i'm new to after effects and i want to render my composition. everything looks perfect when i preview in timeline but while rendering the clips i'm stuck with this error.please help

I am curently using a Mac, whenever I open After Effects(2024), the Menu Bar at the top disappears. The menu bar comes back when I click on other softwares or even the desktop, but quickly disappears when I go back to after effects, which is troublesome since I want to go to the Windows, Effects, and other tabs only available on the Menu Bar. Is there a way to fix this problem?

I'm trying to recreate this timeline effect, but I can't work out how to make the text/shapes inverted inside of the TV box whilst also moving everything along. Hello! Based on the Documentation, I should be able to set the settings on the Output Module by doing: render_queue = engine.adobe.app.project.renderQueue render_item = render_queue.item(1) output_module = render_item.outputModule(1) output_module_data = { "Format": "QuickTime", } output_module.setSettings(output_module_data) print(output_module.getSettings().toSource()) However, when I try to set settings in this way, there is no effect. I saw there's a bug that causes "[the] OutputModule object to be invalidated after the output module setting is modified, so you need to retrieve the Output Module again after you modify it." I tried reselecting, but either way the setting does not seem to be modified. Can anyone help? 

I was having a regular problem where After Effects would freeze up my whole computer when I was switching to File Explorer to find footage to import. The whole screen would freeze, the mouse wouldn't respond, CTRL+ALT+DELETE did nothing and after a few minutes the screen would go white and eventually come back. Even when it did, AE would remain unresponsive and need to be restarted. It turned out there was a really simple solution which can be fixed in the Preferences. In the import section, uncheck "Enable Hardware Accelerated Decoding". It's requires a restart but after that, the problem hasn't reoccurred for me!

Not quite sure how to explain this as I am very new to After Effects so hope this makes sense! I used the rotobrush tool at the beginning of my project to remove the background of a video. It's been working really well until I removed a section of video from later in the project (not sure if this is the actual cause of the problem though) and now the rotobrushed section keeps jolting ahead of the video. Everything I've seen says this could be a problem with the frame rate but I haven't changed anything since it was working and the composition rate seems to be the same as the original.

I have a lot of text layers. I have two expressions working but they're not working together. col = 0;row = index - 1;sl = thisComp.layer("CNTRL").effect("Text Size")("Slider");txt = footage("Use Cases.csv").dataValue([col, row]);text.sourceText.style.setFontSize(sl); So, if this expression ends with the "style.setFontSize" command, then it ignores the text that it pulls from the CSV and defaults to the set sourcetext. But if it ends with "txt" then it pulls in the proper text from the CSV, but I have no control over the Font Size. How can I get these two commands working together?  I've tried all sorts of rearranging. ChatGPT suggested this: USC = text.sourceText instanceof TextDocument ? text.sourceText : new TextDocument("");USC.text = txt;USC = style.setFontSize(sl);USC but I don't know what it's referencing thinking that this is viable. Once I hit the spacebar the sequence keeps playing over and over and won't stop, even when Ihit the space bar or click on other parts of the project panel. I tried updating the application and it stopped for a bit but now it's still happening. Not sure what to else I can do.

Le aplico a una capa un efecto pero no se ve, es decir modifico los parametros pero no hay cambios en la capa, por ejemplo aplico en una capa 2d efecto de resplandor para simular una luz y no se aplica. Probe descargando versiones anteriores a la de 2025 pero no logro encontrar una solucion. Me esta dificultando mucho ya que me inpide hacer trabajos y me limita a la hora de crear. These are precomps made from 23.976 fps footage. It looks fine at first, but once I restart After Effects, the timing becomes incorrect as shown below.This issue has existed since at least 2023, and likely earlier, but I only started using After Effects in 2022, so I can’t say for sure. Version of the app: 2025.3Platform and OS version: Windows 23H2Basic steps to reproduce the problem: Precomp a 23.976 fps clip in a 60 fps comp, save the project, then restart After Effects.

Why does my PC automatically restart while working in After Effects and Premier Pro?

