Questions

I'm creating an app prototype for a school assignment in Adobe XD, but I can't figure out where to add the actual app icon (the one that would display on a phone's list of apps) to the app before sharing. All the tutorials I've seen seem to show an older version that has a share icon where the user can click and then drag the icon into a box before creating the link, but this doesn't seem to be available on my version (presumably newer). Please help!

Hi! I have issues opening XD. I keep getting the following error: "XD is damaged and can't be opened. Please remove XD. " I uninstalled and re-installed but still the same issue.  Can anyone help me? thanks! 

My team shared a file with me in CC and I click the link, however when I get redirected to my account the notifications panel opens up but it is blank. I can't accept the share and I cannot get access.   Any thoughts?   

I just spent nearly an hour with Customer Support and Sales to find out - that Adobe has stopped selling XD as a standalone product. Looks like they wont be supporting or updating anymore. Wanted to put this online so no one else goes through this hassle. I use it in a classrooom so I was attempting to onboard 90 students whne I found this out! Likley this has to do with the aquision of Figma - whihc no one has heard any pans about how this will work.

I did download creative cloud  - then download Adobe XD. It says - you have 7 days left.  What should I do after that? I need to pass exam on coursera  - I need more time for this program.

Hi,I'm creating a card component within XD and I have hexagons as a background. However, I only want whatever is inside the card component to be visible and anything outside it to be invisible. I can't fine a way to do this. I know how to do it for an artboard, just not a component.  Attached is an image of the card and I only want what is inside the red box to be visible. Please can someone advise the best way to to this? Many thanks!

Lately I've been investigating the responsible of slowly and sneakly filling up my storage. My primary drive is a 120GB SSD with the sole purpose of holding Windows and the Adobe Apps to work. All other stuff is installed in another bigger HDD.I've noticed that every time I start any Adobe Programs, they add some GBs to my storage, which will eventually disappear after I close the application. I have configured Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and InDesign to use another drive for the Cache and Temp files. However, there is no such option for Adobe XD.I found a temp folder in my appdata/local/packages folder literally named Adobe.CC.XD and it's almosts 17GBs!Is there a safe way to remove the cache or setting the cache for Adobe XD to be stored in another HDD? It is literally eating up my space!

Is it just me, or did something change on this latest version.I can't seem to drag layers to reorder them in the panel anymore. Anyone else having this problem?   <The Title was renamed by moderator>

Accidentally hit on Don't Save my XD file and now I don't find it. Is there any solution for this?

I have an issue in adobe xd where all of the color, character and component labels in the libraries panel are truncated when in list view. I assume that it has something to do with screen resolution, but my resolution is 1920 x 1080. Not uncommon these days. Anyone else have this and know how to fix it?  

I've been having this problem these past few months when exporting text from XD to AE.Text boxes began to import as separated boxes with 1 character, 2, 3... instead of a single text box.At first I thought it was because of a specific typeface but it happens with every typeface i have. I also tried changing the "text box type" in XD but it doesn't make any difference.I didn't have this issue before, one day it didn't work properly anymore and it's getting annoying to enter the text from scratch in AE.Hope it's easier than it seems to fix it! thank you in advance

Hello,Something weird has happened with XD for me. Yesterday everything was fine, today when I export a layout to PDF or other outputs, I no longer have the option to change the file name. I normally put the version number after the file name, like _V2. But today that file name bar has dissapeared. I've restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled XD, tried an older version of XD and I even updated my OS. Can anyone help. It's a pain to save out into another folder and then add the extenstion.  

...but they do show properly after that first time. It flashes white during the first attempt and you miss some or all of the transition.They were working just fine before the May update.

Hi,I have been searching through the community and other forums and can't seem to find an answer to a problem or a work around regarding being able to open smart objects imported from Photoshop in XD.The reason for this is that the image within the smartobject has to be at 200% double the size of the top layer artboard as i need to export out to be used in an inhouse process. Is there a way? if not would anyone recommend a walk around? many thanks in advance.

Folgende Aufgabe: Es soll ein horizontales Auswahlmenue simuliert werden. Jedes Bild hat volle Bildschirmbreite. Bei einem Swipe nach links oder rechts, soll das Menue "nachlaufen", bis das angrenzende Bild wiederum den Bildschirm in der vollen Breite einnimmt.Ist das machbar? Danke vorab!   

Dear Community, Searching the Discussions, I can see this has been written about before, but not specifically enough. I'm confused. I've created a dropdown menu. The dropdown menu's main button Component has a default state and a toggled state, revealing the dropdown menu. Now, I don't want the dropdown menu to show itself when the Button is in default state. So I Hide the menu in my Layers pane and I click on the button layer, to show the Component window, where I can toggle between its states. However, the moment I click Hide on the menu in my Layers pane, it truly hides.. and disappears seemingly out of the project. How can I get it back? When I do CMD+, the document simply zooms in. Even when I Lock it, I can't seem to simply find a way to get the button states right. It feels like such a basic thing, but I've been stuck with it for days to the point of frustration. I'd love to move forward. Please help me out.

When I open the adobe xd app on my screen and try to conduct live streaming by clicking on a single frame on my laptop, the app just won't show anything. pls fix this error as it is really important to see my screens live on my phone.Thank you

Recording button on XD does not work for mac! 

The tutorial says to drag the talin image onto the circle but it doesn't respond when I drag it from Finder and if I import it from the menu, it just sits on the top:   I'm using Mac OS.   {Renamed By MOD}
