I have a laptop with a AMD FirePro W4190M which is not supported by Premiere/Media Encoder - strangely the W4170M is.Is there any hack that can make the W4190M work for rendering?

Hi all,I have a computer with amd 1950X graphics GTX1080 and 64GB of ram.I have the graphics drivers updated to the latest "studio / creative"I have problems with rendering time, it takes a long time, adobe media encoder ...... I just have some videos in h264 to 1080P with high bitrate and I have to pass them to several formats of videos always with the codec H264 at low bitrate.What happens is that the CPU only reaches 50% or 70% and the GPU 5-10% ... i have CUDA selected ....Does anyone know the problem and the solution?Thank you

Setup as Threadripper 1950X, Asus rog GTX 1070 8GB GPU and 32GB Ram @ 3000mhzThe Rendering and processing is stuck with 15%-16% CPU usage - and does not go higher than that. I've tried reducing the core usage under (msconfig), tried using the AMD master software to enable creator mode - Nothing. Most importantly, Premier pro keeps crashing every time a few seconds of video is being played. The GPU has the latest drivers.Would appreciate if anyone here has had a problem with an off the box installation of the AMD Threadripper 1950x and premier pro issues.

Felt like support was finally there but I've tried seemingly everything (toggling and untoggling "Prefer EGPU", multiple restarts with different eGPU pairing routines, turning metal off and back on)... It just refuses to use my eGPU anymore leading to a massive performance decrease. In both the exports and the timeline.Anybody have any luck getting theirs to work on the new version? I've tried both a Vega 64 and an RX 480 with no luck.

I'm looking to build a PC, and these are the parts I've picked out so far. Do you have any suggestions for better bang for the buck, or does this system seem to be pretty solid for editing 4k video with Premiere? I don't do anything with After Effect at the moment, but it would be nice to have that capability down the road. Would this rig handle that as well? Also, do you guys think I need the 1660ti, or would the plain 1660 handle ok too?Thanks for you help.

Hi,I'm hoping this is a simple answer for someone who is more knowledgeable of hardware specs and capabilities. I've been having trouble with editing 4K footage in Premier Pro CC 2019: With one clip playing and no effects the playback is lagging.I've gone down a bit of rabbit hole trying to figure this out, GPU problems, CPU bottlenecks, enabling the correct render selection with CUDA, etc:I've had the suspicion it is a GPU problem as my Nvidia card does nothing when monitoring, my intel GPU is at about 20% while my CPU is maxed out. I've gone through every forum I can find and it seems to have everything correctly setup, however the GPU still remains unresponsive. I've updated drivers, Installed CUDA, I've chosen the correct render, I've applied accelerated effects, nothing. I am missing something here?I'm now thinking that perhaps the issue isn't the GPU but a bottleneck with my CPU however I have doubts given they were both stock options from Lenovo when purchasing the computer. Hello,I have a main timeline for a project that has sound files that were recorded at 48000 Hz.  If I set my timeline setting to that number, there are random pops and clicks all over the place.  It will also export with these pops. If I set the timeline at 96000 Hz, it plays fine.  The timelines that I synch my footage in are set st 48000 Hz, and they play okay too. It's only when I load up on effects and fades that it struggles. It was suggested to me that my windows sound setting might be wrong, but I checked and it is also set at 48000 Hz.  Should I just keep the timeline setting (and export setting)at 96000 Hz?  I don't know why that would he what works if the sound files themselves are 48000 Hz.Any information would be appreciated. Wanted a quick opinion on the final decision I am making around my new build platform for AME/Premiere/After Effects etc.Currently have an GTX Nvidia 1070 in my old  i7 6700K machine - and was planning to just swap that into my new  i9 9900k based machine.New machine all SSD drives, with NVMe drive for project files/Previews/Cache as it is so fast. New machine also has 64GB DDR4 3200 memory. Z390 Motherboard.I assume, ..... as I don't produce ultra complex Premiere projects with loads of layers/effects, the current GTX 1070 will be OK versus buying a new say .... GTX 2070. (GTX 2080 a bit expensive !)You opinion/experience would be valued.Maybe upgrade to a GTX 2080 - one day .... when my wallet has cooled down.Thanks

On the system requirements page on the latest Premiere Pro CC, there is a minimum requirement to have 6th gen processor.However, I think dual xeon 2697 v3 is powerful enough to run modern editing program.Is it recommended to get the latest Premiere Pro on this processor? Would it run smoothly?

