Dear Community, I am using Premiere Elements 2020 for years and for my new computer I installed the 2022 trial version to see if I would upgrade. I am using a i7-12700k & Geforce RTX 3060 ti. The intel GPU is not compatible since it is very new. After I set my 3060 ti as default in the Nvidia-Settings Premiere Elements detected it. There is even written that the GPU is supported but still GPU-Acceleration is greyed out. Besides that, the Mercury Software Engine says "software only". Where can I set it to GPU? Does anybody have an idea how to fix that? BestMarco
I've been using Premier Elents 14 on my new computer for over a month but today when i opend it says that my serial number is invalid and that I should contact support. I did contact them but they coulden't help me
Premiere Elements 2023 compresses footage shot in portrait mode when you render the timeline. Premiere Elements 2023 running on Apple Silicon / M2Footage: 4k / 3840x2160 / 29.97 / Pixel Aspect Ration 1.0 / Codec: H 264 4:2:0- No effects have been applied to the footage- Timeline settings are the same as the footage- Same error occurs with 1080p footage- Both 4k and 1080 landscape footage render properly. The black bars only occur in portrait mode. Any solutions?
Premiere Elements 2023 - OS X - Apple Silicon I'm getting massive artifacts when applying any effect to footage in both the render and the export.I'm trying to do a very simple color grade. Nothing crazy. Both the footage and the sequence are 3840 x 2160 / Pixel Aspect Ratio 1.0 I think Premiere Elements can't handle: DJI's D-Cinelike Color Profile --- but others have color graded their footage using it no problem. Footage Video Codec is: MP4/MOV H.264 10 bit 4:2:0 Issue still occurs if I check / uncheck Max Bit Depth on Render too. The attached file is the 10 second color grade using iMovie vs Premiere Elements. The comparison is to show that it's not the footage as the issue. Suggestions?
I see folders in organizer that are no longer on the hard drive but I can't remove them.
We have typed in multiple lines of text by initially clicking in the monitor screen. Now when we attempt to resize the text object, it also resizes and skews the text versus resizing just the selected text box. How do we convert the typed text into a text box or paragraph text so we can resize the box and re-wrap text without changing the text size at the same time? Thank you for any assistance.
One of our most common frustrations is trying to enter text titles on light video backgrounds. In such cases, we struggle to see the white textbox frame, extents, or text during creation. This makes it hard to add, select, insert, move, or perform other text operations prior to changing the text color or adding a shape or frame behind the text. Is there a way to turn OFF the video background in the monitor, leaving a black background and just the text? This would allow us to easily see the text frame, extents, and text during initial creation. To date, our only best practices workaround has been the following: Create a large black shape as the background.Insert text box over black background. You can now see the text frame, extents, and text.Resize and change attributes of both the background shape and the text to desired settings.Drag select both objects and move to the desired location. Thank you for any assistance.
I wonder whether anyone could help me please? I note on the Adobe website that they reference the removal of the Movie Menu from the Tools bar in Premiere Elements 2023. Also, when searching 'Movie Menu' or 'disc menu' on the Adobe's help function, it only refers to Tools>Movie Menu, given that the help information has not been updated since September 2021. Therefore, I was wondering whether anyone knows how to create a DVD menu in Premiere Elements 2023 or is it simply a case that I can't be done? Markers can still be added to the video, which would suggest that there may still be a way but I certainly can't figure it out. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you.
Video playing OK in main window when first put onto timeline. But as soon as effects are added e.g transitions or text, the video is pixelated. Its OK after rendering but I didn't need to do that on previous versions of PE. I have the latest graphics drivers installed on an i5 Dell PC with 8Gb RAM and 1 SSD drive. 19th December: This is still a problem.Am I missing a setting for the project? Is there a bug in PE 2023 or is it a limitation?
I'm experienced at photo editing, and new to video editing. I'm trying to edit this video, where the road is at an angle: I want it to be straight like this: When I rotate the video in Premiere Elements, I get black corners:Obviously, I don't want those. I know I can zoom in the video to fill the canvas, but I instead want to crop and reduce the canvas size. For example, there might be too much stuff above the road which I want to crop out. I want to do this visually, by dragging a crop rectangle, rather than choosing an aspect ratio. I don't know what aspect ratio I want. I want to try it out visually and make a decision based on esthetics rather than numbers like 2.39:1. How do I do that? This is similar to how in Lightroom, I rotate and crop a photo based on what looks good. When I export it, the exported photo has a lower width and height in pixels. How do I do this for a video in Premiere Elements?
When I make a dvd slideshow, my horizontal pictures do not "fit screen". My vertical pics fit to the top but the others are so small. How can I adjust this?
