Dear All, Could you tell me how to enable the scroll bar function in the VR Comp Editor pane/tab?I have some .aep file that have more than four "Edit 1" on each. It's invisible fifth "Edit 1" in the pane due to the display resolution and the screen size(13"). I'm looking for how I can re-edit the fifth or sixth "Edit 1". I'm currently writing a script to bake camera animations. Due to the complex parent-child relationships of the camera, I've resorted to a somewhat clumsy approach: detaching the camera from its children, recording the values for that frame, reattaching its children, shifting the time indicator to the next frame...I've implemented a for loop to record the camera position values at each frame of the time indicator. Crash while using AEJuice plugin.AE last betaWindows 10

hello guys! I am following a tutorial for making a 3d Scene in ae using 3d element.The model i used was from quixel (using unreal engine 5.1 latest one),the problem is while exporting the 3d model(assets) the file format is fbx,though i change the format from fbx to obj which e3d supports now the texture which is exported is in jpg file. So the model in e3d is white i watch bunch of youtube toutorials where they do fix it via blender.but in my case i dont fully understand blender or a bit.I spend hour on web surfing anyone with some knowledge about this fix can show up and help...Any help will be deeply appreciated...the pic uploded by me here you can see the load material is option is disabledthe other screenshot shows the 3d model asset files that i download as it is (Note the obj file are the added one by me) 

Hello, my device is a notebook and has an 11th generation i7 processor, RTX 3070 GPU and 16 GB RAM. After tracking a 30-second video in After Effects program via MOCHA, when I want to apply Stroke and Fill effects, the program lags and crashes. - Updated all of my drivers, NVIDIA and Intel- Purged all of my preferences, cache, etcI also have 14GB of the 16GB RAM dedicated to After Effects under preferences.what should I do? Thanks

I finished my project after rendering and now I find myself in a very complicated situation.   I have Original  EXR files as my source  for After Effects after I rendered in Unreal Engine as PIZ.  Through Unreal Engine, I made many sub-directories folders since it doesn't do the job  Multi-renderPasses and overall it's 600 GB sizes. I do not want to lose cryptomatte if I compress it and In After Effects you can pre-render so what is the way to replace my original footage with a smaller size and lossless quality?     

Hi, when i import my ProRes-RAW clips into premier pro, they are usually converted to REC709. i change it there to S-log3 all fine. but when i go to render AE compostion and go over to AE. the Color is REC709 in AE and seems like doubled somehow.  How i can receive the same color (s-log3) from premiere pro (via render in AE comp) in AE. is this possible? i played a little bit with color space but didnt find a solution. BR Stipe

i have a scene with camera tracking plus i use advanced render in AE2024 so i extrude my text from it. I never wanna use element 3D so after extrude text i created a light but adoobe has a stupid restriction that we can't use light and shadow in advance render with simple light so okh, I made then Env. light which is not good option for flexible shadows like hard shadow etc... so after that wow i succeeded to create extrude text along with a hard shadow very tough but i.... which is also not possible in AE with classic3d bcz classic 3d show shadow easily but won't enable extrude option which is frkn strange (AND i am doing all this on another layer below which is a shadow catcher layer created by tracking camera shadow catcher option a simple shadow catch techniques nothing fancy like E3D) so after i accomplished to get a result like extrude 3d text with my desired hard shadow behind this 3d text with the help of advance renderer option but the problem is when i hide that shadow catche

I imported a movie clip in after effects, and the reverb is way off and high. What happened ? Adjusting reverb did not work, the pitch changed multiple times when I played the preview further, loud distortion ensued in a certain part of the clip. What happened ?

I was using puppet pin tool. My character already has a few pins and some of them are animated. Now when I click on one I've got an error message: After Effects error: Crash in progress. Yesterday I tried to open my After Effects file as usual.First the file didn't wanted to open because it threw me: bad format or not readable error.Auto-save copies didn't work for anything, keeps throwing me same error.Somehow I was able to get the file open, but then I tried to reload all missing footage, "you don't have permission to open this file" pops out.I went thru all folders, even what they suggest here: https://helpx.adobe.com/mx/x-productkb/multi/preferences-folder-read-only-error.html ...but message keeps popping out... I don't know if the file is already corrupt. Please let me know if there's something else I could try...

My color picker just changed seemingly all by itself while working in After Effects. I reinstalled the software but it's still the same. I'm working in 8 bit color and my "working color space" is set to "none". Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this?

