Questions

Is there any way to make grid not responsive? For example if I want to change the size of the artboard the grid streches or shrinks accordingly. I would like it to stay the same all the time without me going in and re-calculating numbers in the Grid panel whenever the size of my artboard changes.

Super frustrated right now for many reasons. For a company that named their product after Experiential Design, I am not having a good experience with the experience. Each time there is an updgrade things change too much to keep up. I used to wait a year or so to upgrade with CD's back in the day because I knew they still had bugs to work out. Now its a nightmare every time I update. Right now I am having trouble finding the save menu drop down in XD. Same thing I've done 1,000 times but for some reason it dissapeared. When I click "save as" all that shows up in the drop down at the top is the slot for a name and cancel or save options. I can click on anything to expand the box to choose a file to save to. Will someone please save me! 

Hey Adobe Community,I created a XD Prototype and published it with my clients so that they can comment.  After implementing the feedback I changed the title of the cloud document and updated the link.Now when I try to open the protoype via the link I got asked for a password which I never set.When I create a new link all the comments are gone. Please help me here!Thanks,Adrian

Was working on a file, saving regularly, when XD crashed. The file still appears in the windows start menu, recent files but when I click on the file name I get this: There isn't even an old version of the file. Just nothing.Anyone have this happen to them and is there a way to retrieve any data? 

My published links are now back up and functional and I can browse the list of all my cloud XD files, but when I try to open cloud files in XD I get the error message "Sorry, we can't open this document." This is happening to any cloud document I try to access. I didn't start seeing this message in my documents until after the cloud services came back online around 3:45pm EDT or so. Please help, I have no way of accessing any of my historical files.  

Hi,  My Adobe XD has been working really slowly and sometimes will take up to 10 minutes to even open my design file. Even when it opens, it is hard to move around the screen and it becomes quite glitchy. I wouldn't say I even have many artboards or components on the document (although the images I am using are quite large and high quality).  I saw this may be due to the update, so I uninstalled the update but it wouldn't let me open any documents I created while using the most recent update.  Is there anything I can do? Would this have anything to do with the fact that my mac doesn't have the most recent software update (Catalina)?  I thought this may have something to do with being close to running out of cloud storage, but I have bought more cloud storage and I am still having the same issues.  Any help is appreciated, I really need this to work I am using this program for my HSC major work!! Thanks 

I'm just an amateur who wants to play around with XD.If i make a design for my phone, how can i turn it into some app or whatever to try it out. Or is this a whole other chapter and is XD meant for only pro's who then, send there design to real developpers.If so, just say it, so i won't bother with XD again.Afterall there are enough adobe progs to play with 🙂 (just wanted to try something new).THX.Patrick Stranger

Hello, I moved to Adobe XD (from Illustrator) and in illustrator I used .EPS format for icons. Now I use .PSD format in XD and I downloaded an icon and when I fill it, the whole shape fills (rather than the icon) I have attached screenshots for you to see.I had the same issue in illustrator but in order to remove it I clicked A(selection tool) and removed a "invisible" layer on the icon which caused that issue. Here in XD I don't know how to remove that layer (if that's the problem) I need help here. Thanks in advance.  

Hey community,I have accidentally uninstalled Adobe XD from my pc and now I have lost all the files, prototypes etc.I tried reinstalling XD and got the new version, however, the files are gone, they are not in my pc and they are not in the cloud 😞Do you know how can I get back to the old version of XD and recover my files? Thanks 

Hi! I've been working at this for awhile, and I couldnt find the right thing to google for the answer. So I decided to try here I'm currently trying to prototype a mock-up with a timed photo carousel, while also also featuring a tap activated overlay. I've gotten both parts to work, but whenever I test the demo, while the carousel is on the 2nd artboard, if I click the tap activated overlay the carousel goes back to artboard 1.  I'm still fairly new to this program, and I was wondering if this was a creator error, or if I'm attempting to get the program to live demo something that wont work. Thanks so much!   

I cannot create XD link; when I try to review my account they app say that I'm not connected to internet but is wrong I have a connection and no issues with the internet

Hi XD team and community, I am aware that using too many components/states will make XD significantly slower. And yesterday I also finally realised why my most recent document was getting corrupted over and over. It happened once I pasted in an artboard from another document with a ton of different components and states. I guess by pasting in that artboard I crossed some sort of a limit, therefore it corrupts. Because of this today I'm working in another document, but with a lot of the same artboards used in the document previously mentioned. I've decided that it would be best to just ask here (before I mess things up again). Can you give me detailed advice for how to restore the speed in my documents and what I should do to prevent this issue from happening again in the future? Example:In the new document I'm counting 101 Document Assets. Several listed components are appearing 5x and when I hover over them, none of them have instances on the canvas.My urge now is to ju

Hi there, XD link is not updating. Even the existing link is not working. Can you help resolve this asap. My product manager needs this link to review my work and I am under serious pressure to make this work.