I have a Dell XPS 17 (2021 model with an 11th gen i7 cpu) with 64 gigs of ram with over 650 gbs of drive space running Windows 11 and using a wired, gigabit internet connection. I was able to download and to run the 2023 installer, but the first attempt had it stop at 12% installation for over 7 hours. I restarted the computer and tried again to run the installer and the installation this time stopped at 4%. I even went so far as to remove the local temp files and continued to have installation stall at 4% for another hour. I am installing in the default location. I have had ZERO issues installing other software. Wondering if the Dell was the issue, I tried to use a desktop with 32 gigs of ram, Windows 11, and a two year older i7 then the laptop. Same issues. In both cases I am running this using firefox. I even tried using Chrome and same issues. &nbs
Something new with the 2023 version of Premiere Elemnts on my MAC Book Pro M1 max (24 video cores).Everytime I try to render my 4K 50p videos fast using the GPU acceleration the exported video is complety out of sync. Sound plays normal and video only in 30fps instead of 50fps (time loop). The files gets 1/3 longer with slow video out of sync. Turning off the hardwre acceleration using software rendering fix it.I already have a ticket at Adobe support open but I feel they don´t understand me. I sent a lot of samples and screenshots....Does anyone here also have such problems ? Using Premiere Elements 2023 on Mac Book Pro with M1 ?
I decided to do something with all our iPhone video clips and wanted to try the latest version of Premiere Elements but Elements will not load the files. Please see trhe attached photos. the HEIF and HEVC extensions are installed and I am running Windows 11 Pro x64. I hope this is something simple. Thanks for your help.
Hi, I've just bought Premiere Elements. My serial number is there on my Adobe account. When I click on the Premiere Elements app on my laptop it takes me through to the Dashboard / Workspace or whatever it's called. I then click on Video Editor. At this point it asks me to log in to my Adobe account. I enter my details and it says, "You're all set! You can now close this browser tab and go back to your application." But.... the application never opens. It's just a cycle of asking me for my login details then nothing. Any ideas? Any help gratefully received!
I store all my media files on a hard-drive, which is almost full. So I transferred them across to a bigger hard-drive and gave the hard-drive the same name as the original hard-drive, which I though would enable Elements to find the media as before, but it doesn't. Is there anyway of getting Elements to believe this new drive is the old one? Clearly a name isn't enough. Thanks,Martin
The reason I use Premier Elements 11 and don't bother upgrading (aside from the fact that it's now subscription-based) is that the ISO feature has been removed, and I like to create Blu-Ray disks. How can I export a project so that it has a menu, chapters etc if I can't use a disk?
Everytime I try to export a 4K 50fps Video using the hardware acceleration the exported video is out of sync. Audio is ok but the video is running like 30fps in time loop - audio and video is out of sync completly and the lengths of the video grow by 1/3.Using the Software rendering the bug is fixed. strange. Mac Book Pro with M1 MaxAlso the editor with hardware acceleration show the wrong video length but play audio and videoin sync.Tried with different projects and Video sources - always reproducible. Anyone out there who has got the same problems / effects on a M1 Mac ? Looks like the codec parameters for rendering are not ok.
I have edited a couple of videos OK so far, but this set is puzzling me. The videos are from an iPhone 11 Pro and are 1280 x720, 29.98 fps, mp4 files. PC is a Dell Inspiron 7700AIO running Windows 11. The video thumbnails appear in the timeline and can be viewed and edited in the clip window. But they are pixelated when viewed in the main edit window, or hey don't play at all (black screen) When I dropped the video onto the timeline, the editing mode changed to AVCHD 720p square pixel.
Hi, is it possible to import a SRT file into Premiere Elements and then hardcode it to my reel?
Simple question, I think, but one for which I can't find an answer:How do I crop a video? I'm not asking about trimming or making clips of the video. Instead, I have a video where I want to discard the bottom 25% of the video image for the entirety of the video. I'm not seeing a way to do this. Thanks for any help.
Bonjour, L'effet 4 coins existe-t-il encore dans Adobe Première éléments 2023? Sinon quel effet utiliser pour recréer quelque chose de similaire? Merci pour votre aide.
Premier Elements 2018(version 16 20171217)macos 10.13.2, mid 2015 macbook proi7, 16gb ram, iris proworking with mp4 video.after creating a pan & zoom and clicking 'done', premier freezes and crashes. The mac volleyball spins endlessly, and premier must be force quit. The feature is unusable as it. Really sad as this is such a basic feature to not work correctly. You would expect the basic things to work on the basic version of the software $100 is still a lot of money to waste on this.i saw there are other posts for this issue but no comments from adobe, any way this can get acknowledged by anyone else?
I am mostly editing and exporting videos of 480p, but no matter the quality, the sharpness of the images is lower after exporting. Even if I match the source resolution and set the Quality bar to "high" (9 Mpbs), or if I use Custom export with VBR 2 Pass and set the target bitrate to the original file with the Max bitrate double that, there is still a noticable drop of image sharpness when comparing with the original file. There are video files that even as low as 700 Kpbs Data Rate still have great quality, resolution, and sharpness, yet after editing and exporting, even if they've been converted by Handbrake, are still losing image quality. What am I not doing?
When I try to import a recent .MOV file, I get the message—"The importer reported a generic error." and the file is not imported into Premiere Elements. Any ideas how to correct this? Thanks!
