OAM files are not responsive in Dreamweaver. Using responsive export publish settings in Animate CC latest version, I insert .oam file as an animated composition into latest dreamweaver with fluid layout and get this:  <object id="EdgeID" type="text/html" width="820" height="420" data-dw-widget="Edge" data="animation_assets/TexasAniCheck/Assets/TexasAniCheck.html">  </object>Width and height are hard coded and not responsive. If I change width to 100% it will scale but the height does not.This leaves a large gap below animation and additional content on page.If I set height to a percentage (100%) the animation becomes very small around 40x40px. If I remove height it disappears. I've been using Flash since it came out but can't transition to Animate CC without this fix. Please help.    

Hello,I´ve noticed that some changes made in the animate file started to update in after effects.I tried to change a symbol to see if it would update imidiatly like an ilustrator file, but it didn't work.But i had problems where a symbol disapears overnight in animate and in after effects aswell.  I'm new with animate, and by reading comments i thought that after importing tha file, an update was impossible.Does anyone know if it is possible to update the file and it just takes a lot of time?Also does anyone know why the symbols disappear? The mouth appears to be in the timeline with lip syncThanks!

I am using Adobe Animate to make a video with two types of navigation in html5 canvas. One of the two types seems faulty and activates multiple times for an unknown reason. I am wondering if Animate would be good for the following project: I have a few large boxes and with the click of a mouse, a smaller box extends out of the larger box. The presenter talks about the word on the small box for a few minutes, then they click again and the small box recedes back into the large. box. Is this possible in Animate? Or would AE be the better software? Thanks!!

How do I use something like document.getElementByName(); using javascript.   I get an error in the Javascript console on SafariTypeError: undefined is not an object Got it.   Load it up to server.   Doesn't work on local envirenment.

so i want to put my walk cycle animation into a seperate symbol but i accidentally animated it in the actual scene. somehow it doesnt work copy and pasting frames from the scene into a symbol, as well as copying all my layers into the symbol to make a complete replicate of the animation. thanks for helping out:)

so should i animate the traditional way with just drawing keyframes for my stickfigures(and make only cars and so on with classic tweens), or the modern way by converting each bodypart into a symbol, seperating it on layers and creating classic tweens, or using the bone/rigging tool? That one i didnt try much out but currently i use the modern approach. What do you think is best?

How do you do it? Should i just nest it and each time my character moves i just swap him with the walking animation? Or how should i use the nested aniamtion? Just remove the normal one and add the symbol at its place? How do you make it? Thanks for helping out 

I am using 21.0.8 on a Mac running Big Sur 11.5.2.  The problem I am encountering is with files that worked previously as well as new files. I am creating html5 ads and when I go to publish, I get the error that says "Output directory could not be found. Please update and try again." Initially, I thought that I either had moved the folder I was publishing to or I had a character in a file name that isn't allowed. I have double checked both of these things and didn't find anything wrong. I can publish to my desktop but the moment I make a new folder on the desktop to publish to, I get the same error. I have even tried naming the file and the folder with just one letter in the hopes that it really was a naming error I was missing. It did not work. I would prefer not to publish everything to my desktop as there will be a lot of files that I need to keep organized. I have cleared Animate's preferences and uninstalled and reinstalled it. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi, happy new year!I would like to render my animation in order to put it into Davinci Resolve for editing. Unfortunately, the render is blurry, especially at a certain part of the video.I am using Media Player on Windows to view the animation. I also uploaded the animation to Youtube to test the quality and the same issue is visible. How can I fix this blurryness? Below are the settings I am using for exporting from Adobe Animate and using Adobe Media Encoder. Which preset in "Export Media" is the best to use? I want it to be lossless because I will edit it in a video editing software. I am new to render settings/codecs so I'm not sure which preset is the most storage efficient. Thanks for your help!