Hi    Just wanted to ask if it is possible to have nested hover states inside other button states? Hi everyone,   Offline Coediting and Zoom Controls in shared links, two of the most requested features, have now made their way into this update.     Offline support for Coediting Work on shared documents even when you’re not connected to the internet. Any changes made to the document offline are pushed to all collaborators once a connection is re-established. If there are conflicting changes when a connection is re-established, you can discard your local changes or save a copy of the document with your new changes to avoid merging issues. Zoom controls in shared links Now you can zoom in and out on designs when viewing them via shared links. Zoom controls are available in both desktop and mobile browsers. Hi,    I've been having an issue with the app freezing for a while, now (on Windows 10). I thought it was a random occurence, but I've managed to pinpoint exactly the steps I take to get it to freeze (if it helps, I've attached the project file I was working on  here: https://we.tl/t-HtRsWOlVu9 - as you can see, it's a fresh project, 95kb large): 1. Launch Adobe XD 2. Open up my project file 3. Select "path 3" within the "descriere" component (double-clicking the component) 4. Go to assets (where my color swatch is saved)4. Select de color picker tool for the "path 3" layer's border5. Pick a color 6. App freezes   I've tried the following: 1. Updating Adobe XD (didn't have the latests at the time) - problem persists 2. Reinstalling Adobe XD - problem persists 3. Reinstalling Creative Cloud - problem persists 4. Use Adobe Limited Access Repair Tool - problem persists 5. Reinstalling CCLibrary - problem persists   This is happening on: Adobe XD: 29.1.32

I would like to use the ease transition function (Specifies a transition effect with a slow start, then fast, then end slowly (equivalent to cubic-bezier(0.25,0.1,0.25,1)), but the option to have 'ease' is not on the list of transitions within XD (latest version — 29). Is there some way to achieve this?

Hi everyone,   To begin with thanks in advance to anyone who will have the patience to read my issue and try to investigate this further.    I created two files with Adobe XD recently which I saved in my Documents. However, these files are nowhere to be found, except in this list of last documents as highlighted in the screenshot hereattached. Literally nothing happens when I click on any of these though.   I'm very much afraid this could be a bug and that these files may have been permanently deleted, as I never (consciously) removed them and even less went into the trash to permanently remove them. Hello, I hope you can please help me solve these that I show in the images. 1) If I have internet but adobe xd tells me that I don't have it. 2) I have version 28.2.12.3 and I don't see the menu bar where in previous versions it was FILE, EDIT, OBJECT, VIEW, WINDOW and HELP. Could it be that they already eliminated that menu in this version? 3) I want to design an APP for Android. But will it be that if I choose the one for the Iphone 11 PRO, can it be used for the Android one? I say this because I plan to export the generated code and send it to the developer. And above all I would choose this format since these dimensions are the most similar for example to the Samsung A20, since the option that appears last would be like for an Iphone 6/7/8. And the new screens of the Samsung series A are more similar to those of the Iphone 11 PRO.

Dear Adobe,I been forced by your policy to use the cloud documents in the last months. I spent every week a few hours in XD, but now suddenly all my documents are gone. How can that be? There is nothing in the trash bin etc.   Do you have any idea what to do?   {Renamed By MOD}   Best

Dear Everyone,   I am viewing a shared link in the browser on my MAC laptop using Firefox and Chrome. If the entire page 1 is viewed on the screen (when I zoom out), then the top of page 2 shows when the button linking to page 2 is clicked. If I do not zoom out and need to scroll down to the button on page 1, then the page location appears to be staying in place at that point on page 2 rather than "popping back up" to the top of page 2. On my phone, in the browser, this issue is not happening.   Is there any solution to this?   Thank you so much! Chava   {Renamed By MOD}

After today's (5/19/2020) update, I'm having an issue with my shared prototype url not working correctly, as in it's not matching the auto-animate that's working just fine in the preview window in XD. I've got a 2-artboard parallax auto animation set up, which works fine in the preview window, but once I "Share" and make/update the link it doesn't do the custom parallax auto animate on the url, it just dissolves from the first screen to the next. I've tried updating the link, making new links, deleting all links and making a new one. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I can't find anything that I'm doing wrong.
