We are planning to buy an Apple 27" iMac Pro with Retina 5K Display (Late 2017), but are unsure whether to buy it with an AMD Radeon Pro Vega 56 or an AMD Radeon Pro Vega 64 graphic card. Does anyone have experience as to whether AMD Radeon Pro Vega 64 would make a noticeable difference, or whether the performance of both computers would be similar for these purposes?Most of the color-corrected material would be 4k mp4 files from Sony a7 iii, although there would also be some Blackmagic 4k raw footage.

What is the best computer on the market right now to use Adobe products on?  Especially Photoshop?

So ive notice when you go export from the new updated Adobe PPCC2018 there is an option for Hardware and Software Acceleration. I know Adobe has always used CUDA and OpenCL to help with colors but this seems to have really improved exporting. I am exporting to H264 vbr1pass since none of the others let me select hardware Couple QUestions:Why does it say my hardware is supported in VBR 1 pass, but not CBR or VBR 2 pass? Quadro M3000M When you do the queued export and AME opens up, it looks like you have the old options for Hardware OpenCL and CUDA is this the same as the non queued export?Watching Task Manager it seems like the GPU get used a good bit more when doing the non queue and directly exporting from Adobe Premiere vs Queuing it up in AME? Am i just making this up? Ive never seen the gpu hit over 50% in AME and it hits 80-90% easily when doing Premiere Pro direct export.I am going to do some timed testing, but i cant find the export log for non queued exports, just the queued on

Get last premiere and my multi cam (with proxies 720p mp4 ingest settings) is very very slow. I checked debug monitor, and all decoding done by CPU. My cuda 1070 is not works at all! I have an i7 7700k, GTX 1070, 16 GB DDR4, 256GB SAMSUNG SSDWhat is wrong with my build that it takes 2 hours to render 7 minutes of 1080p 60p video at h.264 codec.I have CUDA on btw. Can I please get help on how to fix the render times.

I barely ever post here so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place. I couldn't find a Mac forum here.I have a 6 year old 2010 Mac Pro that I am keeping alive with meager hardware upgrades in anticipation of the iMac being released this fall. Premiere really drags with even just Lumetri Color applied to GH4 H264 footage. Because I will not be with this system much longer I don't want to put much more cash into it, but I am considering buying a GTX 1050 Ti for $140 and trying it in my tower now that Nvidia has Mac drivers out for their 10 series cards. I would keep my Radeon 5770 for whenever I need a boot screen.Is this a terrible idea or the best idea in the entire universe? Any power requirements I'm not considering? Better bang for the buck? I have a question about what tech specs most benefit Premiere and Media Encoder.  Most of my exports are simple exports without a lot of elements, but I am converting from one format to another.  If I build out a new computer for the job, assuming that I have great disk speeds, what are the specs on the computer that will have the most impact on my render?  Is CPU speed more important, or are the number of cores more important?  How many cores is too many?  When does more RAM not add any benefit?  How important to a render is GPU, and can I use a high end gaming GPU, or do I need a workstation GPU for this sort of thing?A lot of what I'm trying to find is what makes a dream machine, and what is just wasted money on specs that don't matter?Thank you SO much for your help!  This will go a long way into how we build all of our edit stations going forward.[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from CS6 & earli

Hey Adobe -After FOUR YEARS of not being able to reliably render on our nMP with Open CL or Metal without artifacting or crashing or both, we've built a brand new top of the line PC as a work around - which is ALSO crashing constantly (and I'm seeing many other PC users with same issue).WHY CAN'T YOU GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER?  I'm literally inches from abandoning Adobe completely as the reliability issues with this company's products (I've used since the late 90's) are simply costing too much time money hair pulling and tears.WTF...I just don't get this crazy world we live in today where my once 2 favorite company's Apple and Adobe are now both hot garbage.Sad.  Very very sad.[Moderator note: moved to best forum for help.]

Hello,I'm looking for laptop recommendations that will run the Adobe Creative Cloud applications well. I am in discussions with the IT team at my company who are looking into getting me a new laptop due to the fact the one I am currently using just isn't powerful enough to run the applications well. I mainly use InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, my company used to outsource all of their graphic design before I joined so they are struggling to know which machine will be best for me to use (my previous company built me a powerful desktop - but I need a laptop now).I am aware what the minimum requirements are for running the applications but I'm really looking for something more powerful that won't keep freezing and crashing and not just the bare minimum.Any recommendations would be massively appreciated so I can show my IT team and help guide them into what's best for me to have to be able to do my job properly.Thanks!

