I used the pro version of Acrobat to create a PDF presentation that includes video. If I open this presentation on a different computer, will the video in my PDF still play on the free version of Acrobat?
The attached pdf file (main.pdf) does not print properly using Adobe Acrobat Reader (version in subject line) under Windows 11 and Windows 10 (both desktops), but surprisingly, it is printed properly on my laptop running Windows 10. While the file is displayed on screen ok, when printed extra (or not enough) vertical space is inserted, messing up the page formatting. In this simple example the footnote and the page number appears in the middle of the page instead of at the bottom.Given the fact that the problem does not appear on my laptop, I suspect there might be some clash between the latest version of Adobe Reader and Windows PDF printer drivers. The file prints without problems under iOS (iPhone), MacOS (Mac Mini), and Linux (Ubuntu). It also prints without problems under Windows using a browser (Edge or Google Chrome), or using another PDF Reader like Slim PDF Reader 2.0.
I have Acrobat reader installed (I think I do). I don't want to edit pdf documents. I just want to read them when someone sends one to me or when they send me a link to one that is on-line. But when I press the link to view the pdf on-line I get asked to log into Acrobat and then I still don't see the document. I just want a simple solution to reading pdfs.
I have seen a lot of older posts regarding an issue similar to this, but for some reason I cannot see the answers (though they were marked as successfully answered). What I need is an explanation of how to tell, within Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, whether FIPS cryptography is turned on or off. We (U.S. Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command) are currently experiencing an issue whereby if they attempt to fill, sign, and then save a fillable, signable PDF form using Adobe Acrobat DC (the full version) we get an error message saying that "Document could not be saved. Use of non-FIPS cryptography is not permitted while in FIPS mode" (attachment with screencap). But if we do the same thing in Reader DC, it works just fine.My question is, when the message says "while in FIPS mode" is that referring to the mode that Adobe is in, or the mode Windows is in? If it's Adobe, how can I see the setting in each of the to applications? We are using Reader DC version 2021.001.201
Hola, buenas tardes.
My employer recently issued me a new Windows 10 laptop with Adobe Pro XI. The document title/filename is not displaying at the top of the window. See screenshot below - normally there should be a doc title or filename (whichever is selected in Preferences) to the right of the Adobe icon at the top.I don't really care about this when the document is open, but I do care that the doc name also doesn't display in the taskbar. So if I have multiple documents opened and minimized, I can't see what they are to select one. I can't get a picture to illustrate this problem, but to see what I mean, open 2 PDFs and minimize them. Then hover over the Adobe icon in the toolbar - you see how the doc names are displayed to the right of the Adobe icon at the top of the thumbnails so you can choose the correct one? I don't see any names - only thumbnails with the Adobe icon at the top right.
Is there no longer a free version of acrobat reader? All I want to do is edit a PDF. Do I have to pay a monthly subscription fee?
I have updated Adobe Reader DC from 32 bit to 64 bit. I have the following registry keys in place for certain things:[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\AdobeViewer]"EULA"=dword:00000001[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\AVAlert\cCheckbox]"iAppDoNotTakePDFOwnershipAtLaunchWin10"=dword:00000001[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FTEDialog]"iFTEVersion"=dword:0000000a"iLastCardShown"=dword:00000000[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\Originals]"iPageUnits"=dword:00000003"bAntialiasImages"=dword:00000001"bAntialiasGraphics"=dword:00000001and the following two GPO'sWhen the user logs on, although the registry keys are there, they do not take affect within Adobe Reader, for example, one is to change the units from Inches to CM's, still says inches, if I go back to 32bit, it works and I get CM's. Another is to stop it asking about it being the default reader. Works in 32 bit and greys out the options. 64 bit doesn't take affect
MY APP NOT EDITING, NEED IT FIXED ASAP. I HAVE AN SUBSCRIPTION. PLEASE HELP
Solution for "Start-trial" message in Acrobat. Wondering why your app launches as a Trial version even after subscribing to the app? The reason could be elementary and fundamental. With a little due diligence, you can avoid this awkward situation. If you are unable to change the logged-in ID (email) in Adobe Acrobat, or if you are logged in with an account (email) which does not have an active Acrobat subscription, you get the "Start-trial" screen. Message: start-trial-screen Note: The screen has the option to choose a different Adobe ID. Sign out and use another Adobe ID to log in and activate the license/subscription. Did you find it helpful? Long story short, I'm in the Army and have an Access database that uses VBA to populate PDF forms with data. For more info, see: https://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/threads/filling-adobe-forms-from-access-using-vba.315500/Trouble is, recently the Army decided to push out an Acrobat policy making it so all PDF documents are opened in Protected mode and it broke the VBA functionality. The form gets created and opened by VBA, but I don't know how to tell VBA to tell Acrobat to "Enable All Features" so it can proceed in filling the data.Is there a way for VBA to do this or open the form bypassing Protected mode?I've already tried a sleep or wait command after the form is generated and opened the form then allowing the user to click "Enable All Features" before continuing to the fill process, but that didn't work. I'm almost certain that the form opens in two seperate instances when I do that and it doesn't get enabled for the VBA's instance.
I am unable to 'invert' the colours on sheet music. If I change the background to black (as suggested by sheet music direct consultant) the whole page becomes black. If I change the colours (i.e. switch black/white) the chords and lyrics become white but not the sheet music itself. Can anyone help. I don't think it can be done using Adobe Reader (I also installed the trial of Pro and that made no difference with my opeions). I am severely sight impaired and can just see white on black but have no hope of the usual black on whiite.

Merci !
The colors, text, and images display fine when I access it in a browser. When I save it to my HD and open it in acrobat, however, it's just a blank white document with the images. However, the text is still selectable and I can highlight and copy and paste it elsewhere. How do I fix this?
When filling out a pdf, provided by a public entity, the text appears too low, showing only the top part of the text. I checked off "highlight fields." Tried changing the size of the document. Windows 10 and Acrobat 7 Standard. Example attached.

I have some terminal servers where both Adobe Pro and Adobe reader are installed, but not everybody has Adobe Pro credentials and are supposed to be using Adobe Reader. I can set the default viewer to Adobe Reader for those that don't have Adobe Pro credentials, but when non Adobe Pro users right to right click on a pdf and choose print, no matter what I set, it always tries to use Adobe Pro. Is there a way to set, per user?
Hi,I recently downloaded the acrobat reader on a MacBook Air M2. It was working fine initially, but there is one persisting issue related to highlighting text. For eg if the pink highlight is on and I select text to highlight, before, I could change the highlight color by simply clicking the text. But now, if a text is highlighted in pink, I have to press escape, then select another color by clicking the text -- but this makes the main highlight button in the top toolbar switch off, so I have to click it everytime to again highlight text. Would be great if anyone can help me understand how to fix this as I have to highlight pretty often while reading and annotating journal articles. Thank you!
Since upgrading to macOS Monterey 2 months ago, now running Ver 12.2.1, have been having problems with Acrobat Reader. Works fine for a few days, then get spinning color wheel when opening a PDF. Gets frozen on front page of PDF and can only get out by force quit. I have upgraded the OS, upgraded to the latest version of Reader, been on this site and tried to cleanse my hard drive of old adobe versions and extensions in my utilities, but have not resolved the issue. Have deleted and reinstalled Reader 5 to 6 times. Everything is fine for a few days and starts up again. Please help me!
So i Installed acrobat a few days before I got a 14 day trial of Creative cloud teams, but now everytime I try and uninstall from the Normal windows control panel, It won't uninstall!(above image is the error popping up) I tried uninstalling from adobe creative cloud but it would start and then just stop!
