Premiere Elements

I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements for years and both my 2023 and 2025 are so frustrating.  First off, when I import photos or videos into my project (Add Media) they show up as completely different photos?  Does Elements not support HEIC images?  It so unbelievably frustrating.  I invested in the 2025 upgrade thinkg that maybe some bbug had been resolved, but get the same problem!!!!   ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCE THIS???

I need to perform motion tracking of a simulation / animation over video of the actual product.  I selected the product video (what I want to track the sim video to) and then clicked on the Tools icon.  All tools are greyed out (not colored, as I see in some tutorials), but are selectable.  Motion Tracking, however, is not in the list of tools.  I've found info on how to use motion tracking, but I cannot find anything regarding how to get the tool itself to appear.  Help!!!

Hallo Zusammen,in meinen alten Versionen (16/19/23) war das Schnittwerkzeug (Schere) auf dem Abspielkopf positioniert. Nun habe ich PE 25 erworben und installiert. Ich vermisse die Schere dort. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die Schere wieder auf dem Abspielkopf zu positionieren? Ich fand das sehr praktisch und möchte sie wieder dort haben. Vielen Dank schonmal für eure Antworten. LG Dieter

Contacted support and eventually contactd "Abdul" who gave instructions of how to rotate the image. However when I try to open the video file I get the file using the organiser function and can play the file, however NO editor option is available to edit the file and rotate and save the image. The "Loading adobe Premiere elements editor workspace" image appears but eventually closes without any options appearing.The option available to edit the image in the menu aso does the same thing. If the support person Adbdul is available could you give me any other options. My operating system is Windows 11 and I can rotate the image using "media player" and using the video settings to rotate the image but there is no save function.  I have little experience using this software and any assistance would be appreciated. 

I'm using Premiere 2025. How do I set display time for all still pictures? 

Hi there:I purchased and had used the Video Editor program in 2023 Premiere Elements for several projects with zero issues. Then today, it won't play a new project I was working on or a previous project. I click the play button or use the space bar and a second or two larer, it stops. Nothing changed since the last time I used it (OS, settings, etc) and I did the suggested things (cleaned out the cache, etc). Nothing works. It's a shame, it worked well for what I needed. Any other ideas out there?Much appreciated!

I still have an old copy of Adobe Elements 2020. Can any body tell me where I can find the 'Old Film' effect so I can copy it and insert it into the workings of my 2024 please?

Premiere Elements 24 offline clips. I made a video in March, now in July all of its clips and all the videos I've ever made in past years say they are off line. I would like to know what path the software is expecting. I don’t know what changes could have occurred. I am using the same drive with same drive label and even the same drive letter and have not changed any directory structure. Where can I find the path that is expected? Under Pro it says to go to Linked Media in the context menu – but Elements does not have this option its clips context menu. Now where do I look? I would rather try to recreate the path than spend numerous hours relinking each clip. Thank you in advance for your help.

My video handling is mainly light-weight for social media, and doesn't include complicated editing.  Most of my content is from a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.  Picture looks great on the phone, and looks great if I upload directly to YouTube (so it's not just on phone display).  I've used Premiere Elements 2018 for years.  The output never looked as great as the original file, but it worked.  I just upgraded to Elements 2025, and WHOAH.  Nothing looks correct at all... even previous Elements 2018 files.  Imported media or opened Elements files are contrasty and lack the proper tonal range, and have blown highlights beyond any usability.  Additionally, even if I can get the edit screen version to look decent, the export preview is a whole new world.  It's unusably blown out, and looks nothing like the edit screen.  I've searched for settings regarding encoding, profiles, etc., but have yet to get a handle on why everything is so drastically

How do I create an old film look in Adobe Premiere Elements 2024

Can I use the upgrade version to upgrade from Premiere Elements 2018 to 2025, or do I have to buy the full-price version?

When I use the drop down filter Frequently Used under Titles menu, it shows a list of just that. My question is, how do I edit this list if I want to remove some I no longer use frequently? I dont see any way to click-delete or alter it in a general setting.