Oh Premiere... or is it my new PC?I just purchased this beast (see specs below) hoping that it would crush through playback/editing multiple streams of 4k and 6k video footage. Unfortunately it can't manage the native footage even at 1/8 resolution. We have been using the new iMacPro which can manage this task (albeit not full res) just fine. Looking to upgrade my painfully slow windows i7-860 (first gen, i think!).  On somewhat of a tight budget, so hoping to get some input on best bang for the buck with what's available right now.Don't do 3d or video, and don't game.  Mostly photoshop work, vector work in AI and web development (sass compiling, live previews, etc).CPU - deciding between i5-8600k and ryzen 2600x.  I know most CC apps don't benefit much from more than just a few cores, but the 2 processors seem fairly even.  Any real world experience from anyone?  Want something that'll last a few years so maybe by than adobe will make some progress to better leverage 6+ cores?If going with the i5, will the integrated graphics be enough?  Running a 24" 1920 x 1200 dell screen, and other than some gpu-heavy filter effects, both PS and AI seem to really mostly on CPU?  May jump up to a 27" widescreen, won't be doing 4k or dual screen.I know max out ram, going wither 16 or 32 depending on pri

At the moment I have 4x ssd slots1x m.2 sata 1tb 2x nvme m.2 256gb raid 01x 2.5" ssd 500gbAll samsung Windows is on the nvme as raid 0. However i was thinking of splitting the raid and using 1x nvme for windows and 1x nvme for temp/scratch files  The 1tb for music /effects etc.500gb for editing Is there much advantage on using nvme for editing rather than ssd.  As i am willing to upgrade the ssd. I built my last computer, about 8 years ago. It's now slow and doesn't run Premiere Pro CC very well - Lumetri effects cause PP CC to crash on rendering. The GPU is ancient, with 1GB RAM. It has 24GB of system RAM and lots of  spinning hard drives. The C: drive is an SSD.Time to get a new machine, but the more I read, the more confused I'm getting! Surely it should not be so hard to get a system that'll give me real time previews in PP CC of 4K H.264 video, with some effects applied, and give me decent fresher times? I do just a little in AE, but not much, so rendering times in AE are not a priority for me.I'm looking at getting a good video card, probably the GTX 1080TI. I'll use this computer for flight simulation also.Assume I have a good storage setup, with a 1TB SSD for the system and program drive, and other drives for media and cache files.I'll have 64GB of RAM.What processor should I be looking at?What type of motherboard?I'm not sure I want to build my own system again,

I have decided to build my own computer for video editing. I would produce about 3 videos a week, need to have it work relatively quickly, since I run my own business and don’t have time to babysit the rendering, or stop editing vids for hours at a time. I use premier pro and after effects, usually work with multiple windows open, and import several files/project. I export mainly into mp4 formats, and upload to 3rd party sites. So, I don’t need to be able to edit/render/display more than 1080p. I own a small production company in Australia and we have a unique project for a fitness app filming exercises on a Green screen with equipment in the hundreds of clip shooting 4k RAW and ending up with compressed H.264 and H.265 Apple Watch, Iphone and Apple TV files turned around in 2 weeks.  We have solved every issue except render times and a few months ago installed 2 Synology enterprise 10Gbe NAS units so the VFX artists can work on a centralised file, grading is in Resolve, Keying and effects in Ae with Red Giant, Neat Video + Reel Motion plugins across most clips.  Originally I had 8 Mac Computers setup as slaves in a render farm running Squidnet and 4 x 12 Core Mac Pros maxed out as workstations but after weeks and weeks of downtime trying to get this to work I had to kill the render farm and export through media encoder manually to every machine which worked but labour intensive and not a scalable solution.  In the middle of all this my VFX guys have been at me

I am currently using a 2012 iMac 27-inch 3.2 GHz i5, 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1024 MB.It has not been cutting it in Premiere in general anymore, and with VR, it won't render or export transitions, even though I have GPU Acceleration enabled. So I think it's time to upgrade.I'm wondering what the recommendations out there are? I am locked into buying a Mac through work, but that is my only constraint. What do you guys recommend is needed? The baseline, and then for optimal performance?

I am building a new machine and thinking about buying a AMD RX 580.   I know that NVIDIA supports CUDA whereas AMD supports OpenCL. Ive read that Adobe supports CUDA more than OpenCL, is this true?For an average home user who creates family videos and edits photos, would a AMD video card be acceptable?   Is it worth paying more for NVIDIA?

I can’t say the answer will be simple but I’ve been more or less beating my head against the wall over here, so I have finally decided that I absolutely needed to come to you and pray you’ll be able to give me some advice.
