I'm using Audition CS6 on both a Windows 8.1 laptop and a Windows 7 tower (with UAD cards). I'm considering buying the UAD Signature Edition UAD-for-all plugins package to use with my laptop as no hardware is required. It's a good price right now.Any problem with installing these in Audition?Much thanks.  

hey there! i try to record on mac book air m1 2020 to audition.eventhough i seem to do everything rigth, there is NO SIGNAL comming into audition from mac.neither from inbuilt mic nor from an extern one.but looking to mac (systempreferences) i can see the signal of the mics.why does it not come to audition?i selected evrything like told... need help! thanks in before, robert 

Hi all,In Adobe Audition is have this audio clip I want to remix (so I can extend its duration), only it's not working. Constantly when I press the "Remix" button it says "Analysis failed". I tried to remix just a normal song I had and this worked fine. It seems like all the time when I want to remix this small 2 seconds clip it's not able to remix it. The screenshot attached shows the Analysis failed. How can I solve this so I can extend my audio clip?Mike.

Like the title says, the export option is grayed out. How do I export this project as a music file?

Hello there..  I am new to Audition. Just wondering if there is a simple one or two click approach to editing a file so as to reduce or eliminate the noise floor.  I used to use Hindenburg and they have a pretty sophisticated noise reduction functionality that eliminated ambient noise from the entire file in 2 clicks.  So my approach had always been to do this as a first pass and then to go back in and clean up any additional mouth clicks or other unwanted sounds. I'm sure Audition has something similar for a first pass, I'm just not familiar with it..  I'd appreciate any input on a similar approach for Audition and/or any video links that may be helpful. TYIA

I use Audition only for multitrack mixing and exporting to .wav and .mp3. Recently, I was working on a session for several hours when the master mix track went dead, meaning that it no longer receives the signals from all of the session's tracks. I spent a couple of hours troubleshooting this to no avail. It's not a routing error. The session is useless now. Auto-saved session files have the same bug. I've opened previous session that work fine. I have been using Audition since before Adobe bought it and called it Audition (20 years?). Any ideas? Image attached.

I've been recording an audio drama for the past week and as I've been reviewing the recordings I've found that some of the tracks have a strange sort of static quality to them, while others don't. These tracks were recorded in the same multitrack session with the same presets as the clean ones, yet they're unusable. Is there a way to fix this, or will I have to re-record? I've attached an example to this thread.

Hi all,FYI I'm extremely new to the world of audio recording and brand new to Audition. I worked with Focusrite support last night and, after recording in Garageband and Reaper, we determined that the issue is unique to Audition.Anything I record is crunchy/static-y. I've hardly touched any settings (because I don't know which way is up yet lol)Sounds a lot like what this guy experienced.  The correct interface is selected for both input and output and I can hear myself just fine through my headphones. I clicked on the Razor tool and now it appears whenever I'm in an editing box.How do I stop or get out of the Razor Tool so I can get back to the cursor/pointer?Thanks.

Hello, I often nee dto mix the audio for videos, I receive a project and there are a lot of clips, where the file is a stereo one, but in reality it is a multichannel with 2 mono channels. Is there a way that I can split it without going through the files management and splt to mono? Because if I have let's say 30-40 clips like that, I need to go through all that process and resynch each clip.Can't I do it directly in the multichannel editor keeping my synchro?

I'm currently mixing a track, which involves some NY compression on vocals (using a pre-fader send from the vocal track to the NY compression bus). However, when I export the file, the vocals sound choppy and jumbled. When I mute the NY compression bus it's gone and when I make the send post-fader, the problem is also gone. But I would still love to have the send pre-fader. Can somebody help me out?