I have Photoshop & Premier Elements 2024 bundle on my Win-10 PC. I'm contemplating either a Win-11 OS update on existing PC, or new hardware & fresh install altogether, TBD. But I would prefer to re-install this same  PSE 2024 version under Win-11. When the time comes, is it possible to enter my SR# & download? I tried searching community forum but replies seem a bit variable depending on date.  This more recent post seems to suggest that is not an option. As subject says, Will Premiere Elements 12 run on Windows 11, please?I bought this with Photoshop Elements 12 and have never actually installed it.  My teenage niece is wanting to get into video editing, has Windows 11, but I'm not sure it will run as the software is very old, of course.I just wondered if anyone has had any experience of installing on a much newer Win OSIt would be brilliant if it did.  Many thanks 🙂

Videos from my husband's phone normally load and play fine in my Premiere Elements 2023 editor on  Windows 11 laptop. Today, it says Your system need to be configured to import HEVC or HEIF type of media. I've tried doing that in the past but it doesn't seem to help.  So now I go to Adobe Express online and convert the videos, 1 at a time, to .mp4    (Even tho they were already MP4) Does this make any sense to anyone? Thank you,Sharon

Running PRE version 24.0.  Windows 11 Home (automatically updated), Intel Core i7-14700, 2100 Mhz, 20 cores, 32 GB RAM.  Tried running Auto-Analyzer on various video clips of different formats (MTS, AVI, MOV, etc.).  Rarely does it complete its analysys, instead, it stops at different percents, and will proceed no further. Suggestions?

I am so extremely frustrated with Adobe Premiere Elements 2025.  There are too many bugs or problems to cover everything.  My most recent is that the program freezes up constantly and the only way out is to end the task through task manager.  Irritating as heck!!!  Then, I create some text and after I am complete, there is no way to get back a normal cursor arrow.  No matter what I do, it will only allow me to create more text.  What a complete waste of my money!!@!@

I use a variety of videos from my iphone 16, from my husband's Samsung phone, and now also from a GoPro 11 in Premiere Elements 2023 on a Windows 11 computer.Mostly it comes out fine.  Every once-in-a-while, one of the GoPro videos gets glitchy.  Meaning instead of a smooth video just one frame displays and it flashes on and off on and off repeatedly.  Last time I noticed one frame and then the same frame again but upside down and they were both flashing that way.  After a couple seconds it moves on to the next clip and all else is fine.  What I usually do to fix it is put it in a new project by itself and export and then use that file instead.Is that familiar to anyone?  Any tips?  Thanks,Sharon

Nach dem Kauf und der nachfolgenden Installation und Aktivierung des Programms mit dem Poduktschlüssel, lässt sich nur der Videoeditor und der Organizer öffnen. Beim Versuch den Fotoeditor zu öffnen kommt immer ein Dialogfeld von einer Testversion 2025 und einem Downloadlink. Der Fotoeditor lässt sich also nicht öffnen. Ich möchte auch keine andere Version mit einer befristeten Lizenz. Wir komme ich nun weiter ? - Vielen Dank mal im Voraus... L.G.

Hi! I posted some threads on here a few months back asking for help and got some great support - thanks again! At the time I had achieved what i wanted to, and i havent used the Adobe Premiere Elements 2024 software since.Now, i've come to use it again and i'm facing some issues.... maybe i'm doing something wrong... and would apreciate some help. I have a 'project' that i created months ago.  I'm finding it easy to edit the segments of video in the project.However, i want to add other videos into the project and this is where i'm struggling. I am going to 'Add media'>'Elements Organizer'... then i have some videos in there that i added months back...So, i select the fil and click 'Add file'... and it adds it... great!However... i cant then open that video to edit... and it shows differently to the other video segments already in the project... in that it is greyed out.... Any advice appeciated! Thanks  

Gibt es den Rauschunterdrückungsfilter DeNoise in Premiere Elements 2023? Wenn ja, wie kann ich diesen aktivieren? 

I just upgraded to Premere Elements 2025 worked on some og my jobs and everyting was fine. Wentr to my last job and when exporting I get and error. See attached erroe message.Thanks in advance for help.Jim

These question marks appeared while I was creating an new album, both in the new album and in my ALL Media tab 

I upgraded Premiere Elements 2012 to 2018 and never used it again. Loved 2012, just the rendering drove me mad. Now I don't like 2018 at all and don't find a way to go back to 2012. All sucks. One of my problems with 2018 is that you hardly see the scissors and therefore, while selecting clips I keep cutting them. There are other video editors where you can easily change the position of the scissors, not so in this one, not that I can find. All really sucks hugely. If Filmora hadn't taken away many features from my Perpetual License, I would have stayed with them, this way it has become too restricted. Tried Elements 2015, didn't like it at all!Another function they don't have is the ability to add tracks in the middle of other tracks, even if Google says that it has, and that is so needed when you are organizing your clips............. awful!