I urgently need to us After effects 2025 but it will not open. My device meets the requirments to use After effects and all of the other adobe apps I have work fine e.g illustrator,photoshop,Premier pro but one day after effects stopped working. This was nearly 2 months ago The splash screen will load then disapper or The splash screen will glitch and not allow me to close it meaning I have to use task manager to close it - photo of the second outcome attached.  It gives me options to start in safe mode or reset prefernces but none of these options work and I do not have any plugins installed  I have repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled and even updated to the latest version v25.2.2 However even switching to older versions does not work. Here are my system specs - Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHzInstalled RAM 20.0 GB (19.8 GB usable)System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor I have even tried

so, I made a 20 seconds video, 1920x1080  I don't use any heavy effects, it is one of the "heaviest" effect and that's it. in the beginning, media encoder wrote 1-2 minutes as estimated time for render, but it's taking like 1 hour or more..  I built this PC for HEAVY Adobe use, PLEASE help 

So I'd been using after effects 2022 dor about 2 years now and had no issues with it. However I decided i wanted to try newer versions of after effects so I installed the 2023 version to see what new features I was missing out on.  Come to find out, one of the most important thing that i use on a daily basis had a key component missing. The 3d Camera was missing the pick whip that I would use to parent it to a null object. Without it, after effects is basically useless to me, I cant work without the 3d camera and a null object.  I've tried parenting the camera's individual position to the null but the point of interest would'nt be parented to anything so it would just be stuck there. I've also tried using the camera by it self but since I cant seperate the dimensions on the point of interest I could not animate it properly.  I don't want to go back to the 2022 version as I'd already installed the 2023 versions of every plugin that I need and they all have amazi

Hey everyone, my rotoscope was working for a second, then just completely stopped.  I know the basics of AE, so I'm sure I must have clicked something wrong.  Basically, I will start using my roto brush tool (see image below): And when I try to go around a fully highlight the subject, the roto brush tool doesn't connect/isolate the subject in pink like it's suppose to.  It just shuts off and goes back to normal like this (see image below):  I'm sure there is an easy fix or something I might be doing wrong!  Can anyone help please!?!  I've been trying to fix this for 2 days.  I cleared my cache, shut down and restarted a billion times.  Any suggestions or thoughts?  Thanks for any info in advance!  🙂

Specs: Mac Studio M1 max, 64GB, Ventura 13.0.1 I am running into a strange issue with a few files I got from Motion Array. The files are a variation of 3D renders exported as Mp4s and MOVs that I am using for some green screen backdrops and overlays. The original files have no artifacts, or glitches but once I bring them into After effects they are unusable. I have also tried rendering them to prores 422 using media encoder, but the artifacts appear in the renders. I thought I found my issue here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/footage-glitch-in-both-after-effects-and-premiere/td-p/10317417  Unfourtnately none of the fixes suggested worked, the anything enabling mercury acceleration helped with reducing the artifacts. Any suggestions would be amazing. 

In premiere pro, I have a lot of video one after the other. I want to make a transition between each of them (the same transition each time). Th transition is quite complex for Premiere, so I want to create a mogrt in after effects. So in AE, I have two video layer. But I need to be able to change the start time of each one.In PP :-video1-mogrt-video2in AE-end of video1-start of video2-in mogrtcursor 1 : time to start video 1cursor 2 : time to start video 2 In PP, I will change the videos and the cursors in the mogrt, each time I'll use it. But in AE, how can I change the startTime of each videos at the "start" of the mogrt ? Hi everyone. So eaerlier this evening I downloaded Sapphire plugin for AE; I was having some issues with it and a friend suggested just redownloading it, so for some silly reason I just decided to delete all of the Sapphire files (plugins, etc) off my laptop. However, since I did that, every time I've tried to open AE an error message appears saying: "Can't find Sapphire bundle in /Applications/BorisFX/Saphire 2022 Adobe/config/sapphire-ae64.bundle: file does not exist. Please reinstall Sapphire Plug-ins to fix this problem." I feel like I've tried everything: I've cleared ALL Sapphire plugin folders, I've reinstalled AE several times, I've reinstalled the sapphire plugins (and yet again deleted them) and literally nothing has worked. As far as I can see, there are absolutely no remaining Sapphire or BorisFX files or folders. I've tried clearing/resetting AE preferences. Hello, I created a video in After Effects where, in the middle of the video, an orange circle appears and gradually enlarges until it fills the entire screen. I would like to make this a touch-interactive video: When a user taps on the orange circle, the video should continue playing from that point forward. I plan to display this video on a touchscreen (interactive display), and I am looking for a simple and free method to achieve this, as it’s my first time working with interactive videos.
