Questions

I have created a counter in a composition. I also have keyframes with interpolation of Hold. I want to copy and paste hundreds of this keyframe and configure it so that each keyframe has a value of +1 of the prior keyframe. I could do this manually, but is there a smarter way to do it? Thanks for help!

I have a tripled layered audio spectrum, but it it only showing sort of inside a circle. I don't have any masks or anything on the image. I added three images to show one of the audio spectrums and how I it set up. Also, if I increase the maxIt's weird because if I enlarge the mask/helmet it will not get cut off at all. How to set media encoder to high priority? If I close AE, I can't get to this dialog. I also do not see any changes inside of the Windows task manager performance graphs. I would also like for Me to use more of the available ram. This image shows only 82 are allowed and only 4 is being used while I encode big h.264 files. Latest AE and Me. This is a problem I've never been able to resolve in After Effects. This is my method I use for illustrating invasions on maps:[1] Start with a base layer vector map and remove the ocean color using the "Linear Key":[2] Duplicate this map layer twice. This first copy right above the base map will serve as a matte for all other map layers (states/countries) above it so that they can be colored in without the color spilling over into the ocean part (except for the invasion mask layer which will use a copy of the invaded country as a track matte.)[3] The second copy of the map will be right at the top using a blend mode (Multiply, Color Burn, or Linear Burn). Like this all states and invasions below can stay in Normal blend mode, and there will be no spill over between states. I do a tracking in a video in after, I create a tracking solid, so far so good, it follows the right way, then I create a new solid, add 3D element and place a 3D object in the scene, everything appears fine. BUT WHEN I MAKE THE PARENT OF IT IN TRACKING THE 3D OBJECT DISAPPEARS!!! I've tried everything I can imagine but I couldn't solve it. HELP ME PLEASE 

I'm trying to animate a numbers counter showing the historical progress of time 1834 to 1934 where the counting up is driven by audio ticks. To do this,[1] I added an mp3 audio file to my timeline[2] Converted the audio file to keyframes and noted the audio threshold as "3"[3] Added a text layer and option clicked Source Text[4] Pickwhipped Source Text to Audio Amplitude I'm not sure what I need to do next,  but I have two major problems:[A] I'm seeing single digits instead of the yearly counting up that should be going from 1834 to 1920. [B] And I have a huge set of decimals when I entered these two integer numbers. Thank you very much in advance to anyone who can help me resolve this.    

Guys, hello, faced with this problem, on the previews from time to time on different footages missing frames, they are deformed, etc. I switched to official software, the same thing. Started AE in safemode and turned off plugins. The footage itself is not defective. I mean every foootage have this bug.Several dozens of times reinstalled Windows and downloaded different plugins, the problem remains.A little input:4070I7 12700kf32 gb DDR5Also turned off XMP profile on the RAM and turned off the overclocking of the processor, the same crap happens.Who has faced, please help, I pray, there is no strength any more to solve it.

 I have an nvidia rtx a5000 card. When I installed the latest version of the driver, I started getting this error. ae does not start and closes. After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <33240> <BEE_MiscTasks> <5> Set Artisan Task: Classic 3D  I switched to Cinema A4 and I get the same error.

If anyone could help me figure out this glich with the coin rotating? The file has three layers, the flat image of the coing front/back and then an extruded circle shape to be the coin. All layers are 3D. The front and back are parented to the 3D shape. I'm not sure why this is happening? All the shadows and lights are turned off. The layers are not overlapping. 

I looked up how to slow down footage in AE and found the 'Time Strech' Tool. The tutorials I found said to bring the percentage down to anything below 100%. In my project however, the footage needed to be above 100% in order to slow down my footage? Has it always been this way? Or did it change or do I have something wrong with my set up?

I am not using any 3D in my graphic, so I'm unsure how to fix it.

HELLO , I have a problem with a mosaic of 30 logos in After Effects. Only 6 logos are displayed and duplicated to replace the other 24. I have already purged the cache, restarted the computer and reset the preferences without success. The names of the images are not similar, which rules out any confusion due to file names. (the names of the logo images were similar ( logo(1) logo(2)..) but I renamed them differently and the problem persists Could you please help me to solve this problem or provide me with additional advice?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there. My colleagues and I are a bit stumped over why one machine seems to render much faster that the other two. We have three Mac Pro's, one each here. They're the same hardware specs, the software is the same. One of them renders out after effects file much, much faster than the other two, infact there's a horrible lag on the other two machines when trying to edit a file generated by the other 'faster' machine, and we can't figure out what it is.We've been through the files, turned off all effects to the point where we're basically dealing with 2D text and some shapes but still this awful lag...Specs on all machines is:Mac Pro (Late 2013)  Model Identifier: MacPro6,1  Processor Name: 8-Core Intel Xeon E5  Processor Speed: 3 GHz  Number of Processors: 1  Total Number of Cores: 8  L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB  L3 Cache: 25 MB  Memory: 32 GBrunning latest Mojave and After EffectsThe files don't employ any third party plug-ins either, although w