Hello, this is something that happenes to me every once in a while and I have no idea why. As shown below, my speed graph just becomes really high for some reason and it's gets a bit annoying to edit this way since I can't see the whole graph properly. I'm not doing anything different with my keyframes so I have no idea what's causing this. I'd love to know if there's a way to fix it, or at least understand what's causing this. Thank you. 

hi I am new to after effects and i have a problem every time I set the frame rate to 60the video starts to be slow and at some point its just repet it self without playing the full video ( sorry for my bad en )   Title edited by Mod.

Hi,The issue I am having is not a problem with expressions, but I wanted to see if one could help solve it.I use the VCP plugin, Saber, on a mogrt that I share with video editors. Saber allows me to have a tapered draw-on text effect, based on a selected text layer, without having to bake anything down (Ie convert text to shape layers). This is perfect for the mogrt workflow, as I can create a dynamic animation that draws-on, and the editor can change the text and it updates.Recently on a project, there was an issue where the MOGRT using Saber appeared to make everything off-centre in Premiere (Although in rendered from AME correctly). I shared a post about this too. This caused some frustration and concern about the MOGRT workflow, and I wanted to get to the bottom of why Saber was doing that. But also wanted to see if there was an alternative way to achieve the draw-on effect, but still give the artist the same control over the text in the template. If you have any ideas, I

Hallo Zusammen,ab sofort möchte ich viele neue Videos erstellen, wo ich am Klavier zu sehen bin. D. h. ich spiele Klavier,meine Hände bewegen sich ständig, manches Mal überkreuzen sie sich auch. Ich habe hierzu als Hintergrund einen Greenscreen verwendet, da ich als Hintergrund zukünftig Fotografien einbauen möchte.Außerdem sind meine ersten zwei Videos etwas zu klein geworden, bzw. der Ausschnitt, wo der Hintergrund - später das Foto - zu sehen ist, ist zu klein.Siehe Anhang.Nun meine Frage:A) kann ich mich ( man sieht nur ein Stück von meinem Oberkörper und meine Hände ) und das Klavier freistellen und ohne Probleme einen neuen Hintergrund einbauen?B) ist es möglich, mein Video nach oben und zu linken Seite etwas zu verlängern, so dass der Hintergrund besser zu sehen ist?Ich würde mich sehr über Tipps und Hilfe freuen.Vielen Dank im Voraus.Gruß Angela

I used Saber effect for my Black png logo. I changed the Composite settings of the saber effect to Transparent, So I could see the white White background. I wanted the Glow color to Black. But I don't see the effect when I change the colour to black. I could see other colours not the black colour. Someone please help me since I am new to this. Appreciate in advance. here posted both screenshot with black and  blue glow colour effect. Please guide me.

I need to create a text based presentation, my issue is the template I'm using wont allow me to change the color of single letters, only the entire word. I was able to click into the text and it was easy to change individual letters but when I got back to the comp the text color change had not applied. So im guessing I can only change the text in the comp, but this template only gives me the option to change the color for the whole word. I cant add in another fill that allows me to make only the first letter blue. Why is this so hard to do? this seems like it would be simple to change.As you can see here I want only the first letter to be blue:When I go back to the comp its now back to white

Hey Guys, I have the source text of a layer referencing the comp name. I'd to edit the comp name and it update on the text layer. This is my code. compName = comp("Liam Carlin").name.replace(/a/gi,"a"); However I am not trying to replace the letter a with the same letter a I wasnt to replace it with a different glyph version of that font family. Is it possible? I am unable to paste the correct glyph letter into the expression editor as it just see it as the letter 'a'. ThanksLiam 

While editing my comp, my transform handles just randomly disappeared! I've tried the following:- The column for switches are on, as noted here- I've tried ctrl +shift + h as noted here, no effect I'm using After Effects 24 on a Mac. What else could it be?

I can't import my PSD file because of this error. I downloaded QuickTime, but it didn't work. What is a good alternative to solving this? 

Hi, reinstalled my iMac and Cloud app doesn't offer older versions anymore of After Effects, Media Encoder, Premiere. I have 27" iMac 2013 and macOS Catalina that still works like a charm. Except this annyoing Adobe service, that older versions of apps are not accesible. Please provide me direct download links to After Effects, Media Encoder, Premiere 2022.This is URGENT!

Hi Everyone !when you drag a new video clip to your timeline, how can you automatically trim the timelineto the exact *end* of that clip ?   I'm not talking about sliding the end point to the end of clip manually and clicking "n" on your keyboard.  I wonder if there is an automatic / more accurate way of doing this.Thanks for your help !
