Hi, In File > Project Settings > Expressions  we have a field named Expressions Engine and we can Select Javascript.We can then use modern javascript for our expressions. But When I tried to create a script, method like map, reduce.. on arrays are not recognized. Does it means scripting is still on LegacyExtendscript ?

I was trying to combine both text style & Sourcetext but it kept telling me it's not a function.I have the most updated version of After Effects.

I'm editing a comp for a school project and when I pause (space bar) and press play (space bar) the playback goes BACK to the beginning of my comp and not where I had paused it in my timeline. I'm trying to see my progress from when I'm editing in my timeline without having to watch the video from the beginning. How do I stop this? I must have hit a few keys of selected something to mess up my spacebar functions

I am using the newest update of AE and Premiere. I have a lower thirds template created in After Effects that animates in and out via the Position attribute. I'd like to make the source text, as well as the Position adjustable to accommodate different title lengths. When I export the .mogrt and open it in Premiere, the Position attribute is static and does not retain the keyframes from the After Effects project. So the lower third does not animate, it just appears and remains at one Position value. I'd like for the Premiere editor not to have to re-keyframe the animation, and instead just adjust the values of the Position keyframes I've set in After Effects as needed. Is there a way to export this .mogrt with a "Position In" and "Position Out" keyframe already in place, with adjustable values for Premiere?Thank you for any help!

Hi all, I've been using after effects for a while now and have never encountered this issue even doing very effects-heavy projects and 3D work. I'm getting system warnings that AE is using too much memory and I can't do previews more than 5 frames even though I have no effects applied, just 5 clips laid down in the timeline. I have no other apps open.

Sin embargo, cuando los conecto, en lugar de un solo deslizador, se genera un deslizador por cada keyframe del trazado.Vi que el youtuber Dustin DT en un vídeo corto  logra hacer lo que pretendo que es el giro del torso por medio de un deslizador, pero no tiene un tutorial explicando el proceso de como lo hizo. Asumí que lo hizo con el trazado y vinculándolo directamente al deslizador, pero no está funcionando.¿Alguien sabe cómo solucionar esto? ¿Es necesario usar alguna expresión específica para que funcione correctamente?¡Agradecería mucho su ayuda, porque es para un trabajo académico de una animación en After Effects

Hello guys, I couldnt install creative cloud as the .exe wasnt opening... so I used the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool... but after using this i can no longer start after effects, how can i fix this?

In the 3D scene. Contact shadow a little far from the object, there is some parameter that measures the distance? Another thing, I noticed is that the shadows generated are exclusive to Environment Light. Because even if I add a spot light, it only helps to illuminate and does not cast shadows on the floor like this Environment Light, is that right?

Since I work in Germany, I would like to have the place after the comma separated by a comma.  Unfortunately, this does not work as an addition:replace (".",","); Can anyone help me? Thank you very much!

Hey all,I am trying to animate a map illustration. I have a circle centered in my project over a start line (which is the route), I am wanting to move the map so the line to flows through the centre of the circle, keeping the circle pin centered in my project. Hi. I'm re-posting a question that I posted from last night to see if anyone has am insight: Hi. I am working on a project that uses roto brush a lot. Since I've been working on it, the roto brush has been taking progressively longer to propagate. Other than rolling the version of AE back to 18.1 (which seems to be the common suggestion to resolve the issue), is there another method to resolve it? I am using ProRes 422 files. I am running it on a laptop with Windows 11 and a decent amount of RAM (40GB) and I've upped the amount of RAM usage by AE. Is there anything else I should try?

I changed it from Premier to After Effect CompositionThe "The impact reported a general error" error window appears and cannot be converted to composition.When I import the corresponding clip in question as after-effects, the error window "After Effects; AEGP plugin première pro import; error reading effect info. some effects will be skipped" appears, but what is the problemThere's no codec problem, it plays well in the player, and it's a clip that doesn't have a problem when I'm working on Premier, but if I only take it to After Effects, I get a problem

Hello friends, I am trying to automate a task in our office. I want to move to every layer above in point. At each point it stops, there is a staggered text field that I want to overlay on the frame at that time. I came up with this script but cannot get it to save the Photoshop file. I am trying to devise a solution for outputting slides (still frames) from video. The frames that I want to output match a list of time codes. I already have a way to generate the list of time codes that need to be exported. Would After Effects be helpful with this? Is it possible to output frames based on timecode with a script or some other method? Thanks

How do I hide the preview thumbnail in the Project panel? It eats up a lot of valuable real estate. I see how to disable the thumbnails in Preferences, but not how to hide the preview area (which I don't need once I've  disabled the thumbnails):

I use latest Ae app. In my app Snapping of Current time indicator & Keyframe does not strong enough. Is there anyway to fix this?

I installed after effects from Creative Cloud and was eager to use it, but I kept getting the same message that said the app couldn't continue because of the CEP suite. I tried reinstalling more than once, and I still get the same issue. I also tried changing the permission on the app, and it didn't change a thing!! Can someone please tell me what to do? And if there's no solution, how can I cancel my yearly subscription without a fee?

Hi, I have applied some color control on a character's eye. Now I want to precomp it and duplicate for another eye. But When I precomp all the eye layers' color effects are gone. what is the best way to solve this?  I need help. Please guide me. Thank you.
