of photoshop elements 12 and premiere elements 12. Insatlled the photoshop piece with no issues. At the time I had no need for video editing software. Now I do.When trying to install the premiere piece the executable file is greyed out.I am using a mac and it has been upgraded to Catalina, not sure if this presents issues but I'm stuck. Any help is appreciated.Thx

After the latest update Priemer elements 2019 audio play back stopped working.  When I edit a video and try to plauy it back I dont get any audio.  Every thing was fine before the update.  All other audo works fine. Ithe updates Help>updates is graded out so I can up date anythnig. I have checked drives and they all working fine  I have updated all my windows drivers i am using windows 10 1909 build 18363.476.  Need help ..thanks 

Hi All, just before the last windows update (1909 I believe) the sound worked fine. But now all sound has been disabled because of 'MME not working'. All other programs with sound work correctly so no problem with windows system. Cannot change from MME as no other options given.Any ideas as to what could be wrong please?

I am working on a 1230 clips project with Premiere 15.0. I rendered a first video but when I open it know to make some modifications, Premier 15 crashes just after it is charged as soon I want to do anything. Sometimes, it won't charge being stuck on one clip. The CPU charge is about 30 %. Is there a recommanded maximum number of clips for a good working ? In Premiere V12, and probably in all versions, in the Clip menu > Field Options  > Always Deinterlace.I have been told to perform this exercise before burning a disc.I can't see any difference in the video when I do or do not perform the editing steps.  Am I missing something?

Hi, I just purchased the Premiere Elements 2020 bundle and received the CD in a box. I realized that the computer where I intended to install it, doesn't have a CD Rom drive. I would need to dowload the software. Will my purchase allow me to access Elements online and dowload it? Thanks! Bruce

Hello,I am working with Premiere Elements 2018 - now I want to export my project with the allready inserted scene marks to a MP4-File.Is there any option to get the existing scene marks as chapter marks in MP4-Export-File so that i can easily jump between chapters in VLC-Player?Thanx for any feedback!

For some reason my Premier Elements 2019 won't play clip when I add it to the timeline, every thing else works, I sse the clip, I can scroll through the clip but when I hit the play button nothing happens. I tried reinstalling and that did not help. It was working before, I did install Resolve to check it out not sure if that  caused a problem, (Resolve seems to work). This is on a high end gaming laptop so hardware should not be an issue, like I said it was working before Resolve but I don't see why that would cause a problem.Any help appreciated.