Hi!  Could someone tell me how I would translate this instruction onto my AA  please? The first is the example someone sent me and the 2nd is what I am currently seeing on my AA.  They said -  I suggest that you use an equalizer in your audio editor and activate the high-pass filter with a setting similar to what I show you in the image, and that should be enough. Many thanks,  Katie 

Hi, just as the title suggests I would like to know how to extract vocals from a song so I can then use it as an acapella using Audition CS5?Also whilst I'm here, again using audition CS5, how can I determine the bpm of whatever sound file I have open, and furthermore how can I then match the bpm from another sound file to match the bpm of the track I'm working on?Thanks for your timeDan

Hallo zusammen, ich möchte in Adobe Audition insgesamt 518 jeweils ca. 10 Sekunden lange .wav Clips mit einem Effekt versehen und diese wieder einzeln mit dem gleichen Datei Namen raus exportieren um somit ein 1zu1 abbild zu erhalten, aber halt dann mit dem gewünschten Soundeffekt. Finde leider keine Möglichkeit und das Internet hilft mir auch nicht weiterFreue mich auf Eure Hilfe!

How can I insert the Windows 10 speech recognition default voice "Stefan" into Audition in effects/speech. I always only have one female vote for election.  

Hi Everyone. Due to new/improved possiblilities in Spectralayers and UVR software I now started to work with multiple (8) wave files (vocals & instruments) in Audition multitrack mode at the same time. I gives you a better mix in the end. I've set all available pc memory, 32gb, to Audition in settings. (F4) Still Audition starts hanging after some editing into a few tracks. After getting a nearly white screen and taking my time, I'm still able to save the new settings into this multitrack. Saving the wave files in 32 or 16 bit, and into the multitrack settings, doest make any difference.Does anybody else have the same experience?  Thanks for reading and hopefully a process solving reply.Windows 11 23H2, AMD Ryzen 9-3900, AMD X570 Aorus Ultra. Can someone please help me out because I'm losing my mind.. When I'm editing multiple audio files in Adobe Audition, the playhead moves in sync. So: when I edit something at 20 seconds in file 1, suddenly my playhead is at 20 seconds as well in file 2. But also when I zoom in on file 1, file 2 is suddenly zoomed in as well. And when I select the first 20 seconds in file 1, the first 20 seconds are selected in file 2 as well. I do not want these features to sync, I want them to work independently. Right now I'm constantly trying to find the right part I was working on and it costs me so much time. I've been using Audition for years now and never had this issue before. I'm working on the latest version and the only difference I can think of is I switched from a windows laptop to macbook air recently. Can someone please tell me how to fix this issue?  Techs: audition 24.2.0.83, macOS 14.2.1 (23C71)

Searched far and wide with no results. Mic worked fine on my old computer. Just got a new MSI Cyborg 15 a12vf and the audio will not record no matter what I try. Updated Realtec and GeForce drivers. Mic works fine in Windows built-in sound recorder as well as Audacity. Also works fine in Premier Pro. Not sure what to try next. Hopefully, someone can help! 

I'm looking for someone skilled in forensic audio. Specifically to enhance/isolate voices in a conversation. I've included a piece of audio as a .wav attachment. 

I'm recording mono from a microphone in Waveform (not multitrack) mode.Unfortunately the Levels display only functions during actual recording and playback.At other times it just shows -♾️️.How can I monitor my input level so I can test the input without recording?Even hitting pause while recording stops the level display.

Hi all, hoping someone can help here. Current setup is Rodecaster Pro via USB to Macbook. One mic to input 1 and headphones to monitor line 1. Track is recording audio, however I now cannot listen to playback. What should the input/output be assigned to? I plan on recording a podcast. Not sure if the setup will be 2 mono tracks for each mic? or a single stereo track(interview). Appreciate and help. Thanks. - Paul

I can load tracks into audition, but when I try to play the tracks the cursor will not move and no audio will play. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Hello.If I make a mix of several tracks uploaded to Audition from FLAC files and listen to the final version, everything is fine. Unfortunately, when I save the finished mix as a FLAC file, crackling appears in many places. This doesn't always happen. This most often happens in places at the upper end of the range, but not always. Crackles may also appear during quieter sections. I don't understand this, because I load tracks in perfect quality from FLAC files, I don't change the volume in them, I just combine them with each other and nothing else. The listening experience with Audition is perfect. Only after saving it turns out that there are crackles in the saved FLAC file. When I save it as WAV, the sound is perfect. If I save it in the FLAC format, i.e. lossless, why doesn't the song sound identical to what it sounds in Audition?   [Mod note: this is not the same problem as the one in the thread you posted in, so it gets its own one, with FLAC mentioned explicitly in the title
