I try to bring up a previous project that I did in elements (earlier version I believe) and I keep getting the error "file appears to be damaged." how can I fix?
I had put together some footage on Premiere Elements with no effects. Literally just one clip after another. The footage was running absolutely no problem whatsoever. I clicked render and after it had finished rendering the video was running a lot slower than the sound and is now massively out of sync. I started a new project and it did it again. It only happens after the footage has been rendered. However I decided to export it to see what would happen and once it was exported it runs perfectly fine. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome as it's very difficult to edit with the video and sound not running together. Thanks (:
I can no longer get Premier Elements 15 video editor to run. I've tried reloading the program, but it always fails when it reaches the point to loading AEDX.AEX.I am running Windows 10 v1709 64 bit. It has previously functioned perfectly.I thought this might have been due to a Windows Update, but I have gone back to 1709 which has been stable for a long time. I see there are some posts about the same issue with Premier Pro 2019 so I wonder if this is an Adobe problem.Any ideas?
Why do some of my video clips change speed after render, but audio stays the correct speed? I can't find a fix for this. Please help...
I'm using Premiere Elements 15 and have not found a way to do something. So in an image editor, if you crop an image the result is a new image whose size is determined by the crop. Apparently PE doesn't work that way - if I start with, say, a 1920 x 1080 video and crop it, I still have a 1920 x 1080 video with the uncropped part of the frame blacked out.Is there a way to crop the video so as to actually change the format so for example if I crop to a small 192 x 108 area in the center of the frame then I will end up with a 192 x 108 format video? I've also attempted to change the project settings but the 1920 x 1080 numbers are not editable.Thank you.
Hello,I've just started using Premiere Elements 15 and when I put videos and pictures on my timeline, the preview isn't playing. I'm trying to click play but nothing is happening. I'm on Windows 10, could it be a compatibility problem? Thanks,Lucile
MerciPhilippe Gosseries
Hi,I am running Premiere Elements 12 (version 12.1 (20140225.12.620828)) with the latest updates, on 64 bit Windows 10.I have had the programming running for a few weeks and managed to edit and export a few simple videos using the basic timeline functions. The File menu works, about half the edit menu is grayed out and all of the clip & text menus are grayed out. I can see the options but cannot select any of them. I have been into Organizer and turned off all of the auto-analyzer options however this made no difference. What should I try next to gain access to all of the menu functions?
Adobe Premiere Elements 2019Windows 10 Home version 1809Problem as above. In related answers to this kind of problem the answer has been that the support has been moved to the OS and that it should work in Windows 10.IT DOES NOT !Microsoft states that there is no AC3 filter support for IA-64 !!!This is probably the reason. So now we are forced to use a video converter. AARGH !!
I have used other photo editing software and one of the effects was making a still photo/JPEG shake as a transition. Can't seem to do that in elements. Any suggestions?
I have a really large monitor, so no need for a second one. However, I would like to use Premier Elements 2019 on half my monitor while watching Netflix or something on the other half. I try to use the "maximize" button in the top right corner to remove the program from full screen, but it does nothing. I try to use the cursor along the edges to drag it smaller. That does nothing. What am I missing? Why can't I put the program on only half my screen?
Hi there! There are loads of videos on how to add a title text etc. but I want to add a background colour to my subtitles / captions and I can't find anything on how to do this. I'd like this to be a gradient / a bit transparent so you can see the video behind the colour. Other programmes seem to offer this, but I'm struggling to see how to do this. Please can someone help?!

I have a new computer HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-cn0xxx. It runs on Windows 10 and I keep it updated. While using Premiere Elemets 2018, I noticed that I did not give any sound. All the settings seemed to be ok and other app’s did produce sound. After a web search I decided to re-install Premiere Element 2018. When I use Premiere now, I cannot start viewing the film while in the editing mode. So I looked for updates from Windows and installed them, I re-installed Premiere again and I checked all the HP upodates. No improvement. After installing you latest update this morning I noticed a difference in memory usage. Situation now:- I cannot view the film while in the editing mode (pressing “SPACE” does not work)- Quiting Premiere does not work; when I want to stop the app, I have to do it in the Windows processes screen by ending the Adobe app.- When I create a M

I have built a video in Premiere Elements 7 and I'm trying to save the video as H.264 format. When I click Save, I'm getting an "Activating Component" dialog that says I must activate this component in order to use this feature. It says "Go this this website: www.adobe.com/go/encoderactivation" but when I click the link, I get a "404 Page Not Found" message. Can someone advise me how to complete this activation so I may save my video? Thanks for your help.