Hi i was trying to open AE when i suddenly get an error out of nowhere. its telling me that there are multiple copies of a plugin in my drive?? (actually it duplicated every single effect).. i dont know why or how that happened. my AE was working perfectly two days ago. ive searched for a solution everywhere and nothings working:/  ive restarted my computer, checked for the duplicates by going on the mediacore folder but theyre nowhere to be found.  please if anyone could help me find a solution..  also i dont really wanna uninstall after effects as it'd delete everything and ive downloaded a lot of plugins/presets etc and i dont think i can find everything ive downloaded anywhere 😞 ps. i have AE 2018 ps. 2 i also have AE 2017 but its never given me any issues before.. idk 

The problem: when I hold shift so that I can move a text from left to right (not up and down) After Effects lags extremely. But when I don't press shift, the text moves smoothly and without lag. Hello everyone, this is my first post here, this community it's amazing!I'm trying to make a mogrt with 9 text boxes that changes from export to export.The text must be justifyed to the right and follow the path of the shape of the circle.The text comes one by one from the bottom, and slowly with a pauze of 5 secound, goes up.The problem is that when i try to use text path to shape, and change the text it's going all over the place.... it's not statying in the text box. Thank you in advanced and hoped that you understand what i need.I've attached a picture with the layout

I've drawn a white square with no background so I have not imported any foortage. When I export the file I keep getting a black line around my transparent video from after effects. I'm exporting it as a quicktime, Apple ProRes 4444, Straight (unmatted), RGB+Alpha. I can not find any information online that suggest to do anything different from what I'm trying already. I've exported from render que and media encoder and get the same result. What am I missing?

Does anyone know how to fix this error? I have tried all the basic fixes such as restarting AE, my computer, resetting settings, turning off my plugins and the effects mentioned in the error screens, and importing the comp into a new project. I am now updating my Mac. I am running the After Effects 25.1. The error appeared out of nowhere. I can still open AE but I get that error when I open the comp. It is a big comp with some 3D (Classic 3D Renderer).My specs are:2022 M2 Macbook Air 13.6-inch16 GB of RAMMacOS Ventura  

So I have a new PC withIntel® Core™ i9-14900K processorNVIDIA® GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super - 16 GBAfter Effects 25.1.0 (build 68) When I start After Effects with a new project and I create a new composition with a white background:I get the following result:Even with a white solid layer:It looks to me that I encounter this known issue: Known issues in After EffectsThe resolution do works for me but it feels like I'm not using the full potentiol of my system then. Is there any update about this known issue? Hello,Sometimes I incur in an issue. It has now reached a point that it bothers me too much. So I ask to please help me understand:Only sometimes (very sparingly) if, in between 2 keyframes, I alter the keyed position of the layer, this results not in a new keyframe at the playhead position, but rather it modifies the PREVIOUS keyframe in the time line. The auto keyframe feature does not influence the above behavior.Any idea?It looks like a stupid question, but it makes me waste a lot of time.Thanks 

So, I was having some, what seemed to me caching issues when preview-ing in AE when rendering with transform_world, and couldn't find a way to fix it, until I accidentally stumbled upon following thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/writing-a-plugin-that-scales-the-layer-applied-to/td-p/14446281 Where @shachar carmi says following: "first off, the docs are wrong about putting in_data on the first arg." and continues down "so now we can see the first arg is actually the effect_ref (in_data->effect_ref) that should go there, but i put a NULL instead. (otherwise it checks for interrupts)" So I just trying putting NULL instead and that fixed my issue I had! So:1) What is this argument about and what is the difference between in_data->effect_ref and NULL2) Why is adobe keeping this in documentation if it's wrong

Hi!I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it's just how AE works, but I have 2 keyframes. The first has no ease, the second one has a 100% ease in.Does anyone know why there appears to be a slight curve on the first keyframe (see image)? I would expect there to be no curve there as I have not added any easing to that keyframe.And then when I click keyframe velocity > change nothing > click OK, it changes the curve (see video)? After Effects 25.1.0 (build 68)Macbook Pro 16" 2021, M1 Pro, running Sequoia 15.3.1

Hello,I want to draw 2 circles in the UI, and the following code used to work fine in the past (older AE version) but not anymore: DRAWBOT_PointF32 center1 = { drawRectF.left + point.x , drawRectF.top + drawRectF.height - point.y }; suites.PathSuiteCurrent()->AddArc(plotPath, &center1, 4.0f, 0.0f, 360.0f); DRAWBOT_PointF32 center2 = { drawRectF.left + point.x + 100 , drawRectF.top + drawRectF.height - point.y }; suites.PathSuiteCurrent()->AddArc(plotPath, &center2, 4.0f, 0.0f, 360.0f); center1 and center2 basically have a difference of 100px in X and that's it. With this code I was able to draw 2 circles 100px appart from each other. Now with the latest AE version (don't know in which version this changed), the result it kind of unexpectedI tried to use the MoveTo call between circles to prevent that middle arc, and it kind of worked but I only get half a circle for the second one, even though I specified the angles correctly. One other odd th