When I drew my animation work, it went black and my computer crashed.I restarted it and I found that my Animate file could not be opened.I haven't change anything with setting, and I had restarted my preferences but it still not works.I feel sad cause I done my works been half, so can someone help me?Just like this, it means there is error with open this file. I made an application in Adobe Animate using action script. My problem is, all the buttons work fine with no slow response but when pressing one of the buttons it starts to slow down to play it? Everything else is okay, only the button in that part

Recently, the new Animate CC 2019 update came out with a whole bunch of new content. One in particular that caught my eye, auto lip syncing. I updated flash, went on and made some symbols to test out the auto lip sync, I clicked on one and then went to lip sync and tried selecting the mouth positions, but the only one that showed up was the one I clicked on. I think I am doing it wrong but I made a lot of separate symbols and clicked on one, can someone help me out?

I dont want to use movieclips because you cant see the previewed output, so I am trying to use graphic symbols everywhere. The problem arises when I have a looping graphic with graphics inside of it.Specifically, I have a running animation that is a looping graphic, it is made up of character limbs which are also graphics.If I want to change the animation of these individual limbs or body parts, like have the eyeballs move around etc over the duration of the scene, then theres no way to because the looping automatically resets the position of the graphic. At this point I might as well forget using nested graphics altogether and just use parenting instead. I cant use actionscript because that doesn't trigger during playback, therefore I wouldn't see the previewed output. Is there someway to set the graphic so that it accumulates the value of its initial frame?Thanks for your time. 

Hello. So, I have this character that wears glasses. They're drawn on a different layer and the Multiply belnd is applied to them. On the test scene however, the layer is ignored and shows nothing. I tried opening up a new file and just copying and pasting the layers, but then ALL of the layers were ignored, even the hidden ones. And the glasses layer still displayed being on Normal.  So, clearly this scene is cursed. Any ideas?

so i thought i could like put the walking cycle animation into a symbol, so that the person is just walking on one point in the symbol, and then in the scene i just drag it and use a classic tween to move it. do professional animators also do it this way? i would make an equasion for the walk animation, so it doesnt look slidey and measure the distance across the frame count to make it fit perfectly. is this a good idea or should i rather make it individually?

When i export my video in any resolution so its objects are cracking from the corners, myart board size is 1080 x 1920 so can anyone explain this issue. How can i get perfect video ?

Hi there!Since a couple of day I got problems saving my FLAs in Animate CC. Whatever I do... edit an file, oder start a new one... Animate won´t save the file with an error message "Could not save as XXX" and "Try to save to another place". All files will be overwritten and have the size of 1kb.  I remember it startet with upgrading to High Sierra a couple of weeks ago. I had the problem short after upgrading - but a simple Animate CC restart worked out. But now this doesn't work anymore...I really need help because I have jobs to get done...Thanks a lot!Flo

I am using Adobe Animate 2021. I have an animation created in 1920X1080 Full HD, frame rate 30, Platform type Action Script 3. When I export using Export>Video/Media to video with H.264 Present: High Bitrate the video exports blurry.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can't save my project in Animate. It tells me to change the file name or location, but neither of those options do anything. I've tried saving as .xml, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I've tried using older versions, I've tried all recommendations I can find in forums and else where but can never save my projects.I have a Windows 10 Surface Book with I7, External Hard drive with 4 TB, and my project includes a .png sequence.The exact error is "unable to save the document as ___ Please try saving to a different file name or to a different location."Thanks,Jorel

Hello, we're creating 21 animated display ads that uses Classic Tween motion for the animation. Each file has 12 layers, and most of the layers have a Classic Ease motion applied somewhere along the timeline to create the illusion of animation in 4 frames (either ease in or ease out). We'd like to add Classic Tween to the Motion Presets so that we can quickly apply the Tween to all the different symbols/layers, but I'm getting a dialogue box that says presets are only for Motion Tweens 😕😕  Can someone help with this issue. Is there a way around this, or another feature that would allow us to accomplish the same task? Thanks.