I’m using Adobe Premiere Elements 15, and I’m facing a problem with the sound of a converted movie file. I have sound, but no voice or dialogue when I put a video on a timeline. Everything is working great with the file itself, but when I try to edit on a timeline - I barely can hear voices, only background sounds and music. It's like the program automatically doing that. But in some parts the voices are heard fine, but most of the time not. The program's player doesn't have that issue, It happens only if I try to edit video (put it on timeline) I converted the file from MKV to MP4. In a previous forum topic, another user with the same problem solved it. He wrote: “I fixed the problem by reinstalling my codecs. Video: 1920x1032, 18,7 Mb/sec, 59.940 frame rate, AVC, x264,Audio: AC-3, 448 Kb/sec, 6 channels, 48,0 Ghz When I play the video on a timeline I do hear audio - but voices sound are very low (dialogues, screams, speeches and etc). I don't mix several tracks, only two - video an
I have an image with some blue screen areas.Premiere removes the blue, as intended.I put three videos behind the still image, and size and position them to show up in the 'holes' where the blue patches were.In Premiere everything looks right when I run the video. When I export the video (custom export the same size as the initial image 720 x 540), the videos behind the image have all moved randomly. What I tried to fix it.I tried starting again from scratch; same problem.Shut down and restarted Premiere.Rebooted Windows 10.I tried a different formats (WMV and AVI).I tried adding only one of the videos behind the image, but exporting also moved the video behind the image so it was out of place.
Sound, but no voice or dialogue when I put a video on a timeline. It's very strange. Everything is working great, but when I try to edit on a timeline - I barely can hear voices, only background sounds and music. It's like the program automatically doing that. But in some parts the voices are heard fine, but most of the time not. I usually working with movie editing. And it happens very often. I convert them from MKV to MP4 or AVI. I don't have that problems with animated cartoons though. All settings are default. Pls help. The program's player doesn't have that issue, It happens only if I try to edit video (put it on timeline)
How do I load my Gopro 7 videos into Premiere Elements 2019? Windows 10 64bit....It just says no supported Codec...how could adobe not include that?
Is it possible to render 4k in 60fps using Adobe premiere elements 12? My subscription to premiere pro CC ran out and I can't afford to renew it at this time, so I'm trying to use my old Premiere elements 12 for the editing I have been doing lately. I have tried the following:But when I change the frame rate to 59.94fps, I get the following error:But as you can see in the first screenshot, the profile and level are already as high as they go. I get the same error if I change to square pixels or check the "Render at Maximum Depth" box, not sure if those are expected to help. I have also tried reducing the profile and level, which may sound counter intuitive, but just to see if that could possibly work I've tried it and it doesn't seem to work. Thanks,Derek
Hey!I've been using Premiere Elements 14 for a couple years and I've never had this problem for more than an hour. It's been 3 days and I can't get Premiere Elements to stop a severe lag in editing as well as huge export times. It's said anywhere from 3 days to 18 hours to 2 hours for small files. I'm going a little nuts because I work from home & using Elements is a big part of my job! Help so appreciated.I have updated Windows, my GeForce driver, and just upgraded to Premiere Elements 15 as well. Not quite sure what I should be putting here to help but here are some specs: Intel{R] Core [TM} i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHzInstalled RAM: 16.0 GBSystem type 64-bit osWindows 10Thank you!
I have made a video outdoors on a beautiful day with bright sunshine and fluffy clouds. Every time a cloud passes by, the picture goes darker, when the sun reappears, the video looks great. Is there any way to prevent the great difference in the 'brightness' or 'exposure' (whichever is relevant)? Or once it is recorded, can it be adjusted--like maybe a video gain effect?