I just decided to build a new PC for photo + video editing, as well as music production, and would like your advice on parts.I'm currently leaning towards an Intel i7 9700k over Amd's Ryzen 2700, mainly because I like Intel more (even though it is more expensive).For the display, I'm waiting on a BenQ SW240 24" 1920x1200 photography monitor I just ordered on Amazon. I decided on it over a 27" Dell. I've heard the quality control of more affordable monitors like this is not the greatest, so I hope for the best as $500 is my budget.What are your thoughts? Hello, i need a simple advice to buy a processor for best performance to work in adobe premiere pro and ae enviroment. I have dilema cos i have option to buy i7 4770 and xeon 1246 v3. I heard best is i7 for adobe premire pro, but its almost double expensive. I want buy more expensive core than 4770 or 1246, but i dont know if xeon will be better option than i7? Also does it much more difference beetwen i7 and i5 for video creating up to 2k resolution?

My computer monitor is project and clip space.  My Mac is an iMac Pro 2017 2.3 Ghz Intel Xeon W Graphics Radeon pro Vegas 64 External monitor is a 58”Samsung 4KI’m using a USB-C dongle to HDMI out of the iMac to get into the Samsung.If I keep the work space on the iMac all is good but my preference is to use the Samsung for my work space.Any solutions?

I've searched high and low on forums and I'm pulling my hair out as I cannot find a solution.A bit of back story, I have recently upgraded my PC but kept the original hard drive, i.e. haven't wiped it. I'm about to buy a new 15" imac laptop and want to know where to put my money for most bang for buck.I do a lot of animation and video editing with Premiere and Photoshop open at once.I wonder if an expert can offer some guidance.my choices:1. the processor is 8-core 9th generation Intel Core i9, but I can chose either 2.3 GHz with boost to 4.8 or 2.4 GHz with boost to 5.0.  is that worth the $180 upgrade?2. Well, I thought I built a PC that would shred anything. But not my 4K h.264 footage from my Sony a7 cameras. I know this is a long GOP XAVC codec that isn't the best for editing (and proxies are the obvious solution), but surely my custom built PC beast can do better? Proxies are the devil and I want to shred without them. What's so bad about that? Am I missing something here?I "borrowed" the knowledge of my build from pugetsystems.com. I have an overclocked i9-7920x system and it's super snappy and sexy, but when I playback this footage, it still has the occasional stutter, or delayed program monitor when I shift the playhead. Once I add some effects, or rate stretch it, then it will lag even more substantially.I have three 970 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD drives that I'm working from, OS+Programs, Media, and Cache. I recently worked with an Adobe tech on a Premiere/Adobe Media Encoder issue.  I have 24GB of RAM on my system, and the tech reduced the amount allocated to Adobe applications to 8GB.   Later, I asked a second Adobe tech about this and he said I should have no more that 1/3 of my available RAM allocated to Adobe applications for optimal performance.  This runs counter to a number of other posts I've seen online that recommend allocating 75% of available RAM to Adobe applications.  Can anybody shed some light on this?

Now that I started to do freelancing I decided to get a new pc for editing.My present pc config:CPU- intel i5 65002x8GB ddr4 RAM (one is 2400MHz another one is 3000MHz)gtx 960 4GBB150M D3H gigabyte moboI've a 120GB samsung 750evo SSD on my C drive where i have installed my OS and my Adobe products, I've 2TB HDD to hold my media cache, media & project files. So when i work on premiere pro the preview won't be smooth like water, it would be stuttery but if i scrub through it real slow then it give me smooth live preview and i am talking about previewing in 1/2 resolution and these are 1080p 60fps videos.If I add any transitions even simple one's as a cross dissolve it will skip frames at that particular point on the first go but will show it if I scrub over it again.
